  • PM Your an ASSHOLE, you werent there, such a coward. I was one of the Indie media caught in the blockage, those caught were NOT violent, most just ambled, some even lived past Spadina. What a pathetic sack of oxygen you are.

  • fuck public property

  • lol stfu they only arest like 3 people and then people start fighting back and you bitch about them arresting a bunch of people what assaulting a police officer is not a crime any more

  • @PresidentialMoments public property is not the problem they were braking private property like peoples shops and vehicles just for the fun of it

  • Your a dumbfuck. The people were brought to the various police stations across toronto and im sure they stayed dry but that should be the least of your worries. I was there and riots took place everyday you cunt. And what the fuck were you protesting?? "THE NEW WORLD ORDER" YOUR FUCKING INSANE!!! All these countries are doing are coming together and dicussing economics and world trade, and then people destroy government property, Yes your really stopping the economic disscussions..

  • @PresidentialMoments -- Where, exactly, were you on Sunday? Locations? Times?

  • @PresidentialMoments

    you're a misinfo agent.

we know the tactic used at the toronto G20 and i know why your name had to have capital letters in it. agent provocateurs everywhere nowadays.

I REALLY WAS THERE. what you are doing is totally inhumane. 'you' sold your soul for the new world order, not us.

  • @chadlen

why is 'PM's comment the first comment you read on here anyways? what the #%$@!

  • @chadlen You really are one nutty mother fucker..

  • @PresidentialMoments You are a liar. The people did not stay dry; many were soaked and near hypothermic. The riots did not happen every day. The riots happened for one hour and thats when the police backed off. You clearly were not there, and you do not even understand what the G20 means, or what happened. You are a simple minded and a fool, and you need to educate yourself before ignorantly making comments about important events.

  • if hippies could just stfu and stop being so self righteous we wouldnt have this problem.

  • @PresidentialMoments Research before you spew your bull shit all over the place. 1) The riots took place on Saturday, 95% of the riots took place by Black Bloc who were 75 people in a crowd of 40,000. 2) This video was taken Sunday when there were no riots whatsoever 3)These people were not responsibile for the damage on Saturday, most of them WERE NOT EVEN PROTESTORS. 4)2 hrs later it began to rain and they had to stand there in their summer clothes freezing, they were held for a total of 5 hrs

  • I don't understand why people are siding with the police here. Do you not understand? They completely violated our rights, then abused their power. They sexually assaulted girls inside the detention center, I was in a paddy wagon for 4.5 hours where they made a woman with a kidney disease pee on the floor because they wouldnt let her our. Do you understand what has just happened to YOUR RIGHTS as a Canadian?

  • @PresidentialMoments You have no idea what you are talking about. I was in this group. The "riots" that the police left unattended were the day before. On this day, there was absolutely nothing happening but a peaceful march down the street when they cornered us and took us down. Its nice you have opinions, but as someone who was there, you have absolutely no facts, and you are completely wrong.

  • @PresidentialMoments These people were not destroying property. They were a mix of peaceful protesters, onlookers and residents.

They were subjected to forceable confinement and were made to stand in the heavy rain for four hours. People have the right to protest. These people's rights were violated.

Those people who are willing to give up some of their rights for a little security, don't deserve those rights in the first place.

  • @PresidentialMoments -- PM, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. You weren't here, were you? Didn't think so. The violent protests were the day before; I watched this one arrive, peacefully -- they chanted and sang AND THAT'S ALL. Police circled them. Your "guarantee" is worthless, too; police hauled many (all?) of them away to the detention centre where they were held without charge in abysmal conditions. Try learning more before you vomit your ill-informed opinions. Have a nice day.

  • @TheeLifeQuixotic dude they can hold you for 24 hours with out charging you and thats a good thing your trying to disrupt something that will better your country because people in africa are hungry or there is a homeless problem here is an idea dont fuck with the cops and you wont have problems

  • i think everybody is trying to make sense of the whole thing ... police, anarchists, who to point the finger at??? i expect as the human species, imperfection and injustices are bound to happen in tense moments. BUT ... i believe shyt always rolls downhill. i wish all canadians will never forget this historical moment and will seriously evaluate who they elect next time in our federal government.

  • I was disgusted to watch this happen in my city. The police were nowhere to be found on Saturday and detaining regular people and peaceful protesters on Sunday.

In my opinion, they completely F'd this whole thing up. Shame on them.

  • @christhisis They caused alot of vandalism too bro, not only to commercial companies but also family owned business in the area. Regardless no one person can be accountable by law they can detain them for questioning regardless of reason during a riot.

  • @serialbuseater "THEY" did not cause any vandalism, bro. The men dressed in black whom the police IGNORED did their vandalism the day before. They were not in their rights to arrest people who were peacefully assembling. Be careful of who you chose to defend. Know your rights. Amazing how many people want to side with the police. This video is proof that THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU BRO!

  • This all would've been avoided if the G20 WAS NOT HELD IN A MAJOR CITY!

Haven't these World Leaders ever heard of Skype or any other video messaging program? THIS IS 2010, THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO HOLD A CONFERENCE BESIDES MEETING FACE TO FACE AND CAUSING A CITY TO BREAK OUT IN CHAOS.

But they don't give a shit about us, to them we're just ants. Well there are more ants than humans...

  • @WickedLiquid I agree wholeheartedly! They should be thinking enough to keep the danger away from the non-protesting citizens, there are apartments near Queen street. Is it fair that the tenants wake up to the sound of violence every morning, because that's the property they happened to choose? I'd think not!

  • @WickedLiquid I completely agree. Just imagine what they could have done with this 1 billion dollar.

  • @WickedLiquid If you've ever had a real social relationship with anyone you'd know that talking face to face is very important when developing trust and friendship. I am not saying this to be rude. I understand that your opinion is a valid one, but these protests should not have taken place. The meeting of these political powers in Toronto should have brought pride to Canada, not protest and outbursts of violence. I believe police should have dealt with this protest in a more humane manner. Pce.

  • @HLGREAL Skype is used for video conferences, that's one of it's many uses. Sure it doesn't have that personal touch but the pros outweigh the cons. You're saying the G20/G8 should've brought pride to Canada? Have you seen what happens at past summits? Nobody wanted that to happen here in Toronto. Nobody wanted the insane price tag that was spent on this summit. We already hosted the Olympics and that's something Canada can be proud of. Not this joke of a summit.

  • @WickedLiquid This Summit would not have been a joke if Canadian citizens could accept that the point of these gatherings were to improve life around the world. If the Bloc believe that violence will convince these Governments to stop meeting and negotiating they are incredibly uneducated. The G8/G20 should have helped Canada further develop it's status as a world power. Some people don't fully understand the good that can come from this meetings.

  • FUCK THE POLICE so many bullshit laws and this just anutha one to go along wit it

  • Police swarm the streets of downtown Toronto, and if you don't have ID on you, you can be arrested on the spot. Reminds me a little of the Gestapo, hmm? "A billion dollars spent on security well spent" says Harper, "The incidents of the Black Bloc justify it, and to prove it we will arrest more people. Innocent and peaceful protesters... but what about the indoor lake, or the city blocked off? was that money well spent? Ruling class, and working class. Toronto has become a police state... boo

  • Oh really? If it were a police state why haven't they jumped and brought in the war measures act? We could easily have the army on our doorsteps, but we don't.

The Black Bloc on the other hand are disguising themselves as peaceful protesters while carrying improvised weapons! Meanwhile unarmed people are getting arrested in an attempt to stop the random destruction! I don't trust anyone who vandalizes, loots and commits arson in my city. The cops aren't even doing that!

  • This was some seriously bunk shit. I was there, and everybody was completely peaceful. No right to arrest us, They herded us there like sheep from all angels and surrounded us, then one by one tore us away from one another. Do we really live in a police state now? Police force wasn't needed for this, they told me that we were being arrested for obstructing the peace and that we had been told to leave. We were surrounded, no way to go. Then pushed into a tight group and picked out one by one.
