  • Glad somebody closed that door!!

  • The Black Key-Junior KImbrough

    The White Stripes-Son House

    Foo Fighters/Nirvana-LeadBelly

    Enjoy :)

  • Anybody who says the Black Keys ripped off Junior should listen to the album where Junior's widow thanks them for doing such a faithful tribute to her late husband. The Black Keys revere old Junior and their music reflects that.

Personally I love their covers and of course their own stuff too.

  • his face says it all. david kimbrough you make my days.

  • ....also known as "hey, close the door!"

  • @bigdreama LOL

  • The Black keys keep coming up on kimbrough /Bunside videos.. WHY ? they are exact opposite musicians . Jr,/R.L are GREAT and The Bk's SUCK ASS !!!

  • @chungazrevenge

because they took inspiration from him and done a whole tribute album

  • @chungazrevenge so true man, these kids cannot see the distinction. Dan from the keys has no right hand attack, the riffs are lame, song does and arrangements go nowhere, just guys in their basements making tapes with great marketing. I tore into a bunch of the commenter on the I got Mine video---i need some help back me up so the kids dont promulgate poorly played music. Everyone of keys songs go downhill. Also, the drums on this track are inconsistent--just saying

  • @tele757 listen to juniors widow track on chulahoma u cocky cock

  • @tele757 It's too bad you don't like the black keys. From the perspecive of what's coming out now I would say they are one of the better bands doing stuff right now. Just a good rock band. I don't know what you are into but if you haven't heard Magic Potion you should give it a listen, Some great riffs on that album.

  • @SchwagmasterJT yeah those riffs really are something, especially when they were first played before auerbach was a twinkle in his daddys jock strap. blues aint gonna survive by being ripped off and covered, its gonna survive through raw emotion and soul. black keys are a glorified rip off band who steal tunes to buy more makers. drink cheaper whiskey and write yer own damn tunes.

  • @pilesofTrife The tunes that the keys "ripped" from Junior were actually in an album called Chulahoma, which was to more or less honor junior; as quoted by wiki "The Black Keys have released an album composed entirely of covers of Junior's music, Chulahoma. Richard Johnston, a Kimbrough protege, keeps this musical tradition alive with one of Junior's sons, via live performances on Beale Street in Memphis."

  • @KiDTRiiPz and also, the Keys have made their own tunes.

  • @pilesofTrife you guys are idiots that album is awesome. also the keys have alot of originals

  • @chungazrevenge listen to the juniors widow track on chulahoma u cocky cock

  • @chungazrevenge & @tele757 Well, hey, you want to know something? Blues is just about dead. Almost all of the popular songs these days are either rap, pop, or REALLY crappy rock (think 30 Seconds to Mars), and most of the great blues musicians are behind us, or old. No, Dan Auerbach isn't B.B. King or SRV (Patrick Carney seems good for a blues drummer, IMO), but they're Blues' last hope. Plus, I usually see 1 or 2 covers for every YouTube song they have, so they may inspire someone truly great.

  • someone either has to 'like' this or 'dislike' this, there are no 'its whatever' option. you 16k+ clowns are tone-deaf

  • probably the greatest video on the internet

  • it's the same joint as in Deep Blues movie?

  • fat possum just had a sale on his vinyl, my girl got them ALL for me for Christmas, I'm marrying this woman.

  • "Oh junior!" "I love you."

  • haha i searched my name on the internet as a joke an this came up! not bad

  • I remedied that situation immediately...

almost done listening to every one of his songs available on youtube. will keep an eye out for records.

Apparently Junior and the gang were supporting large families on their salaries and I would love to buy their music to help their fams out.

  • Close the damn door!

  • Now THAT was a juke joint!!!!!

  • the black keys would not be a band without this guy existing

  • reminds me of the blues club in the "crossroads" movie , ahh i wish i could of been there

  • close the DAMN DOOR!!

  • Holy cow! I can't believe these videos exist. Thanks so much for posting, you've made my day. :-)

  • wow.

  • Any fan of The Black Keys who hasn't listened to Junior Kimbrough needs to remedy that situation immediately.

  • @ClintT13 Any fan of The Black Keys and Junior Kimbrough who hasn't listented to North Mississippi Allstars needs to remedy that situation immediately.

  • @tess55 We must have similar taste. I've seen North Mississippi Allstars in person several times. Great band. The drummer brings the house down with his electric washboard solo every time.

  • @ClintT13 - True statement. Start with the "Chulahoma" album and continue from there.

  • @ClintT13 - True statement! Go to Fat Possum records to get all your "Junior" stuff.

  • @ClintT13 Chulahoma!

  • @ClintT13 YES sir- you are spot on, because Chulahoma was a tribute to Junior Kimbrough. At the end of the Album there was a little snippet of a voicemail that Juniors wife left for the Black Keys and how they made her proud and did Junior justice.

  • Why cant i find some live music like this in Detroit. I swear, If i hear one more shity S.R.V. cover song in a "Blues bar", i'll choke someone. Junior is the real deal!

  • Close that door!!!

  • This is like a 'holy grail' for me.

  • I believe the drummer is RL Burnside's son-in-law and father to Cedric Burnside.

  • This is raw`!

  • Yeah! This is truly beautiful & PRICELESS!!!
