  • @topwing93 Speaking of...or the husband/wife aerobatic team in Texas almost 30 years ago: she announced his routine on the PA while he flew a Partenavia P68C. He tried to do a high-G pull and both wings ripped off, followed by the empennage twisting as he fell. I heard his wife yell out over the PA system "NO!!!", then said "I need you..." Haunting words.

  • @topwing93 I agree. Regardless of professional capacity, we're all human and tragedies like this touch us all. It reminds us not only how fragile the human body can be, but also how easily it can happen to anyone at any time. I suppose that is what contributes to our urgency to strive for a quality of life while we're still alive.

  • @topwing93 I did aircraft recovery for ten years and I've seen it all: blood, flesh, brain matter, urine, feces. All tragic ends to once-pleasant flights: flight into terrain through clouds, spins, structural failure, two midair collisions. There are some scenarios I simply will not discuss here; let's just say they were sadly fucked up. There was always reverence and sanctity practiced during the recoveries. How could anyone not?

  • OHH DAMN!!! RIP to all who died.

  • oh goodness, This is soo sad to see! god please rest his soul!

  • That was intense!!!! u can still se the pilots clothe flapin mid air

  • Wait, did they eject or not?

  • @spwhitehurst2014 Take a look at the moment of impact: both were probably killed instantly.

  • R.I.P

  • They knew the risks involved and died instantly doing what they love. My heart goes out to the family or any small children that witnessed the accident.

  • Die waren sofort tot.

  • look closely, you can see one of the pilots catapulted out of the aircraft :

  • Poor guys.

As a boy, I used to live for airshows. But the sheer pressure for pilots, nations and spectators to keep up with the latest tricks that they see performed in someone else's airshow...has made this too damn dangerous.

No nation is exempt from airshow accidents.

    Physics is physics.

All of these maneuvers are unspeakably dangerous. And no amount of courage or patriotism can make it safer.

  • yup, both flew out of planes.

  • Wow, that is one SERIOUSLY HARD Impact. Its very sad, but death wuold be instant. No pain, but more important is that no-one else was hurt.

  • 2 pilots die.

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!

  • They wouldn't have felt a thing.

  • No pilot in the plane they showed coming down. Brutal unsurvivable impact.

  • poor bastards

  • I'm from Radom, Poland. I see this for my eyes...

    terrible :(

Rest In Peace from Radom to Gorzów wlkp. (pilots was from this town)

  • R.I.P.

That was the last flight for this pilot?

  • Yes, for one of them. One was old, for him this was to be last flight. Second pilot was young, very young...

  • I, just hope that they dident feel anything when both planes collided. R.I.P to those pilots.

  • with planes as weak as those they must have been killed before hitting the ground...

  • duh..wut do u think ..they crashed and they died right away..obviously..use ur common sense

  • i was stating common sense.

jus to those who dont know.

  • acutally if you don't watch the public TV version like this, and watch the raw video somewhere on youtube you can see the piloits like fly out of the planes

  • u can also see to right of plane appears to be body. 0:14

  • one of the pilots ( he was about 67yrs) he has been taking medicines and he shouldn`t be flying, but doctors said thais could couse crash, but thing is that they didn`t see each other seconds before crash, great pilots they where and we will miss them, rest in peace

  • not true , NO PILOT over the age of 60 is alowed to fly anymore so wat you said is impossible besides both of them were young men read about it, dont make things up.

  • That is not entirely true either. Anybody over the age of 60 can fly, even without keeping current with their medical, but only as a Sport Licensed pilot. I am certain those planes were WW2 Fighters (which are not light-sport) therefore the pilot would not have been authorized to fly. At the same time, this video is from Poland, not the United States, and it was in 2007.

  • The planes involved in this crash were both Zlin Z-526's, which is a sports plane and not a WWII fighter. Pilot was therefore authorized to fly. The "older" pilot was also the group's founder and had successfully performed this stunt countless times.

  • They both would died from the fall, but the one who looked like he hovered in place for a while, he could died right on in pack because the sudden stop could stop his heart, and could of cause imidiate organal damage.

  • Thats what i call getting your wings clipped

  • no co-pilots?

  • how can there be a co-pilot in a one person airplane?

  • interesting

  • be their souls always fly high. RIP from Japan. What kind of planes were involved?

  • Zlin 526 (Czech made) of Polish Żelazny team.

  • that is the same manover like rammstein.

  • You're correct: 'Arrow Through The Heart', which had far more disastrous results at the Rammstein show when flown by the Italian Frecce Tricolori team.

  • i bet the guy in the left plane was like "omg omg omg omg HOLY SHIT!! fuck omg, what the hell- holy shit dude are you guys okay??" and when he flew over the debris he must have been shocked... i feel sorry for him, and the other two pilots and their families

  • like i said you are a regular asshole and please shut the fuck up.

  • You're an ass hat.

  • ouch.. my dad flew f - 18's and his buddy died cause he hit a side of a mountain in the fog.. the plane and him explded into a million pieces.. they never even found one part of his body

  • If the one coming in from the right was only going about 20mph slower they would have made it

  • I was there and i saw it. It was horrible! I will never forget it! But , pilots , you will be forever in my memory!

  • both were killed dude

  • im a pilot, first lesson i had in school was, leave stunts for pro's!

  • im in air cadets,(14 old)

  • they tought me that too...but the fact is that the 2 pilots that died were both pro's...

  • Both of them were pros. And don't put an apostrophe before "s" while making plural.

  • unless he put the apostrophe there to account for the shortening of professionals

  • i am going to remove any coments that are insensitive and disrecpectful some people have no respect for the dead

  • Neither survived.

There are still frames showing the pilots being tosses from the planes.

  • wow.

    terrible accident.

    R.I.P

    Bad luck, just bad luck

  • My coworkers witness this tragedy right there on scene while providing support for this airshow.

  • ouch

  • damn RIP homies!

  • R.I.P

  • real bad.

  • my respects for him

  • oucheroo

    bet that hurt

  • R.I.P. from Kentucky

  • Yep ban driving, crossing the road, taking aspirin, walking on a slippy floor, going down some stairs, drinking alcohol etc etc these are all far more dangerous than airshows. Ban airshows? What a dumb ass thing to say!!

  • hisdfsd

  • let's ban ignorant people from posting...like you!

  • How about banning driving. More lunatics doing that.

  • Did they find the bodies?

  • RIP from czech soldier

  • I'm sad for this. I'm italian , I love Frecce tricolori and the dinamic of this accident seems to be Frecce's crash on Ramstein.

  • I remember Flugtag 88 as it were yesterday, my friend. I must agree with with you. My heart to the pilots families and friends and to the spectators - who will forever remember this tragic event.

  • szkoa mi tych pilotow, RIP z Nowego Jorku :(

  • Scary Oby nigdy wiecej tak sie nie zdarzylo

  • I was about to go to Air Show in Radom on the day after, when I heard they have crashed.. this is really sad, lucky they didn't feel a thing. RIP

  • Didn't feel a thing? I highly doubt this was an instant death bud. These are old planes.. no explosions.. just a lot of thrust and metal colliding into you. If they died in the crash. It would've hurt bad, but he probably lived for a few after that.

  • Of course they didn't feel a thing, they were undoubtedly knocked out and killed instantaneously and simultaneously. Plus shock from something massive like that takes away all pain. I would know.

  • Have a look at the Reuters' still photos, much better resolution and more telling, I see no bodies, just pieces----hamburger basically. Squishy soft stuff (human bodies) doesn't stand up too well on impact with metal. At a combined speed of --what?--300mph?

    Hamburger.

  • wow ur an asshole... RIP FROM PENNSYLVANIA, USA

  • you dont know much about aviation do you? these weren't old planes, fairly new. And these pilots were both killed right away, thank god they didn't suffer.

  • I wouldn't call these planes new, since production of Zlin 726 ended around 1977. But it doesn't change a thing, just a slight pilot's error...

  • God rest their souls.

  • Thank God noone on the ground got hurt. An ambulance? For what? That pilot never felt a thing...don't imagine there was much left of him after a collision like that.

  • Ok i agree this is tragic.. but this two guys sat themselves in their planes and they knew every flight could be their last.. in this second hundreds of kids die in Africa and nobody puts a video of this on youtube.. if you watch this stuff be honest to yourself.. u watched this vid because yu are fascinated by seeing people die..

    altough

    RIP Germany

  • I agree with you. I didn't think this indcident was the -most- tragic, it was more like 'Oh...huh...*not surprised* ' I did find it fascinating, but I wouldn't find kids dying by the hundreds fascinating, it'd actually bring me to tears.

Thanks for posting your point of view <3

  • Actually one of them - founder of this group - was going to retire after this year's Radom Air Show. In the interview prior to that, he said that the worst thing was routine.

  • dont listen to the fucking dicks that commented like *rest in pieces* and shit this is sad man R.I.P Oregon, USA

  • R.I.P from London. There are some sick Yanks who are laughing at their deaths on other vids, disgraceful!!!

  • Please don't conclude that a couple of silly pre-teens in my country (USA) are somehow representative of the larger society. It would be the same as saying that your country's soccer hooligans represent the maintstream of British society. Let's all use our brains and disregard childish comments from any nation..
