thanks for replying 2500vtg. The trail grooming association where i live is owned by the county. I sent them an email asking how to become a groomer, they also have a tucker similar to your club's. We have atleast 450 miles of trails near west yellowstone. now everyone has to ride are trails now because Obama ruined the west yellowstone trail system by making a law that every snowmobile group has to have a park guide with them to ride in the park so now only tourists can ride in thepark keepitup
@snowcatlawnmower You definately are in a great area for sledding. I did some riding in Yellowstone back in the late 80s. It was before the fire and before all the dumb regulations. We had a blast there and I don't think we had the slightest negative impact on the environment. I think the new rules are more of a cash grab than for any real concern for mother nature. I remember also enjoying some out of the park riding and especially enjoyed a place called Two Top and a bar called Mack's Inn
I wish I still had snow where I live. The only way I can survive in the summer time is by watching these videos. I have a Tucker 1980 2000. All I want to do is drive it but there's no snow.
@snowcatlawnmower Good to hear you enjoy the Tucker. Our local club recently purchased a 2006 Tucker Terra and it's an awesome machine to operate. However, the hydraulics seem way slower on the 2006 than on our older 1988 Tucker 2000. On the new one, you have to have the engine revving at least 1400 RPMs in order for the hydraulics to function which seems kinda dumb. But I sure do like the rubber tracks on the new Tucker.
I didn't realize you are from Manitoba too. Maybe i'll see that groomer on the trails someday. Where did you get the electric actuator for your drag? I don't want to pay $200 to get one for my drag.
I built the drag about 5 yrs ago and at that time, the only place I could think of to buy a 12 v actuator from was Quadivator Industries and I paid thru the nose for it. When I built the twin track machine, I needed another actuator for the hitch and got a real bargain on ebay. I think I snagged that one for not much over a hundred bucks and it works great. Thanks for your comment. Hope to see you on the trails!
Is always dreaming about winter and going to the snowmobile meetings. Our club is called the Hill & Gully Riders. I love all your vids, keep up the good work.
@dagwood64 Thanks, dagwood. Sounds like you and I could be brothers because like you, I never stop thinking about winter and am also fairly involved with the local snowmobile club. It's nice to hear from someone who is also really committed to sledding. All the best to you and your club!
No not yet, thank God. I still have some harvesting to do. The vid was from January of last winter. I was just dreaming about winter again and thought I'd see if I had anymore winter vids that I could post.
