it was discontinued but they are bringing it back with the Makeup Art Cosmetics collection :D thank goodness :) but you can find it at CCO already if you have one near your house.
i jusy bought the smashbox photofinish primer and i really ike it, can i also use it as a primer on my eyes or do i need a seperate primer for that, i also saw a video where a girl used chapstick as a primer, have you ever tried that?
you look so pretty..i think it depends on the persons face features you have nice eyes and a good face ..makeup looks good on you..sorry but, most people cant pull this off..lol
being interested in make up doesnt mean that we doesnt have life or stupid... what's wrong with make up? i think it's another world of art! dont condemn ladies for being addicted to make up!
it's so weird that some thin the ppl making or watching these vids are brainless morons whose entire lives are make-up.why can't you get the fact that one can both read books and be interested in make-up into your little heads?
i finally found a pigment close to this cocomotion colour. it's from BYS though. it's the australian version of NYX (we don't have NYX here neither). =(
one question. I noticed you "tugged" at the skin around your eyes when you applied the liquid eyeliner. I do this too, but I heard it's bad because it causes loosening of the skin and eventually wrinkles. what is your opinion on this? :/
I obviously need to get that pigment (or... one that's similar) :D
Love your videos btw. Especially the skincare ones? My skin seems to act similarly to yours (normal cheeks and semi-oily t-zone that becomes more oily during the summer) - so I'm excited to try out the clinique-stuff you mentioned. (Been trying out a lot of stuff, and few of them seem to really work..)
Anyway - hope to see MANYMANY more videos in the future :)
Great video, you're really good. lol at when you spoke on the phone. I tried on the dallas blush today and now i think i'm going to buy it, well worth the investment.
First time commenter, love this look - one colour, but it still makes your eyes pop, and you're right about how that colour has different layers... I need to find it! :)
Wow, you are such a beautiful girl!!! Love the look too!!! The only lack for me, was that you didn't line your brows but it's not that necessary - it just completes the look. But really good job, I'm definately gonna use this :)
hmmm , so are we suppose to like wait for the pigment to dry b4 curling the lashes ? what colour do u recommend 2 ppl wif asian eye ( no crease , not so big eye )
hi steph, funny how u were on th phone durin that tut :) i guess its cheating callin it a single colour cos the rubenesque is like the lighter shade- cos thats not neutral colour right? love it tho... also love all ur lip colours- esp the pink mattene ones and the pucker tendertone! i missed em here in london. dang limited editions!!
hello! i just wanna say i love all your tutorials! you're beautiful.
quick question: is there only one color of MAC Astral Rays inOrange Twink? that's the only one i found at mac website.. otherwise, what color did you use? thanks..
astral rays is a shade of glimmershimmer from mac :) that's the color i used.... mine is more of a golden beige color. perhaps you can look into lorac's luminizer. i used that before i used mac's glimmershimmer.
I love this look!!! Now, do you think Blacktrack fluidliner is good for contact wearer? I am a contact wear and I often use eyedrops. Thanks for this wonderful tut!
i think it should be fine for contact wearers. as long as you don't rub your eyes often or rub it if some eyedrops get on your eyelid (dab it lightly) it should work great for you :)
Careful hun, too much tugging on lid could lead to wrinkles! Try using your ring finger, its gentler than your pointer. Better yet, use your pinky! =)
in your desciption box it says that you use the mac astral rays charged water to wet your brush..is that another kind of charged water? I thought there were only three
Thanks Stephie ! I actually spent over 200 a few days ago on MAC ! haha i got the face brush set foundation some brushes lip stick eye shadows and whatnot ! your my inspiration ! I LOVE IT ! you have turn me into a machaholic dear !=D
glad i could help hehehehe :P have fun with your new goodies! and send me pics sometime if you could to my email! i'd love to see what you make out of the products you have :)
Hey Stephie ! I was wondering which brushes you use to apply paint pot and the pigment ? i see you use two different ones lol I think the first one is 249 ?
for paint pots and paints (or even fluidlines which i use as a base once in a while) i use the 242 brush, then to apply pigments i use my 239. my 239 though i pretty much use for any type of eye shadow placement :)
hi stephie! what mac select tint do you use?? you're skin color looks like mine and i use mac nc35 foundations. i've been wanting to order the select tint but, the mac website only has it in nc30 or nc40... not sure if they even make it in nc35! you're sooo good w/ makeup, girl! keep up the wonderful work!
I went to Macy's after I watched this video to ask if they had Cocomotion, but they didn't. The MA called around and she found one location that had it and she put it on hold for me. This will be my first pigment purchase! Thanks again!
udpp goes on sort of clear & matte while beige-ing has shimmer to it. i usually use udpp for my all over base up to my brows, then i will apply a colored base up to my crease for the shadows & i notice that the shadows last even longer & they are more vibrant.
is fluidline good for the water line? and is it easy to apply? i have trouble with cream and liquid liners. and it smudges like crazy all the time. advice would be great thanks.
for me, fluidline doesn't stay on my waterline for long. probably lasts for less than an hour, but that may be my eye shape. a MAC artist told me that Technakohl Liners as well as Eye Kohls & the new Kohl Powers (which smudge like no bodies business!) are tested for the waterline. i use technakohl liners for the most part. hth! :)
i love all your video tuts and NO. I WILL NEVER be bored with your AMAZING tutorials.
I loveeee this one eyeshadow tut and PLEASE
keep this one eyeshadow tut coming...coz i am a beginner and am still a oneshadow kinda girl but i really like the smoking eyes quad too. What brush did you use for the e/s, shadestick and the blacktrack?
i applied the paint pot with the 242 brush, the pigment with the 239 (my fave brush!), then lined my eyes with the 266 brush. i applied the shadestick straight from the tube, it's kind of like a pen in a way. hth!
I´ve seen you on specktra and loved all your FOTDs and Tutorials so far. You´re such a gorgeous girl and I like that you did a one eyeshadow tutorial cause that´s what I do for a day look
i don't have any mixing medium yet, i keep planning on getting it but always forget when i get to the MAC store. i just spritzed a little bit of my charged water on my brush :)
great look. the pigment is really pretty, and when i first saw your makeup at the start of the video it did look like a lot of different colors blended together. you are really beautiful, and you really know how to pick colors that work well with your skin tone, eye/hair color. can't wait to see more. :)
i know techtonic (sp?) mineralized eyeshadow looks like this, which is why i passed on it. it's from the flashtronic collection so it may not be available. i'm not sure about the permanent colors though, i'll have to check that out when i go to the store for mattene & i'll let you know!
omg that is my favorite pigment of all time!! but omg i had to return it... =/ my dad says the glitter from it can get in ur eyes. but lyk that xsparkage girl puts actual glitter on her eyelashes and she doesnt get it in her eyes ='(. i should have been lyk ohh i lost it.. lol so then i could still use it ughh. too bad it was a limited edition
