hi guys! maybe its a lame question but whatever - how did you colorful version of the model? I mean it is usually just gray, but in this movie I see the colored model! ty for the answers :)
@Jonythejet When you use polypaint in zbrush and export the obj the vertex color information is transfered through the mtl format that is created when you save out an obj. When you load that into topogun it can translate the mtl data into color information.
@Jonythejet it needs to have a texture map. Texture maps are 2d picture layed out to be displayed on a 3d model. Create seams on your character this will create a 2d plane so you can color on it called a UV layout. Once you have your UV layout you can import that to gimp or adobe photoshop and color it to create a texture map
@RyanTaylor3D I haven't tried it... I've been meaning to play with it. I've nearly stopped using programs not all ready in my arsenal. Not enough time to create much less learn what buttons do that I all ready have comparable buttons in other programs I know. I'll get around to it eventually but it's not high on the priority list.
I hear you. I need to just stick to what I know. I keep finding myself going off on these new software tangents. If I make a tutorial on it I'll send it your way just so you can get a feel for the program in a few minutes rather than taking a lot of time out to see if you like it.
Ha! I made this song about 6 years ago, Good to hear it again, thanks for using it!
