  • amazing

  • Awesome! what a great performance.

  • One of my favourites.

  • I met them after they played this song.. November 2002.. they were wonderful men and brilliant musicians.. I felt so lucky to be there with all those people at the State Theater in Detroit.. it was spiritual.

  • goddamn CHILLS

  • thank u Iceland for giving birth to this piece of heaven i call Sigur Ros..

  • They don't make music.. They make art. I'm 16 and I just wish that at least ONE of my friends I would be able to share this music with without getting reactions of confusion and agnst.. They try and show me whats in the charts and I just can't take it seriously.. No emotion just sex, money and gad-damn drugs.. This is real emotion.. real music.....

  • This is, the most perfect expression of sadness mixed with anger that I can imagine, I have heard this many times and it never gets less powerful. Just . . . wow.

  • Jaw on the floor

  • This is ear candy to the extreme. I get diabetes just listening to this! In a good way xD

I'd sooo love to watch (hear?) them live and plan to on their next tour. My only fear is that they don't play this and their new stuff doesn't float my boat like this^, Staralfur, Festival, Glosoli, Hoppipolla, Untitled #1 and Untitled #4, amongst many other great songs. I'd be destroyed!

  • @andyparker1982 yeah i've heard they've done their last tour. not sure if they will ever tour together again :'(

  • @akahamlet I don't know about future tours, but I do know they plan on releasing a new album early next year. I cant wait!

  • @GoSingTooLoud Awesome - thanks for letting me know! How exciting!

  • My gosh, I don't even know what to make of this. It must be breathtaking and mindblowing to watch live. However, I've always had this thought - listening to their music has always been a very personal thing for me, so I wonder how it'll feel like watching them with so many other people? Anyone who has seen them can share your thoughts? Well I do hope I get to see them one day, best of all in Iceland. Cheers!

  • @neonsquashtiger If you have the opportunity to see them live, you must do it! It is a transformational experience. And even though I saw them at a pretty large venue, if felt very intimate. No other concert I have been to before or since has come close.

  • @norcalgirl83 I have seen Jonsi live, and even though that was a mind blowing experience, I would so love to see Sigu Ros, hopefully one day, if they ever tour again.

  • Seeing this live... Best thing in my life.

  • o baterista a partir a loiça toda :D

  • Sooooooooo grateful that I've seen Sigur Ros as many times as I have. Every trip to every state has been worth it.

  • Sigur Ros is the sound of heaven, the universe and a pure heart.

If you like "Untitled 8", you will also like this one...

  • As soon as my flight leaving Keflavík after two weeks in Iceland took off, I put on this song and cried.

    Ísland, ég mun koma aftur.

  • fantastic

  • this song moves me like nothing i've ever heard before. i am so grateful to have seen this live. i love you sigur ros

  • I'm moving to iceland where all the old ladies and little kids listen to postrock. Who's coming with me?

  • @Revelatus I follow you !

  • @Revelatus Dude, take me with you n.n

  • I think he's excited @5:04

  • An inexorable call to arms. Music to start a revolution by

  • There's epic, there's grandeur and then there's Sigur Ros.

  • haunted

  • okay. i need to see them live before i die.

  • That drummer can't be human...

  • what kind of effect jonsi uses in this song? haha i love how it sounds on the last 3 minutes

  • <3

  • favorite Sigur Ros song ever! They played this last when I saw them live and it was mesmerizing! Couldn't get enough

  • this one gives me chills =) LIKE!

  • good lord, gotta see them live.

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • If those wet "I'm in a band" college boys were to play like these guys they'd be wishing for pussy to back up off them.

  • The way they connect themselves to their music, and the way they make everyone else connect as well... is simply mesmerizing. They create music for the sake of creating it, because they need to do it, because they can't live doing anything else. And that is what makes them stand out, that is what makes them so special. The world just becomes flawless, or at least beautifully flawed when listening to them. This is a true, timeless masterpiece.

  • trippiest Sigur Rós song ever!!!! This is a true EarGasm!!! Love Love love!!!!! <3

  • That drummer is screaming. Haah

  • Lol, what's all this talk of metal?

Metal is on such a lower level than Sigur Rós it's not even funny.

  • @rrpauldoran It depends on what you call metal. There are many brilliant metal bands. No, I don't mean Motörhead.

  • I would give my nuts to see this live

  • The first time I heard this song, I felt like I was remembering it from another lifetime. Sonic De Ja Vue if you will.

  • Thats the best ending for a concert i have ever seen in my life!

  • This is so devastatingly beautiful

  • Caring about what someone likes for music is like caring about their religion. Who cares and if you do... stop being a meddler/bigot and just enjoy your own personal experiance in life... :D and PS i love metal too but sigur ros is my favorite.

  • Todo mundo entende em silêncio (sabem que foram separados em dois rebanhos, para o gosto sangrento dos donos de crenças).

  • This is a similar experience to Jonsi's Grow Till Tall, but I find this a lot more powerful!

  • effen fantastic!!!

  • This is definitely my favorite song, Sigur Ros or otherwise. A masterful end to an amazing movie! It just doesn't get any better than this.

  • THAT is what you call a climax

  • who the f*** does not like this?

  • @smartmusicman00 I agree, but let's just be thankful that they're not trolling.

  • @smartmusicman00 8 heavey metal fans

  • @TheJoshcash1008 8 typical heavy metal fans, because I'm a heavy metal fan, but I am also a post-rock fan as well and a fan of everything in between. I guess you can say I'm just a music fan. Now don't get me wrong, there are songs that I don't like but that is based on musicality.

  • every mournful thought and every heartache depicted beautifuly!!!

  • every mournful thought and every heartache depicted beautifuly!!!

  • That drummer is an absolute machine!

  • D: Being a part of a group like Sigur Ros I would imagine to be an incredible feeling...

  • powerful song

  • probably the best song from definately their best album

  • get into the groveeee......and feel the atmosphere

  • This video wasn't deleted?

  • simply AMAZING!!...

    Zoe.-

  • Superb Audio Quality

  • I have watched this more times than I can remember and it is still the most powerful performance I have ever seen.

  • I just orgasmed

  • I would totally be gay and half-blind to be able to make music like this.

  • @dankash at the end of the day, no one cares about those guys like they care about sigur ros

  • @dankash chill man... orri isn't the best but you just gotta love him in this song.

  • It is a drum that can make you feel something more than hate or angry!! Just that, you miss understood him, and I think that darkside and me don`t like hate...

    THX

  • I haven't listened to this band is a very long time....but man it still gives me chills. It's amazing how nostalgic music can evoke such strong emotions and really take you back to certain moments.

  • @dankash you are so cool. you bet you know how to love

  • This is MAGIC...

  • If someone would force me to choose only two songs that i can listen to for the rest of my life i'd choose this song twice.

  • This song makes me cry every time. Devastatingly beautiful.

  • Song makes my skin creep. Every single time.

  • Just can't get enough of this band - they can tear your fucking heart out. The most amazing song of a whole sackful of bloody amazing songs.

  • THIS IS ART

  • i wish i got into these guys earlier :(

  • I know ppl that was at this concert - I do envy them.

Hopefully we can enjoy more from Sigur Ròs soon.

    Best ending ever!

  • dangerous music

  • This is dangerous music

  • along with Light of day, Day of Darkness, the best song ever.

  • my ears came..

  • acoustic orgasm&#65279

  • this ending is so epic! This blows me away with every listen! Never heard something like that! Words can't describe what feelings come up with this, but I think all of you know what feelings this are..!

Sigur Ros is THE band of the century..!

well, hope you don't see this as a spam, but I thought this might interest some of you..

I found a band on youtube called "Nycalgia"

You should lsiten to their song "Lost in timeless horizons"

Breathtaking, beautiful song by this extremely young guy..

  • Pure Bliss, nobody comes close to Sigur Ros

  • This makes my eyes go @.@ and my ears go =D

  • This is beauty in it's rawest form. Words can describe how this song (and this band) makes me feel, but what they can't tell you is how it has affected me. This band's music changed my life and my understanding of what and how music is supposed to make one feel and think. Yes, this is what's right with the human condition.

  • Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

  • @Extolment

    hahaha, :D Good, isn't it? :D

  • I think the world should end with this song

  • acoustic orgasm

  • Best live performance all time in music history!!!!

  • from 0:00 to 1:50 foreplay, 1:51 to 9:00 Sex 9:00 to 10:12 Orgasm

  • this is art. i like this band (especially agaetis byrjiun and () )

  • @BenniMuzak and Von !!!! (in my opinion the best) :)

  • Goes right through you and just takes you away :)

  • Such a living changing performance.

3 mins onwards is like a message from God saying "look at what you people can do."

  • @AdmRalfie *live changing

  • This song for me is the best ending of an albun in the history of music.

  • Would do anything to see them live.

  • ITS SO GOOD!

  • KIPPEVEL...................TAKK

  • Future wife at 3:27

  • What's so awesome about them is that their art needs a lot of patience, the song starts out normally (which by Sigur Ros standards is still beyond this world!) and then it builds up so slowly, and it thrills you, and your heart beats and then the song climaxes and you're left sitting there, mind-blown, smiling having had one hell of a trip.

    Chapeau bas, Sigur Ros!

  • Can't wait to see them in texas with 3 doors down!

  • Absolutely brilliant performance. Thanks God I'm not epileptic though =)

  • This is just the beginning from Sigur Ros. They're phenemenon. Best band in the century ever! You're the God in our music industry.

  • Lol, great song, good drumming, good all round music!

  • The last 12 minutes or so of Heima is what made me fall in love with this song, and this song is what made me fall in love with this band. I listened to them for a long time before I really started to appreciate their passion; which this song displays greatly.

  • an incredible song that they have absolutely perfected live. does anyone know if the live version is available on cd anywhere?

  • awesome....let it build slowly...

  • u love them,or u hate them

  • dudeee....

  • the most intense song of sigur ros..wonderful!

  • Sigur Ros make music go to another level. They sing Nature, they sing Human kind. Favourite Band. Greatings from Portugal.

  • I remember being so enthralled in this song when I watched the dvd for the first time, when the wall of feedback cut to silence I actually jumped. stunning

  • In the beginning, isn't Jónsi using the bow backwards?

  • Lol, no. Finger-picking a single note to reverb/loop for a bit while he bows.

  • One night while bored I surfed the cable channels for something and came across Heima. I think it was IFC. What a find! What a film! What a band! These people make music that is dear to my heart. How had I not heard of them all of these years? I was stunned and happy to have been made aware of them. Thanks so much to all involved...

  • I did the same thing!

  • Very, very intense.

    Love it.

  • this is the best thing i've heard in my life!

    cheers from croatia! :)

  • 7:04 overwhelming

  • From 01:49 to 05:11 sounds like a long chase scene; the good guy trying to catch the villain, or something.

Love the live versions a little better.

  • unreal

  • From 7:04 onwards, Sigur Ros' drummer is the best drummer in the entire world ever.

    Sigur Ros are incredible.

  • @Thom2509 Agreed. Never seen or heard anything like it. There's something so organic and natural and yet otherworldly and unreal about it. This was the performance that convinced me of his talent.

  • @Thom2509 Powerful yes, but it's because of everything else that's going on. Sigur ros has amazing chemistry, that's what makes them so incredible. The drumming however is nowhere near the best..although he's very talented...not trying to discredit at all.

  • first time i saw this the emotions that welled in me were almost too much to bare...

i thought i was going to burst

i love this band so much

  • This song is so fucking intense! Really, some of the best pieces of music I've hear until now...!

    THe light show is incredible...

SIgur Ros is definitely the band of the century!

well..don't notice this as a spam..I just thought this might interest some of you who are always looking for new good bands..I found a band on youtube called "Nyctalgia".

If you've got enough time, listen to their song "Falling into nothingness"

breathtaking song by this extremly young newcomer..

  • >an awesome conclusion to an album we didn't want to end

    best words ever

  • an awesome conclusion to an album we didn't want to end

  • What about the girl on 3:26?? very cute.

These guys are inspired and inspiring

  • I lost my v card to this song, it is my fav thing. not just song, my favorite thing in this world.

  • Incredible when you think this whole album was recorded with a made up language! (Hopelandic)

Lol ive spent years thinking it was icelandic :)

  • Puts his bow down, Amiina goes away, curtain closes.. Shit Bricks.

  • @Thegibbo123 Right?

This song is the pith of emotion.

  • Anyone noticed the slipknot?

  • the most intense piece of music ever recorded

  • Does anyone know where I can get an mp3 of this ?

  • theresa free one on the wikipedia entry for this song...its not the live version though
