One often forgets to reflect upon the spirituality and solemnity of sacred places when taking in these beautiful and historic locations. Again, thanks for your comment.
Nice photography. Please be advised that the crucifix which spoke to St. Francis was not in San Damiano. The small church he rebuilt is called Portiuncula and is now located in Our Lady of the Angels in Santa Maria degli Angeli which is not far from Assisi. In regards to not having signs indicating that photography is not allow, one should note that in nearly all holy places photography is not allowed. Signs would only take away from the spirituality of the abbey.
