I saw a booklet called Rhapsody; Printed by the Christ Embassy church. In the suggested prayer (what is commonly called the sinner's prayer), the words sin, I am a sinner, Coviction, Repentance, Jesus came to die to take my sin and my shame - all these are missing. I really appreciate Walid's teaching. But I can't stand the hyper-showmanship and the "when I heard that...that blesses me, that blesses me" garbage...

These hyper-showmen piss me off. They do good works for their own benefit. They never show an ounce of humility, and everything they do centers around getting attention.

But I am not a great Bible scholar, so it is very encouraging to hear people like Walid and the good debates at ABN and the Acts17Apologetics people; I no longer feel alone and confused about these matters; they confirmed for me what God has been telling me about Islam and the last days of this present world system.

This end part with the "laying on hands" in fact disturbs lots of people. However that is mostly do to the unfamiliarity or uncommonness of the action. Hope no one was put off by it. this is the heart of humanity trying to connect spiritually, which is not always seen outside enthusiastic religious circles!

It is better to call the Bible "The Word about The Word Of God", because the whole Bible is about Jesus Christ, who is The WORD of God.

Some of the words used in the Bible are not simply understandable as "the words of God" for example the Bible records some things said by the enemies of God, and some things said or written by God's people when they were confused; the book of Ecclesiates has much like that; an old man reflecting on life and trying to make sense of it.

Hello people there is one thing I wish to share with you. In Isaiah 9:5-7 the Messiah is called "Everlasting Father". We Christians always quote this. In fact this is not exactly right! I know a little bit of Hebrew I can read it as long as the Nikkudots are also used. In Hebrew it says "ELI". Meaning "My Father" not "Everlasting Father". I wonder why this is translated into the western text? This makes me wanna translate the Bible myself & share it to the world.
