i had one just like it when i was 14. creamed a ditch doin about 40 and twisted it pretty bad. SOB would run though, the guy i bought it from claimed to have tore down the motor and bored it .50 over. fist bike i ever broke 100 MPH on.
Sweet....I had one of these in 72 while stationed in Hawaii....lots and lots of fun....ride them anywhere.....thanks for posting ....brings back great memories...
i had the same headlight problem with my dt 125, I put a brand new battery in it and it worked forawile and so i changed the magneto for recharging, and now it works fine

I remember my brothers friend had one of these. Same color! I was 10 at the time and i thought this bike was Soooooo cool. I remember that sound like it was yesterday. My brother had some 125 that he just hated, and then he bought one of the first 1976 XT 500's sold in southern california. He was just thrilled with that bike. He finally had a bike that could beat his buddies 360. The XT one was the beginning of the thumpers and it really was a fast torguey bike. My brother couuld wheelie all day
Sweet ! I had a 1973 DT-2 250 Competition green. The front fender was changed to a "Mudder" and it had a Hooker header exhaust. I wish I never sold it! Never sell yours dude, what a gem! I have a 2007 DRZ400 Suzuki now. But I still miss my old 250!

Very nice. I remember seeing these turned into mx bikes, by those that couldn't quite afford the latest true mx bikes, circa mid/late 70's.
