@unboomer Mexicans aren't the cause of it. There's not one single cause. Illegal immigration, too much regulation on businesses followed by total deregulation of them, Wasteful welfare and defense spending, too much foreign aid, not allocating resources to reducing homelessness/unemployment, poor management of crime, politicians being paid too much, etc. etc. etc. Illegal immigration is a huge problem, and Mexicans make up the majority of that problem, but they themselves are NOT the problem.
The only kind of "reform" Americans want to see is the president and the government doing their job, rounding up and deporting illegal aliens.
But they cannot do it alone. Americans like you and I have to take a firm stand. Do not spend money in businesses which use illegal labor, and tell them why you are going elsewhere. This includes most of those Paki owned corner stores.
I surrender the American Flag to Mexico! There is no stopping them because their population keeps growing and the whites are diminshing. I surrender my country where 5 five generations were born to Mexico.

When people chant in Spanish and wave Spanish language signs, demanding that they be granted residency, without giving a thought to communicating in our nation's language, they have left not an iota of doubt that they do not deserve legal residency in the U.S.
we have illegal immigrants from all over the world and most of them which are here for long time, they are so wrapped up in the American culture and way of life that they became Aliens on their own land. this is natural. take my word !
I think that all illegal immigrant with a good record of good work and able to write and speak english enough to express himself, should be granted with a pass to the path to becoming an American citizen... what do you think ?
I think it is self-defeating to reward people for having successfully violated our laws and that "illegal immigrant with a good record" is an oxymoron.
successfully violated laws? oxymore what ? never heard that !
dear Derailamnsterdon, relax and let things happen. what is your concerns about this matter? no worry man! Nobody is gonna take any place or wherever! America will never be destroyed. at least by immigrants. by the other hand, built by their hands.
Tell me about your ancestral immigrants, who came "legally" to America and never broke the laws and this and that ... 100 years ago !
I don't understand why EVERYONE at this rally were not at the one against the war... They need to wake up and realize that immigration reform just like economic reform... REAL health care reform ALL depend a lot on ENDING the wars and occupations by American soldiers, not just in Iraq and Afghanistan but all around the globe. Our economy is militarized and the strain created eliminates opportunity for progress at home. The strain on the economy also helps fuel xenophobia.
@Unclecookoo It would not be possible to go from New York City to Washington DC two days in a row. And there is no place for us to stay in Washington DC for the night. For the same reason, we could not stay till Monday to participate in the lobbying for immigration reform even though we wanted to. I don't know how you were able to find a place to stay in DC for the night. But all of us from New York could only do one day of protest. I have not met anyone who stay in DC for two days in a row.
Latino's voted Obama in, they say. Well, in 2009 - almost 400,000 deportations. More than ANY year under Bush, who really did try to offer immigration reform. All communites need to work together, behind all of this is corporate greed. KICK them ALL out in November. Talk to your community and find a common ground. It is CLEAR that we are all fighting for our families. That is what they want, while we are busy fighting - they are EXPLOITING us all!!
what rat bastards do you speak of? There were far more American flags and heard USA USA chanted. Your comment makes you seem shallow and it seems you just want to hate them.
Immigrants know better than Americans what American foreign policies do to people in other countries. There is no reason for you to talk about them the way you do. It is very disrespectful of us for you to say that we try to stay in America to do all the US government's bidding. To the contrary, we think the US government is not right on many issues and we have the responsibility to change that in the best way we can, which is to be able to stay in America and have a say in American politics.
@Unclecookoo Most new immigrants that I know, especially the illegal ones, are against the wars. Only those who grew up in Western countries think that it is right to wage these wars. They have been brain washed. We have not.
@dressking That is ridiculous. Most Americans I know are against the wars.. that GREW UP HERE, don't be so self righteous, presumptuous, or arrogant.
I was not debating rather more immigrants are for or against it than Americans. I was questioning your presumption that immigrants from a place like Mexico are any more hip to what is going on in a place like Palestine than Americans. Both places are FULL of FOOLS and full of intelligent people.
@Unclecookoo YOU are ridiculous. If most Americans are against the wars, why do you need us to help you stop it? Why don't you ask your fellow citizens to fight with you? Do you know that we can be deported if we get arrested in an anti-war protest? Why don't you join our fight so that we can take part in anti-war protest without risking being deported?
8 people arrested out of 5-6 thousand and those 8 had to try real hard to get arrested. .. I understand the excuse but when talking about a permitted ANSWER standardized march down the street nobody's getting arrested unless they want to.
@FluxRostrum I have felt the threat of getting arrested in two anti-war protests in NYC in more recent years when immigration crack downs have also been increased dramatically. So I do not take part in anti-war protests any more. In fact, at one point I could have been deported if I did not have a lawyer. Immigrants, and even US citizens, can now be deported without proper cause. You need to pay some attention to this problem and try to fight this also. Senator Robert Menendez is fighting this.
@dressking Because like MOST immigrants MOST Americans, even the ones that are against it are not out trying to stop it. Why do you say US if you want to be Americans? If you want to be AMERICANS than you would help AMERICANS stop the wars that are bringing AMERICA down. I am very supportive of immigration reform and would be more inclined to join that fight if I saw immigrants working for a better America not just one where they can legally stay.
@dressking I was also stating that I think it was sad that so many immigrants were protesting exactly where there were anti-war demonstrations the day before and they (most of them) did not see a protest against the war that is destroying the country they want to become a part of as important enough to attend.
So you want him to post a video showing people expressing their beliefs while at the same time keeping his mouth shut... wow, well on your way to thinking like too many Americans do.
I normally do keep my mouth shut and let the people talk. admittedly at the time I was too pissed of to talk to these people and felt the need to express that.
In fact, when my mother was giving birth to me, the American air force where John McCain was serving was bombing the city where my mother was giving birth to me. But this is precisely why I want to stay here to make sure that the US government refrain from starting wars in other countries.
So were you there the day before or out anywhere the day before protesting those wars? If not and you are here than you are not here to make sure of anything of the sort.
@Unclecookoo I sure did. I have been to the first Iraq war protests many years ago. Honestly, I got tired of it after all these years of protest against the wars. But at least I still have a blog to protest the wars.
hey man , I'm tired too. and after this little fiasco, I don't really give a shit. that weekend has helped me see the light. I wanted to comment on one of your other comments and now can't find it.. but I have been trying to get those lilly white ass ignorant mofos off their damn couches for 9 fn years now and I NO LONGER GIVE A SHIT. it's time for change. not government change. personal change.
Most Americans are anti-war because they believe in peace, not because they have first hand experience of what it is like to live in a war. A lot of immigrants like me have first hand experience of what it is like to live in a war and have lost relatives in a war and have relatives who live in other countries who may still have to suffer from wars. So trust me that new immigrants like us are more anti-war than Americans.
There have been and they find diversions. They would have ignored it much like they did the immigration protest.... Health Care Bill... well at least there was really something else big going on.. I have seen them ignore mass demonstrations by spending more time on fluff stories all to often.
I was in this rally. And I have been to many anti-war rallies as well. I try to stay in the US to make US a better place. Please do not insult us by saying that we only want to get something out of this country, not to make this country a better place. Many new immigrants are anti-war. Not that if we want to become Americans, we want wars. It is in fact the opposite - we do not want wars, so we want to become Americans to stop wars. It is you Americans who need help stopping the wars.
If YOU were there the day before I'm sure he wasn't talking about YOU.. but the "WE" is a simplistic generalization... because if all the people there Sunday wanted to make America a better place it would not have taken too much effort to show up Saturday!!!
part of the reason that immigration reform would make a difference is that it would bring up wages. that is why SEIU is deeply involved in immigration reform.
why are they NOT involved in peace activism? well, let's see if any of the munitions factories are unionized.. therein you may find a clue. but the union has an extremely powerful lobby and the greatest mechanisms in place for broad community organizing.
Unions don't controll the people that attended the Sunday march... they should have been there Saturday... I also think anyone there on Saturday should have gone to the march on Sunday.
"They're okay with brown and/or poor people killing other brown and/or poor people [...] and they just want to be on the winning team."
You obviously don't understand us, so do not make generalizations about us. Personally, I am NOT okay with the unjust war but I had my own reasons to be there Sunday and not on Saturday. Why are you going to have other issues as a priority when, day to day, you don't know if you're going to be deported or not. DO NOT MAKE JUDGMENTS ABOUT LIVES YOU DON"T LIVE
I made no attempt to tell the story of Immigration reform in this video because A) you don't need me, you got all he media, money and people money can buy.
B) there are a hell of a lot of highly skilled minority videographers with their finger on the pulse of this movement and I'm sure they have done a great job of it. C) .. honestly, seeing the crowd, I was just too damn p[issed that not even a fraction of these people could show up to stop wars. and listening to that damn USA USA USA shit ... well the only other time I've that kind of chanting was at the pro war hard right rally's..
If you made no attempt to tell the story of immigration reform in this video, then your only reason of posting it was because you were bitter about the anti-war rally turn out and you decided to attack people who were supporting an issue that basically decides how they are going to live... why not attack the white suburbanites who were sitting on their couches and fighting for nothing but complaining about everything?
WHY attack us? If you have so many problems with the apathy, question America
I agree with him.. the reason why you (if you were there) should be "attacked" is because you were THERE already and couldn't walk out into the streets the day before (or if you were not already there, be there a day early) to stand up against a war that is bringing America down.. if you want to be a part of America, you should also want America to be a just nation, you should want it not to go broke, not to kill and die in distant lands for the very rich that profit from ILLEGAL immigrants.
Also, I too had an issue with the USA chanting. Personally, I won't chant USA until this is a country I can actually be proud to live in, and right now there is too much corruption and injustice for that to happen. However, I can understand it because for many people, the only reason they are here is this is the only way they can survive and feed their families, and they want to be counted as citizens in a nation they work in and support, so they want the rights and dignity to be counted.
Don't fall into that trap.. USA is OURS...the flag is OURS it does not belong to the corrupt people in office. Patriotism is not love of the government, to me it is the recognition of duty towards making your nation better.. that includes eliminating the power of the corrupt over us.
Some people have valid reasons why they were there one day and not the other but I would bet most did not.. they simply didn't care enough about the other issue to attend.
Each day call as many businesses (nail salons, hotels, restaurants, landscaping - ALL! Say -->IMMIGRATION RAID. Will CLEAR out if illegals there & will disrupt the businesses that hire them. Everyday calls, from many people - too scared w/the raids to ignore the calls. They break the law w/fraud, crossing the border, failing to pay taxes - we can make a few "prank calls". START NOW before the RAIDS slow down. AND keep it up.. try to do in the languange of majority of workers!
It is sad to see such ignorance. When will we realize that we are a species, not a color or a country. USA is a corporation not a country the fools are fighting for a ghost. /watch?v=isTt4Zebvh8
another scoop! the majors must be beating down the NOMadjic's screen door by now to get exclusives from MBN, right? Offers to do well funded expense paid special reports too numerous to sift through? ok srry that's not funny.... nice work as usual Flux. Happy Spring.

I understand that this should be a top priority for many hard working people in this country. and I support your cause.

I made no attempt to tell the story of Immigration reform in this video because A) you don't need me, you got all he media, money and people money can buy.
FluxRostrum 1 year ago
B) there are a hell of a lot of highly skilled minority videographers with their finger on the pulse of this movement and I'm sure they have done a great job of it. C) .. honestly, seeing the crowd, I was just too damn p[issed that not even a fraction of these people could show up to stop wars. and listening to that damn USA USA USA shit ... well the only other time I've that kind of chanting was at the pro war hard right rally's..
My commentary is as valid as anyone's.
FluxRostrum 1 year ago
If you made no attempt to tell the story of immigration reform in this video, then your only reason of posting it was because you were bitter about the anti-war rally turn out and you decided to attack people who were supporting an issue that basically decides how they are going to live... why not attack the white suburbanites who were sitting on their couches and fighting for nothing but complaining about everything?
WHY attack us? If you have so many problems with the apathy, question America
cmgooty 1 year ago

However, I can understand it because for many people, the only reason they are here is this is the only way they can survive and feed their families, and they want to be counted as citizens in a nation they work in and support, so they want the rights and dignity to be counted.
cmgooty 1 year ago
Don't fall into that trap.. USA is OURS...the flag is OURS it does not belong to the corrupt people in office. Patriotism is not love of the government, to me it is the recognition of duty towards making your nation better.. that includes eliminating the power of the corrupt over us.
Unclecookoo 1 year ago

Sounds like a few more than the 200 elderly Teabaggers reported protesting the Obamacare bill on Capitol Hill. You guys didn't even rate a mention by the so-called "Liberal Media" pwned by Fascist billionaires.
