Okay... DC won American Idol, but DA got the same recording opportunities as DC! DC is ahead of DA in album sales numbers (DC hit platinum in January! as opposed to DA's 700,000ish by the end of April.)

But then again, I am a Word Nerd and I will freely acknowledge that DA's single "Crush" sold much better than DC's "Light On" (which I think frankly, was a flop...even though I love the song.)

DC and DA are two totally different musicians and people. Give up the comparisons.

Sorry, but I don't think it is fair to compare Crush to TOML. Archie recorded & released his choice. DC had to release the winners song (nowhere near his true style) which may or may not even make it onto his album. Hold judgement until they are on a level playing field when Cookie's first true single drops. Both guys are super talented, but DC won and it is time to accept it. Since I prefer DC's style,I voted on 3 phones and my computer for 4 hours solid and multitudes of others did the same.

How do you compare Downloads with actual record sales? The final vote was not close,which made the voting bogus. Going into the finale they were neck and neck. DA delivers a "knockout" and then loses by 12 million votes. Did DA's legion of fans abandon him at crunch time after supporting him like rapid animals all year. DA WAS AI7 His performances on finale night should have made him WIN by 12 million. WTF happened, and why? Total scam. DA deserved the title he earned, and was robbed of it.

Yes,Your right about that.David Archuleta did a much better performance & did a thousand times better on the finale that night on American Idol,season 7.I don't think that it was fair & not right that David Archuleta lost.David Archuleta did way much better job,that's for sure.Zebrina

What--close vote? Please--nobody else in the past had such a spread difference. Ruben versus Clay was "close" and statistically a tie. However, will agree that David Cook won the hearts of America - and the sales - can't dispute that either. Downloads and radio play is everything. Yes, only the Beatles in the 60s had more 40 years ago.
