Elvis Presley was my dads favorite singer. He passed away when I was 8 and at 10 years old I was completely infatuated with him. This is the first time I've heard him in probably 5 years and I balled like a baby...almost 12 years daddy, I miss you.

@tupregunta you know, even though this is reamke, and elvis, perry, and others sang it too. only to me but elvis made this song, really the way it was meant to be. perry his voice was something, like his own style of emotions, but really great, the original guy, honest he didnt put what elvis and perry did, thats love, he put it like he didnt care of love, or didnt wanna sing it. but thats me.

@shadowphurba I agree 100% . It's real simple : DON talked his way through it , folk-singer style . PERRY'S cover ? anythng was an improvement over DON. ELVIS SANG IT !!! ONLY ELVIS could have taken the original and turned it into this beautiful masterpiece. This cover is just another example of why ELVIS is so LOVED today . It's a FACT , that DON was always thrilled to find out ELVIS was covering this song on tour.

@bootseybuddy oh, thats his name, don i never that i just knew he sang the original. you see elvis had cover so many original, but your right elvis is loved because he did what others couldn't do show them, what a guy like elvis did with the heart and love he gave to these great songs he covered at for that to he is king, he did over 1,000 songs, some are original, written for him to sing, some he did co-write but the fact is he is still the king, i have respect for others in the past :)

@WorldTradeSecurities I tried listening to her cover of this years ago and it was terrible . I couldn't stand to listen to the whole song . We are supposed to believe you - that an almost unknown singer , never had a # 1 Hit , can sing better than ELVIS . who is known WORLDWIDE and has 32 # 1 HITS ? We have a saying over here - " I was born yesterday " tell me another story . I'll believe anything . Why such absurd bias ? Tell us - maybe we ELVIS fans can help you .

I like Elvis. I really like this song. I have his music, but not all off it. He was very prolific in his musical career. His movies were not so good. I have to be honest. The music was good. Just because a guy is a singer, it does not make him an "Actor". If he can do both he is truely an entertainer. I like Elvis. :)

@TheAlinaLopez Just watch the good movies, like Flaming Star, King Creole, Follow That Dream, Jalhouse Rock, Loving You..... He was a natural born entertainer who could both sing and act. Bad scripts make for bad movies and THAT is what happened in the 60's. But the guy could act, different styles too.
