As someone who works in the nuclear field and the power generation aspects of our country, I can say that your statements are bogus. What stands in the way of nuclear plants right now is the cost of the initial build and the red tape associated with misinformed public opinion. They do generate waste, however (albeit a tiny fraction of the crap that comes out of a fossil plant). What stands in the way of hydro, wind, solar, are efficiencies and transmission.

For instance, he repeats the "now classic" line that the world has been cooling down. Since 1998, the world has been indeed cooling down, but that's a RIDICULOUS use of statistical fluctuations (1998 was El Nino). No one that can read a graph can look at the temperature charts and say the world as been cooling down. Impossible or deeply dishonest. Do not trust this man.

Since there is no information about his stand today it would be ridiculous to assume that his stands on the problem (that isn't even considered is a problem anymore) are the same as in 1969.
But this doesn't even matter because in HTWW's Video his views are presented UNRELATED to the issue of overpopulation which makes Holdren look like Ivan the Terrible. A classical misrepresentation.

Well of course Al Gore wants Cap and Trade to pass...but why is it that when confronted by scientists to debate the whole theory of....wait what is it Climate Change now...he turns them down and wont debate? Ask yourself: If Cap and Trade were to pass, first of all many people would lose their jobs (unem. rate now is about 15%) and it would create many financial issues while cutting a ridiculously small amount of greenhouse gasses. Try asking China or India to do the same...hahahahaha

I have a legitimate question for you HTWW. If you were ever to come out with your religious view and/or political affiliation do you think your viewer count would reflect it?
I agree with much of what you say, but if you were to say such as "I'm an atheist and a libertarian" or "I'm a Muslim and a stateless society follower" do you think your count would dwindle though your message was the same? Sadly I think it would.

well said as usual and i see the opponents are here spewing forth their pseudo facts and lefty talking points...do we need to work on alternative feues? yep... i'm for anything cleaner and more efficient...but we have oil and know how to use it well and it should remain in use till the alternatives are truly ready to roll...ethanol and biodiesel are good places to start but both currently need to use fossil fuels to produce and have a tremendous amount of waste...

You know I love sci-fi but the fact is that we have no workable, real alternatives that can replace coal and fossil fuels. The same idiots that want to eliminate coal and fossil fuels stand in the way of nuclear, hydroelectric, and even wind power options. We are supposed to tax coal plants out of existence and then replace them with nothing. This cannot work boys and girls.
There are no magic power generators. You are not making a better world with your idiocy.

As someone who works in the nuclear field and the power generation aspects of our country, I can say that your statements are bogus. What stands in the way of nuclear plants right now is the cost of the initial build and the red tape associated with misinformed public opinion. They do generate waste, however (albeit a tiny fraction of the crap that comes out of a fossil plant). What stands in the way of hydro, wind, solar, are efficiencies and transmission.

I am in favor on increased Nuclear power generation. We have to have something if we are too scared by algore to run a coal plant. The problem is that EVERY means of power generation is blocked by some enviro-nazi movement.

I won't say you're wrong about Obama's policies not working, but G.W.'s first six months the economy would've still been riding a bit based on the Clinton economy bubble. After 8 years though if Obama's policies bring the US from a surplus to a to record deficit I'll concede that he was equally as bad as G.W.

That's if all of the new power plants we build are fossil plants AND nothing is done to curb CO2 emissions from existing plants.
