1. Timing starts to get majorly screwed up at 0:47 when the strings come in. Maybe try to change the tempo of the strings, or (as I would do) cut them out.

2. Why is half the song a capella?

3. The piano or bells or whatever your using at the beginning and between 0:56 and 1:13 are very annoying, so cut those.

4. You need more Bass on a Jay song, not these annoying high dings that play for the first half. The Beat ultimately sounded more jazz-ish or blues-ish, not the rap that Jay-z's known for.

@DGLmatt7 well the vocals are off-beat and the mood of the loops clash with Jay Z's content. Had the vocals been on beat, the rhythm of the drum loop wouldn't have been consistent with the rhythm of Jay Z's delivery as they are more rigid and Jay Z recorded the original to a beat with a lot of swing. Hope that's at least somewhat constructive.
