The game is definitely an improvement on the first FEAR and it looks great and probably better than the first game, what I don't understand is why is it still using DirectX 9.0c?

It shoudn't be lagging if your DC is 8800GT.

Mine is 9800GTX+ and there are rarely lag scenes in my games.
