Ummmm. . . please yourself, but it seems a little funny to me that you'd spend so much money and time upgrading a bargain basement instrument. Wood quality does affect tone, and better guitars come with better hardware as well. . just sayin'. I have that model Crate. Do the new tubes make any real difference? Btw, wasting time on Evangelical Atheists is pathetic. They just want to spread their gospel of disbelief. Ignore them.
@82compoundw The tubes were a big upgrade, but I would suggest their new el84 variants for more breakup at lower volumes while still having headroom, do to the volume these amps put out, I would also suggest putting a WGS Invader in their as well. As far as my guitar goes, I have played $300 to $6000 dollar guitars and my guitar sounds great in comparison, if anything I have grown beyond the neck size a little. The squier resonates very well and has great tone. -PK
hey pastorkev is this a nice guitar to mod? i want to start a guitar project and try to put some lace sensors gold and new wilkinson hardware on it, or maybe should i go with the classic vibe series, i want a good axe at a resonable price, what do you think?
@wretcheddog This is a good guitar to mod but It would be better to buy a Xaviere strat, they are higher quality then the Squers affinities (for the most part) made today. Their website is guitarfetish(dot)com. Either way you will have a funn project that in the end you wont regret. Check out the bridges and stuff they sell at guitar fetish. -PK
@maciverandy This may be your conviction, but to me God is more than real. I have had so many experiences with God that it is impossible for me to agree with you. I know at one point in time I had a hard time believing God exists and thinking it was impossible for there to be a God, but now I know there is a God. I have seen God heal and have been healed by God. I respect your opinion, but I encourage you to seek out truth and not just make statements. God bless you and have a great day! -PK
@pastorkev777 i guess if that works for you...i just hate watching my fellow man waste a perfectly good sunday worshiping some fake daddy in the sky...you should be playing a gig with that great amp you've got!!!
@maciverandy I get to play at church every Sunday and most Wednesdays, I play in two bands my own called Legacy, I am the only member at this time, and my friends band called Fare Warning where I am the lead guitarist and in this band we are recording a CD. I have many blessings and opportunities that only have come about since I became a Christian. Funny thing is that I wouldn't have ever learned to play guitar because I had too many problems in my life, I hated myself and now I have love. -PK
@pastorkev777 i dunno dude...your music is probably all about jesus and god...do you think maybe you are masking all your old problems with god? do you think maybe you are still that old kev but with a new cult? i just don't think you should base your life off something that can't be proved?!
@maciverandy I can't mask a problem when it actually doesn't exist anymore. To mask something it has to still exist and like the time my neck was healed, I feel no problem anymore, anyway just because one gives their life to God doesn't mean that they are problem free, I didn't give my life to God because it was going to be easy, but I gave my life to God, because I realized I am in need of a savior, as I dishonor God, sin in my life. He isn't my crutch but strength, I can't live without God.
@maciverandy I am not the same person I used to be, if you knew me before and now you wouldn't recognize me, I came from suicidal to optimism and continuous joy. I am definitely not part of a cult. A cult controls your life, giving you one option or default back to whatever you did before, at my church we have a belief system, but my life isn't micromanaged by my pastor, I can choose to do the wrong thing or even the right thing but in a different way. I have free will. -PK
@maciverandy A cult is not defined as a organized system of beliefs this is what the definition of an religion is. A cult can be defined in many ways, many people think a cult is simply a religion or a faction of a religion that is on one extreme. I focus on this definiton, "a group having an exclusive ideology and ritual practices centered on sacred symbols, especially one characterized by lack of organizational structure," or ... -PK
@maciverandy "a quasi-religious organization using devious psychological techniques to gain and control adherents." These both are more modern and specific definitions of a cult. I am not controlled but choose to follow. I can prove a lot of things in the bible (Christianity) in real life. Anyway what do you believe? It may be science based, etc. We all believe something. The funny thing is most religions or things we believe can't be proved completely and the faith factor comes in to play. -PK
@pastorkev777 yeah...what do you think the christian faith is? look at your definition of cult. i'm a non-believer. i believe you make the best of this world, and thats it. i dunno, maybe getting on your knees or waving your hands in the air as if something is going to fly into your soul makes me think of jim jones and heavens gate followers? you can't prove any type of god to me. not allah buddah muhammad jesus zeus thor...they are all just make believe things. i guess i believed in santa claus
@Edward681 In this guitar no problems but for a mex-mede guitar buy the appropriate block. I am curious about how a brass block would sound and react. If your guitar is pretty trebley and not muddy a brass block is the the best choice otherwise get the steel block. -PK
@antimanque90 Funny this is a year old video I'm on carpet so I'm safe for electrical current but I always wear shoes when playing guitar anymore now anyway. Thanks anyway. -PK
Hey methusalah2 the steel block is truly awesome much bigger improves sustain, dynamics, a little more crisp and ballsy tone and well does what it is supposed to do, quality! -PK
oh man so good and reminds you wonder guitar q I q I wore a homemade music then I used a model sx STRATO old and not very fit but not VLW guy get in touch with me I saw his videos I found good
Thanks and for cross reference check out the gfs lil killer! If you want a little more big humbucker sound this will deliver! There is a slight thing bass lacking sound to the little 59er! But easily fixed with a little more bass and a good amp! If I did the guitar a second time I'm not sure if I would've used gfs or not! I probably wou;d have bought a hss pickguard and a real humbucker! rockfield or gfs for that! God Bless!!! -PK
