  • Hi That instrument has a really nice tone. Have You tried an 16" model?

I'm actually interested in buying one but i don't know if it has any bass?

  • what kind of frame drum is this?

  • nice background there! and great drum and technique!

  • @ccsantony Thanks very much! Please subscribe to my channel to see more frame drums.

  • I'm only asking..... IS it possible, In theory, to make a bigger version of this - or any - drum? In your videos you seem to do 22 inch and no bigger, mind you I haven't view ALL of your videos yet LOL

    Thanks

  • do you ship them for Portugal?

  • @pipocapiteca Yes, we ship all over the world, including Portugal.

  • I just got this drum this week and its wonderful! Thank you very much for posting your series of videos showcasing some of remos best frame drums, it helped me to select the one I ended up getting. I was wondering though, whats the diference between the remo frame drums and the remo tars?

  • @NoisyWombat Thanks for the compliments. The Tar sounds completely different than the standard Remo frame drums. They are tuned such that they have the pronounced overtones that Tar players like. This gives the teks much more "ring". I sell the complete line of new Remo Tars on my website GlobalMusicalInstruments (dot com), please visit! I also have videos of all 3 sized Tars at my YouTube Channel

  • @mabbatt Thank you so much for the info! I was thinking about maybe getting a tar and the Remo ones sound so nice.

  • Tell me please what the pickup used for record this frame drum sound?

  • @Infiengham Sorry for the late answer! This is a great mic, it's by Sony. ECM-MS957 (Stereo) Electret Condenser Microphone. It uses one AA (so no need for phantom power). The output of the detachable cord is 1/8" stereo, so it works great for my digital video camera (external mic input), and even better sound on my Sony PCM-D50 Linear PCM Recorder. Jeeez, I sound like a Sony commercial! So yes, I'm a Sony junky, but their equipment is superior and reliable, and also easy to use.

  • Nice playing mate! Is that what you learnt at Miranda's wshop?

  • Yes, and by watching some great videos on YouTube. Check out the links to some of them in the "More Info." section for this video.

David Kuchermann, Miranda, and many others have instructional and performance videos, as you probably know already, so spread the word!
