I think the reason why people start singing softly is because it is very low register and low notes are usually hard to project like high notes

i love how you pointed out those who think they can really sing, most people yell or are too high or too low.a person who can sing a song really well can sing any song that man has created and make it sound good with their own original voice.people who cant really sing are trying to sound like the artist who is singing the song, there for they are not using their own voice and mess up in the long run and can sing one song really good, but other songs they sound like trash.
