flew long time ago with them from AMS to SYD via Kuala Lumpur.

Had several stops, now i checked, with 747-400 From Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, and with 777-200 to Sydney.

Also the 747-400 flies to sydney.

I had great experience with Malaysia Airlines. Wonderful staff on board which welcomed us on board as we where in their home.

Loved everthing about my flight from Frankfurt to Manila with Malaysia airlines except the PTV`s, they were small and old with poor picture quality, much prefered KLM`s system !

@yveske9 ...beetje laat met mijn reactie maar ik weet vrij zeker dat malaysian airlines al een paar jaar met de Boeing 777 vanaf Amsterdam richting Kuala Lumpur vliegt.

Ik vlieg zelf meestal met KLM maar mijn vrouw en een nichtje van mij zijn met Malaysian airlines gevlogen in 2008 en 2009 en ik moet me wel heel erg vergissen als dat niet in een Boeing 777 was.

the planes are reeeeeeeaaaaaaaallly old! I mean look at the engine and the wings at about 3:52 to 4:00 ! the average age of their b777 200 is 10 years, thats just ok, but the 737 400 is 16.7 years! damn it thats old. I'm scared flying with them to dps next year. Skytrax commented a 5 star airlines airliners with 3 stars :) funny ^^

@xXMrChillXx but the maintenance, engineering services MRO from Malaysia Airlines is so damn goood although their fleets are tool old but regular service make it better..look at qantas for example nowadays..what was happened? even B747 made a big mistake as compared to Malaysia Airlines 0 records of fatality and accident..Today, Malaysia Airlines has moved forward by signing an agreement with KLM and Air France for MRO service from MAS for its fleets..Now wonder! :)

Its a very nice airport as stopped here enroute to Manila a few times before via KLM airlines.The only draw back is that if you smoke its a approx 10mins walk to the smoking room..this is nice too and sponsored by tobacco companies..lols.

All the girl staff that work in the Duty Free area are very cute and food good also if your wanting a snack.

MAS is the most user for the 737-400 and soon will be the most user for the 737-800...and the 1st Airbus A380 will be in operation on 2011..suppose to be 2010...but because of the economic crisis it delayed the delivery to 2011...MAS the best and MH is 5 star quality of services

as one of 5-star airlines,i wonder why MAS is still using 737-400 for their short-haul & sometimes longer-haul. with so limited entertainment onboard, small aircraft & of course old plane.. the white inside turned yellowish already. no offense.. just asking..

maybe its a part of MAS recovery plan, because it takes a lot of money to renewish and change the aircraft...but if they want to subtitute the 737-400..the best choice is Airbus A320.

@Nat2370 737 is by Boeing and 320 is by Airbus. :D okay serious now .. 737 is a older plane and has no sophisticated state of the art systems such as the Fly-By Wire system that the a320 has. A320 has a arrow like wingtip and a boeing 737 has no wingtip. A boeing 737 has many generations so i dont know which one you are talking about but the Boeing 737 - 100/200/300/400/500 AKA 737 classic is no longer in production. The only 737s in production is the NG series. A320 is still in production. :)

@teddy96 The Boeing 737 NG is quite a large family. (-600/-700/-800/900).

The 737 was the first aircraft to have HUD's installed on a aircraft. 737's don't need Fly By Wire. And all 737's can have winglets installed, and most airlines do too. The 737 sells better, IS better, more comfortable and just plain better.

So just to sum up:

1. The 737 family is still going strong.

2. HUD's are mandatory on all new 737's.

3. They sell better.

4. The 737 doesn't need Fly By Wire.

Yeah, I know, I am a Malaysian. I only took the B777 of MAS once and I loved it, playing game, comfort seats, fast, big and silent. I love the B777 together with MAS. But the flight had 3 languages, BM, ENG and JPN. It was a flight from Osaka-KK(My home city)-KL.

the seat configuration in 777 is sort of like the one in 747

Malaysia airlines has 2-5-2 economy seat configuration for boeing 777.200.

The cabin attendant noticed that I was flying with my family and he offered us a complete 5 seats row but I kindly refused because I had a window seat.

Other airlines especially for 777-300 have 3-4-3 seat configuration and believe me you can't even lift up the arm seat . The triple 7 is an exellent aircraft but cannot be compared with the 747.

Malaysia airlines lands in Rome at 5.00 am. the aircraft is left away from terminal c for almost 5 hours ,then it is towed to terminal for a new flight . If you take a look close to cabin crew at point1,16 you 'll see the captain on the right waiting for boarding . Rome Fiumicino is not an exellent airport,but terminal B and C believe me , are just as good as other european airports.

well , this video is not that old because I flew to vietnam last year and this boeing 737 has blue seats but if you search around you tube you will see some other videos with red blue seats . Anyway MH should start to think about changing aircrafs for airbus A320 or at least 737 400.

Food was good and tasty and if your flight has 10 minutes delay something to drink will be quickly served , children have priority boarding and service on board , the air show on board is careful made and good movie and games choose.
