If price is NOT an issue, go for a custom build alienware with 21 screen ;) Mine rox, playing need for speed world atm, all setting s on full and looks the bees knees.

For $1000 the dell doesn't look too bad although a better card (gpu) would certainly speed things up a bit ;)

@shockofgod i have an i7 Dell studio 15. i play starcraft 2 on it on low graphics settings but it still runs smoothly. do you have any battery issues? I got the 9cell battery and it lasts 2 hours..

@CrazyTechTime the intell 3000 graphics is an onboard graphics card. You will not like it i promise you. Get a laptop with a gpu from ati or nvidea. And look up benchmarks for that card.

@shockofgod For run a game you need RAM and VRAM the most.If you have I3 and good RAM and VRAM you can run even Crysis 2.

@LukRacer well there are dells that stink and even alienware laptops that stink so you can't really give it a broadbrush like that but you have to judge each pc or laptop on its own. I have a I7 very fast Quad core laptop and for the money I can't find anything that can beat it or I would have bought that. Where can someone get a new I7 Quad laptop brand new for under $1000? I can't find them any where.

You can get alienware but out the door it's over $1200 for an I7 QUAD

@shockofgod it was an HP, 4GB of RAM, 500GB of hard drive, i7 as processor, but the graphics weren't very good, they were only a Nvidia GTX 230M. Anyway I'm glad HP solved the overheating problems with their laptops, my brother's laptop takes a few hours before we feel the heat, while my Core 2 Duo laptop heats pretty much instantly, although it's from another brand, a very very good brand, and never overheated even using it at its full potential for a full day.

you need to learn how to build a cpu shock! i built me a computer better than a $7,000 alien ware computer for $1,100. I also built a $500 better than a $3000.Both run this game at 60 fps at high quality and AA.

To me the multiplayer is much more fun than the Call of Duty multiplayer. Ha. More tactical and team orientative. i love this game.

@BountiAaron Shock is right bfbc2 is pro 1337 what ever term you'd prefer, call of duty is a random spawn/ kill/ die fest. bfbc2 is lagless murder / objective / helpful teammates murder fest, assuming you're not play with mw2 neebs and alien wares are over priced, you could build most their pc's for half prices if you have the time and the know how.

Better performance yes, but I wouldn't have went with Dell as they tend to break pretty fast. I've seen too many dells break in less than 3 months to say they are good. Some examples are the hard drive failing on my friend's dell studio laptop after only around 3 months, the Lan on my computer at work (which is a dell) died only after a week an a half (now there's a separate network card), and more.
