  • I guess the "Americans" are white because my parents are WAY closer to being Nigerian (except for the left hand thing).

  • Comment removed

  • That's how we Africans are raised. At the end , it's for our benefit. A white parent beats their child like that, that's considered "child abuse " and call 911 on them. Try to call 911 on ur African parent lmao. We have no psychological problem because we were raised like this

  • i do not see any thing wrong by you greeting ur parents in the morning. please lets be respectful especially to our elders.

  • i hope u meant white americans.....sorry white ppl....cause none of this shit happens in a black american house hold trust me i know......my dads nigerian and my moms is from east texas

  • @bigoak91 Sometimes things like this does happen in Black American houses too. Thats how lots of black kids walk around with stank/rude attitude.

  • lmao perfect

  • LMAO I love your American imitation

  • Lol I will break your head.......

  • Ok, i'm about to check my mothers birth certificate because she may be Nigerian! Lol :)

  • Just another story my friend's daughter and pals wee playing in the bedroom underneath the covers and she lined them up outside the bathroom and one by one they each had to go in the bathroom for a serious beating, at the same time the ones outside would hear the screams from the kid before them in the bathroom imagine what was going thru theirs lol It only makes us stronger lol

  • I don't know which American families you have been looking at but I would get beatings just for having an extra glass of coke when I shouldn't have. My mama would ask my big bro to hold me down while I got a beatings even at the age of 14. You must have researched white families as that's not how my mama rolled. Funny video tho

  • I just love the way "the mom" goes, listen KARFULLY plus just her facial expressions when "the daughter" hands her the salt and her report card. I fell over laughing

  • my parents would beat my ass if i ever acted like that.. so not all white parents are like that.. lol

  • your video should be called WHITE american parents vs. nigerian parents, cause that is not how it goes down in Black folks house

  • The Black household will definitely vary.

  • My mother's side of the family must be from Nigeria. If she stays up late waiting for you two thing will be on the table, the Bible open to a scripture and the FAT Granddaddy Belt.

    They both shall be used.

  • I wish my black American parents were this nice...my father beat the mess out of me. Shoot, once my parents even double team me when I had juked my mom and hid under the bed, nothing nice, lol.

  • This is sooo true!! My dad is Nigerian and acts just like that!!! My aunt use to always get onto me for not "greeting" her. Wtf

  • Im assuming the American family was white. There is no way in hell i could talk to my mom like that and get away with it. idk who black american families that it happens like that. pretty much howthe nigerian family was, is how black american family is.

  • um maybe for white american parents but certainly not black parents. my father is nigerian and my mother is african american... i WISH i would tell her to the eff up or even just the wrd shut up

  • yeah..the american parts are more like white americans..cuz my mom damn sho'll wouldn't put up with me being disrespectful..pffft

  • The Nigerian parts are soooooo true but the american parts are more like white parents not black parents

  • I grew up in a Nigerian (Father) and African American (Mom) household so I FULLY UNDERSTAND! FULLY! HOW IT IS TO HAVE A NIGERIAN FATHER!

  • It should be American household Vs Foreign household, cuz I am from the Islands and we can only drink when we are out of the house and with our friends and not going back to our parents house till the next day

  • I ment are like that also

  • Africa American parents I like that also

  • Comment removed

  • why can't you pass things with your left hand?? lol

i can relate to some of this btw growing up in a haitian household. it's a different world

  • @jaysicka06 i really dnt knw but its been like a norm nd pa of d culture dat u dnt pass things or collect with d left else u wi; b gettin a slap

  • lol this video still cracks me up and your naija accents are hilarious...i highly doubt a nigerian child would say shut up mum and survive to tell the story..lol..please watch funny nigerian kids by TheAngelChidi..it will so make your day..it did mine

  • lmfaoo(: i want to make a video like this but i know i cant keep a straight face because of the accentd

  • STORY OF MY LIFE. Nigeria all day though :) <3

  • You gotta love being Nigerian though.

  • so which do you prefer, the American home up-bringing or Nigerian?

  • @chidiOkey is that a trick question?

  • @TiwaOyin xD

  • this is typical african lol

  • SOOO TRUE!!! The oppression must end! You Americans got it so easy...

  • 'if you dont greet me properly i will BREAK YOUR HEAD' that line had me rolling, had to pause the video

  • yess ooh preach u guys are hilarious

  • exactly like my typical nigerian parents

  • NAIJA! hahaha :L

  • *our

  • lol, literally! Most of are parents are like this, lol. The morning greeting was the best, and the one I fail to do and get in trouble for most often. Hilarious!

  • this was amazing. loved it

  • funny lol...but your accents weren't the best...but good job coming out and making a video though

  • Ugly I rather marry a north african nigerians are becoming the Mexicans of africa

  • ohhh thxs for reminding me about handin them somthing because i gotta a beating last nite

  • Im nigerian and u guys had tht spot on except tht curfew thing cuz I dnt go out cuz im young, but evrthing else so true

I remember when i was little, If i EVER ate egusi soup with my left hand.... xD

  • ahahhahahahhahahah xD

  • Comment removed

  • haha all of those r true lol. once i told my dad to be quiet and umm it didnt turn out too well lol. oh and yoruba all the way!!!!!

  • i love this video! you guys did a good job with the accents and everything

  • you guys need to work on ur accents..

  • you guys hit the nail on the head lol...

  • That greeting shit get on my fucking nerves i swear to god.

  • Whats da name of da song at da end?

  • Not every typical american home. I raise my family as a loving mother who only wants the best for her children. With discipline and love. And some Nigerian families arent like this as well, as you depict in your videos. Thieves, rapist, as well as majority of con artists come from there. So what about their parents? You cant generalize on american families being how you show in your video.

  • @XXMisty50xx as majority of con artists come from there?

In italy we call people like you "puttàna" in your country you say "whores".

    Con artists and rapists eh?

Im' tired of disgusting people like you talking crap about us!

Have you ever been to nigeria?

Im nigerian but im also a GOOD PERSON,fyi.

If like us good but if you don't FUCKING STAY AWAY FROM OUYR VIDEOS!

    CREPA STRONZA!

  • i remeber the last time i went to nigeria i hated having to give/take things with my right hand because im left handed. its like im playing hot potato with myself.

  • love it! nigeria all the way!

  • oh God.... 3:45 oh my God..........

  • this is a lie im African American in i would not dear talk back to my mom cuz she is my queen in if i did she would knock the shit outt of me so no your facts ..

  • and all of you people saying that that is not how an actual American household is are in denial. Maybe a little exagerrated but that's how most american households are. I grew up around a lot of white people, I know. and sure some black-american households are stricter but not really. i also knew black-americans and there life seemed like a breeze compared to mine. most black-americans are more lenient, for ex. when it comes to dating, etc.

  • this was hilarious lmao but i disagree with the left-handed sketch, i'm left handed and i never got in trouble for being one...

  • Stacy Timothy i must say this video had me to weak, but the way they portrayed the american mom is not always true. some american moms dont be playing. but the nigerian mom is 90% accurate. lmfaaoo but it was funny.!

  • Igbos are the best looking of all the Nigerian tribes, hands down. Y'all agree?

  • @iMakeitHail i agree!

  • @iMakeitHail yes! igbo kwenu!

  • @iMakeitHail yup, this video is very true

  • @iMakeitHail lailai, I disagree, what about the fulanis? those people are handsome and beautiful. Ibos are a mix, just like the Yorubas

  • Comment removed

  • i think the typycal american home was exaggerated in some parts but yall have the nigerian rues down lol

  • hahahaahaha that guy behind is lol lmao... gosh!

  • im african american and if i did half the stuff you were doing to show an example of the "typical american family" i would have got my ass beat! my parents dont play that so your example is so off...no offense..

  • The so called "typical American family" sounds like BS. I would not get away with any of those things you displayed and I'm American. I can't curse, talk back, talk smack, raise my voice, get bad grades and I have a curfew :(

This sounds like a joke but I can't speak for everyone just don't generalize because it insults Black Americans who grew up in decent homes.

  • Am cracking up with laughter but you know what? it make our children a better adult and those who dont listen end up messed up. And if you are Nigerian kid born abroad there is no room for failure. Because we want you to be better than us

  • hahahahahhahahahahah

  • " simple 123 u cant get that!!?!?! " lmfao!

  • lmao

  • LOOOOL Naija!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i don't know if this is true to all parents -- but as for me as father, i would be uneasy knowing that my kids are still out of home at late hours. kids don't know what they feelings of parents because they are not parents...we worry a lot as parents for the safety of their kids and kids should know that...

  • thats exactly how it is here in california!

  • lmao this was just like my dad hahahaha african. I want to do a video on my dad him just yelling is funny. All africans are like that i swear lol

  • Lool

    This is FUnny

Buh Love ur nigerian accent sucks lol

    Cute!:P

  • @F2daO thanks! lol yeah i messed it up big time

  • I think I've seen one of you before... Are you from Arochukwu?

  • @Kenx95 no im not...

  • the girl that acts mom on dis video cracks me up...too funny keep it up...lmfyo

  • YOOOOOOOOOOO AFRICAN PARENTS IN GENERAL ARE CRAZY.. BUT THIS VIDEO IS HALRIOUS LOL

  • lls dis is tru n funny but yall gotta make it more realistic n u guys r beautiful too...... plus i will make u drink ur blood lls

  • my sweetie my sugar my honey my .......... but it is still awesome being a nigerian

  • Am a nigerian in England, same over here too u dont mess with the nigerian parents .

  • lmao! my mom behaves almost exactly! cant stop laughing!

  • i never even tell my senior sister sister 2 shut up not 2 talk of my mom, she will just kill me no doubt about it

  • HAHAHA , This is so True not only Nigerian but African parents. African parents do not mess with kids. American parents want to be their kids best friend instead of the parent.

  • Omg this is the story of my life lol

  • Arbor Mist tho? I was laughing so hard.

  • LOL 3:19 is the best part ahahaha i love it

  • the reason you never use your left hand like that is cuz they use it to wipe themselves after crapping cuz they dont have toilet paper. true story.

  • This's so true. :)

  • I disagree, don't receive or give with ur left hand. it's disrespectful

  • lmaooooooo ! soo truee ! ♥

  • lmao,, hilarious .. now idk what part of the country you live in but my doctor's last name is nwankwo, she is nigerian and i know she has kids.. lol sooo

  • You guys killed it. Thumbs up!!!!!!!

  • HA. Y'all are sooo right.

  • Actually the "American" household being depicted is how "White" Americans relate to their children. African-American households are very different, I'm laughing at the Nigerian skits, somehow throughout the the centuries our African people at least held on to some cultural behavior, because African American parents behave the same as Nigerian parents.

  • not just nigerian. im black, and my parents are exactly the same way, without the african accent

  • i will break your neck!

  • @amisatu412 lol head*

  • @amisatu412 hahha omg you want to drink you want to drink come here i will make you drink your own blood

  • Lol...this really cracked me up! I sure miss Naija and my awesome parents...

Btw...You guys should also check out this really lovely song by Adaeze....

    youtube.com/watch?v=tfgNljsmAdw

  • @Mzoknow funny..my name is Adaeze

  • Accurate depiction of the Nigerian home. We parents promise to do better, just don't bring any 'c' grade home from school or you'll be six feet under. lol.

  • LOL, The left hand thing, the greeting thing all of it is right on, and who ever said that this is child abuse. We were punished for doing wrong or not well enough but it made us better, stronger and smarter people. We love our parents for that. I got 2 answers wrong in my maths test and slipped from first place to third and with my dad being a math teacher, i got a talking to and a scold saying i could do better. My white friends got lower and their parents are like GREAT WORK to them. LOL

  • LOL U guy have complete right. But u can't do anythin but love em'. lilmama071 should stop hatin u never know these guys could be yoruba or have yoruba parents just they spent their life times in the states, like i've be in australia for 13 years if u heard me talk u wouldn't think i was yoruba. Great Work guy hilarious

  • @lilmama071 make your own video. do it better

  • @lilmama071 fyi it has nothing to do with there race its simply that there nigerian-americans okay...i cud say that my culture can do thing better than urs too hunn...#TeamNoRudeness

  • @lilmama071 i mean tribe

  • The worsttttttttt video ever

  • so so true mehn..lol

  • hahahha u can't speak naija english

  • lol i love it hahah this is amazing :) nice work

  • Very funny stuff!!!!!!!Loved it. Ma Ma should have her own show!

  • You don't know how much the greeting one, and the report card one show up in our house. My parents threatened to send me to BOARDING SCHOOL in Nigeria because I got a B+ in math. And then once in the morning, I didn't say hi to my dad, and I almost slept outside... in the winter. Thanks for helping my parents understand what they really look like!!!! :)

  • You guys r funny!!! Keep the videos coming!

  • Aaahhh being Nigerian is awesome. The left hand thing...perfect

  • "god chomo! god chomo!" hahaha lol

  • YALLL ARE CRAZY BUT THIS IS SOOO TRUE! Always greet ur elders and no left hands..."do my eyes trick me?!!! " lol

Hey you all did sooo good! my brothers and sisters!***

  • hmmm @aixICHIBAN

    ya'll aren't igbo are yall?

yeaa me and my cousin definitelyy 'gon have to redo this vid k(:

  • @badbrizzle323 we're nigerian-american. and go for it lol

  • @aixICHIBAN but what type of nigerian? lol this is funny but yea the accents :P funny tho

  • @aixICHIBAN we are all africans in america.....

  • @badbrizzle323 lol no hate...but ME and MY cousins should remake this...we the best..hands down

  • lmao this is soo true. I came to the u.s. when i was really young and since my parents were both born and raised in naija they did not spare the rod. growing up i hated beatings and even saw them as abuse...but now i am thankful for the sterness because it helped make me into the person i am today. haha my mom still gets mad when i come home late...almost got back handed a couple days ago.

  • Wale got our backs tho!

    lol :)

  • @Chimier,Sorry if I sounded cynical&bitter!I do see all Africans(African born,African America,African Carribean etc..)as one people and get defensive if any part of us is touched!I do love and appreciate you all.I am proud of Nigerians' achievements in US as well!I am not a Nigerian!

  • I enjoyed the highly dramatic comedic contrast....some great lessons to be learned by some of today's American youth. Nice!

  • seem-pul 1-2-3 lmao

  • terrible naija accent....but oh so funny n TRUE!

  • @sguardian870,U know that whenUcant take it anymore Uhave a 2nd country!Even mixed-race kids're aware of this priviledges! The owner of kids'clothes chain"Tuff-N-Ruff"Nigerian Dad&British mom! When she couldn't take racism inEurope any more she went to Nigeria, married aNigeran built her company&refuses to associate herself withanythingEuropean. She had that choice like U&I!The only way that we can survive is to form strong bond! All A.Am,Afri-Carribeans etc.direct African Nationality when requested!

  • @sguardian870,When a person is subjected to contant physical abuse, they undergo neurological changes&biochemical inbalances which lead to unexplainable psychological trauma.Trauma kids receive treatment for yrs,No A.A received help after 350yrs of abuse!Africans went thru similar experience under colonization but strong family units helped cushioned the blow!Compare the crime rate in S.Africa to the rest of the continent! As African born American U have the security of Ur 2nd African country!

  • @Beesahili hate to interject but none of us were ever subjected to "constant physical abuse" we all turned out successful and respectful members of society and its because of our upbringing. my parents are amazing people. this is just comedy. it means nothing. settle down

  • @Beesahili OK, you are taking this WAAAAY too seriously! This video is a joke..comedy...not that serious. Nigerian parents just expect the best for us, their children, and their way of upbringing is different to that of Americans and such, but in no way are they abusing us. Abuse results in constant aggression, whether physical, mental, or emotional, towards another for NO valid reason! That is not the situation for African parents or for any kind of parents in general.

  • lol i will break ur head haha...its true

  • this is really good guys cant but keep laughing. thumbs up!!!

  • "u want to drink? i'll make u drink your own blood!"...lmao! yall aint neva lied..

  • hahahahhahhah this is sooo funny.....sound just like my house.

  • U GUYS ARE INCREDIBLY HILARIOUS I LOVE YOU ALL FUNNY FUNNY! IM IGBO TO SO I DEFINITELY UNDERSTAND BTW CHECK OUT SOME OF MY VIDEOS!

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Lol you people crase you wan kill me with laughter haha . I need it though thanks lol

  • That was stereotypical! Most africans(I mean Africans fr
