  • But what greater honor for a student having a teacher on the scale of Alfred Brendel. For me, one of the most notable and influential pianists of the twentieth century, and undoubtedly one of the best (or best) interpreter of Beethoven, Schumann, Schubert and Liszt. Sangyoung Kim is very lucky, so congratulations to her ... Of course a great greeting to my favorite pianist and referent.
