Death proof was about woman prevailing the nature of a psychopath, there are hardly ANY movies that challenge the same tones. As far as his film making, it's ground breaking. He brought old school character development as far as Great Classic Fims go into modern day "Method" mixed with greatly talented actors, with a story complimenting the characters wonderfully.

Other directors/screenwriters would be discombobulated with his format, and could never pull off what he's capable of.
