Hes doing that just to rev the engine because it sounds beautiful.

in detail heres how u do it.

Brakes then Clutch (almost the same time but brake first) -> turn ->then heel on the gas to rev the engine. if u have a roaring engine. this is really fun! but just be careful that ur not around crazy people who might think ur calling them out.

I agree, and get annoyed by this frequently when its a car with a lovely exhaust note..although an aircooled flat 4 aint much to listen to I should have had the music balance a little lower.
