@deloreanfan Honestly I don't know. I've never experience that problem. I'm assuming it might be a Vista compatibility issue. MPT was designed for XP and I believe it is no longer being updated, which may affect non-XP users. Though the software may say it supports, the plug-in may not. As you stated "always tells me the set up has 'stopped working", this is a typical message for programs that are not compatible and may require additional programs/plug-ins, which I don't know of as I use XP Sry

Since the Razr has no file explorer to manually transfer or move files to the right directory, you need to use the MPT program. It automatically assigns and sends each file type to their specific folder (ie Music to music folder, ringtone to ringtone folder and so on) Alot of people think you can just bluetooth an mp3 over and be able to use it as a ringtone, this is false for Moto's

well first you need internet or your pc suite CD.(i have a n70 so i can give you a little help with n seiries )

What do you mean "put it on ur fone for i mac?" Be more specific. These program are not designed for apple computers. It will only work for Windows. Im not sure if theres a Mac version. Well, if you wanna transfer any type of video to your phone it must be compatible. I believe most phone these days (beside PDA/Smartphone, and iPhones) are in 3GP format. You'll need to convert the video to 3GP format then transfer it to the video folder of your phone. Be sure to have enough memory to hold it.
UGH I am so frustrated. I have have been trying for 3 days now to get my motorola razr connected to my computer but to no avail... :(... It's possible you've got either a hardware failure or a battery problem. Over time battery will start to lose it's power and will no longer be able to charge. I suggest you bring it into your service provider and have them check it out. There's nothing these software can do to fix that problem. You might want to consider not to over charge your phone either.

Which version are you using? If older version, you'll need to manually change the phone on the computer to your model phone. I forgot which one but one of the three part of my tutorial, I show you how to change it. On the other hand, if you're using the newer version MPT, there's a big chance it's not compatible with your phone.

OK, so you're using the V3M. You said Razr V3 so I though it was a GSM phone. Just so you know, the Razr V3 and Razr V3M are two different phone. The "M" makes a BIG difference. Ive upload a newer version of MPT so you'll need to follow the first link in the description area to download the newer version. Sometimes filefactory server will freeze due to overwhelming access. If this happens, just retry at a later time. After MPT is downloaded, extract it and follow the "DIRECTION" document.
"Da" link os to the right ---> Go the the grey box where you see the "Subscribe" button. Click on the blue letters where it says "(more info)", then select which version you want. By the way, the links are blue.
What is Vistar OS? If you're talking about "Vista", I'm not a fan of that OS and don't use it, so I'm not sure of the compatibility, however; I do know the older version MPT will not work with Vista OS.

Yes, MOST Motorola cell phone take mini USB, which by the way my phone is a Motorola. A PSP takes the same thing as far as data transfer. You need to check your phone to see if it's compatible with a mini USB adapter before you buy it. If you don't know how a mini USB slot looks like, you'll need to find images of it on the web, then compare the two.

Figeting the camera. Hmmmmm.... Well, I am using my PSP to record the video and it only has 2 level of focus (near and far), if you can tell. If everything was setup successfully and you were able to access the multimedia option but were unable to transfer songs, your phone may be the problem. Are there any damages to your phone? Such as water, your phone took a fall, refurbished (replacement phones are usually refurbish). Sometimes faulty phones will malfunction like situation such as yours.
It's still there. Filefactory updated their page. All you need to do is read. If you read, option 2 has the download link. Just click on the link from option 2 and input the code, then it should redirect you to the download file.
No, not just any kind of USB cable. IT HAS TO BE USB to Mini USB (which has a regular USB on one end and a Mini USB on the other end). This is the USB plug that all Motorola uses. A PSP data cable, or a PS3 controller charging cable will work as well.
You can direct transfer pictures from PC to SD Card and vice versa, but contacts and music/mp3 files will not transfer to the right directory. Unless you find other programs like Motorola Phone Tools that will emulate your cell phone. If your PC or Laptop have bluetooth, which by the way most don't, you can correctly transfer files that way.
Set usb thing sb card??? Well, how were you able to transfer stuff without installing the driver? If you didn't install the driver, the PC won't even recognize your phone? I guess if that works for you, use it instead of MPT. Did mp3's and everything else besides pictures transfer to the right directory, and were you able to locate and use mp3 as ring tone? The last time I tried that method, I didn't even see my phone on the computer.
Hey, if that's how you feel, go for it. It may not be a hack to you but for others, it is because this program is not provided by a lot of carriers. Remember, the meaning of hack is to manipulate a thing or object to work and perform the way it's not supposed to. Certain carriers such as sprint and verizon restrict these kind of program but do offer these type of service for a "small fee". Get it?? By the way, you're kinda late because I've uploaded MPT onto torrent site ages ago.
There's three parts to this video. Make sure you watch it all. I'm not sure which part, but I explained how to switch the appearance so that you can get you phone and its function to work. I think it was in either Part 2 or 3.
So after installation, you launch MPT, and that's where it freezes? Were you able to get to the profile options? Well, it sounds more like a computer problem than a software problem. MPT uses alot of memory. Free up some memory first then re-launch MPT and see if it's giving you the same problem. I mean it's the same exact program that I'm using and it work fine, otherwise I wouldn't have upload it. I don't think there's any other transferring program. at least not that I know of.

My phone doesn't charge when it's out of battery. Why? I open it and it's like it's charging but after like a second it goes off.

I have a w490 Motorola's and it didn't work..
It wasn't on the list!
Also This program is not for all Motorola's, maybe at one point it was but not anymore!
If you know any other programs that might work on my phone I would love it if you could hit me up.. I've already tried Microsoft sync but I don't have windows continents so it docent work either! =(

On the upper right hand side (section with the SUBSCRIBE button)---->
Under my screenname and the date, there's a blue link that says "MORE". Click it and you'll see the details, and then another blue link. Click the blue link and it should redirect you to FileFactory.

Yes, MOST Motorola cell phone take mini USB, which by the way my phone is a Motorola. A PSP takes the same thing as far as data transfer. You need to check your phone to see if it's compatible with a mini USB adapter before you buy it. If you don't know how a mini USB slot looks like, you'll need to find images of it on the web, then compare the two.

Updating the program alone takes almost 10 minutes. By the way, "fucking up your computer"? Figeting the camera. Hmmmmm.... Well, I am using my PSP to record the video and it only has 2 level of focus (near and far), if you can tell. That's why depending if I move away from or towards the monitor, I'm always adjusting the focus level, otherwise, knowing youtubers, they'll find any reason to leave a bad comment, ie. AHHHH this video quality is bullshit, blah blah blah, he's just going to fuck up your computer, blah blah blah, This "dood" doesn't know what he's doing, and so on.

My video is not cut off. There's 3 parts to the tutorial so watch it all. Youtube only allowed me to upload a max of 10 minute worth of clip so I had to break it down to 3 separate parts. Also updating the MPT program is a MUST. Otherwise when switching the gerneric virtual phone to your newer phone models, you might not see your model in the list.

If everything was setup successfully and you were able to access the multimedia option but were unable to transfer songs, your phone may be the problem. Are there any damages to your phone? Such as water, your phone took a fall, refurbished (replacement phones are usually refurbish). Sometimes faulty phones will malfunction like situation such as yours.

It's still there. Filefactory updated their page. All you need to do is read. If you read, option 2 has the download link. Just click on the link from option 2 and input the code, then it should redirect you to the download file.

No, not just any kind of USB cable. IT HAS TO BE USB to Mini USB (which has a regular USB on one end and a Mini USB on the other end). This is the USB plug that all Motorola uses. A PSP data cable, or a PS3 controller charging cable will work as well.

You can direct transfer pictures from PC to SD Card and vice versa, but contacts and music/mp3 files will not transfer to the right directory. Unless you find other programs like Motorola Phone Tools that will emulate your cell phone. If your PC or Laptop have bluetooth, which by the way most don't, you can correctly transfer files that way.

i just found my old psp cable.
stuck my micro sd card into my krzr k1.
then i went into settings and set usb thing sb card.
plug psp cable 2 computer then just copy and paste.

Set usb thing sb card??? Well, how were you able to transfer stuff without installing the driver? If you didn't install the driver, the PC won't even recognize your phone? I guess if that works for you, use it instead of MPT. Did mp3's and everything else besides pictures transfer to the right directory, and were you able to locate and use mp3 as ring tone? The last time I tried that method, I didn't even see my phone on the computer.

Hey, if that's how you feel, go for it. It may not be a hack to you but for others, it is because this program is not provided by a lot of carriers. Remember, the meaning of hack is to manipulate a thing or object to work and perform the way it's not supposed to. Certain carriers such as sprint and verizon restrict these kind of program but do offer these type of service for a "small fee". Get it?? By the way, you're kinda late because I've uploaded MPT onto torrent site ages ago.

There's three parts to this video. Make sure you watch it all. I'm not sure which part, but I explained how to switch the appearance so that you can get you phone and its function to work. I think it was in either Part 2 or 3.

So after installation, you launch MPT, and that's where it freezes? Were you able to get to the profile options? Well, it sounds more like a computer problem than a software problem. MPT uses alot of memory. Free up some memory first then re-launch MPT and see if it's giving you the same problem. I mean it's the same exact program that I'm using and it work fine, otherwise I wouldn't have upload it. I don't think there's any other transferring program. at least not that I know of.
