  • Was that pitcher Yu Darvish?

  • @LGGolf18 yes

  • not exactly what I'd call Spiderman but a good catch nontheless

  • Akamatsu's Catch from Murata's hit was so much more spiderman.

  • Yu Darvish

  • good catch, but NOT amazing catch

  • NOTHING LIKE SPIDERMAN YOU WORTHLESS FOOL!

  • what was so amazing?

  • I thought he was going to run up the wall and catch it.

  • @mfrizzle90 I was expecting some really crazy Asian shit to happen >=[

  • Prettty interesting that the camera actually follows the pitchers release....wish they'd do that more here in the states. Other than that, why the fuss over a standard outfield play?

  • lol im pretty sure spider man isn't the only person who can jump

  • this kek is well, but does not relate to spider man

  • i hate you so much for being an "amazing" moron

  • WHY ISNT BASEBALL CLASSICS BIG AS THE WORLD SERIOUS??????

  • @09babyjoe Its series you dumb fuck!

  • Matsui can't play defense, but I can tell you he's 2X better than ichiro.

  • @Ejhekk33 Hideki Matsui??? what in the hell are you talking about. Get a clue. Ichiro very well may be the best baseball player of all time...

  • @tpstrat14 You are the biggest fucking idiot I have ever seen best player of all time fuck no Babe Ruth obviously then everybody else in the hall of fame then Albert Pujols then A-Rod in his good years then its Jose Bautista in the past two years then maybe Dan Uggla for home runs then Andrew Mccutchen who is faster than Ichiro then it is Mark Teixeira which I should have put second and last I can think of is Matt Holliday a power and contact hitter I will throw in a pitcher to Roy Halladay.

  • @bestwaffleg During a 56 game stretch in 2004, Ichiro batted over .450. That's over a third of the season if you can't do the math. In comparison, Joe Dimaggio hit .408 during his 56 game hit streak. Enough said. You don't know shit about baseball if you don't think Ichiro is right up there with the best ever.

  • @tpstrat14 I know more than you you stupid mother fucker he isn't its probably because your a fucking mariners fan that is like me saying Brandon Beachy is the best pitcher ever because i'm a Braves fan!

  • @bestwaffleg I've been a Red Sox fan since the mid 90s. I couldn't care less about the M's. Ichiro has been the best player in baseball in the last decade besides maybe Pujols. Just because the guy doesn't stand at the plate like an ape and hit home runs doesn't mean he's not one of the best ever. Might I add that every now and then he'll have some fun and hit more homers than anyone else during batting practice. He CHOOSES not to hit homers in games. That's legendary stuff right there.

  • @tpstrat14 Anybody can hit homers in batting practice not as much of a challenge he doesn't choose not to hit homers that is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever heard! Yes he will be in the hall of fame but for being fast and hitting for a high average not many people will remember him although in 50 years people will remember Pujols and A-Rod but not a contact hitter nobody remembers contact hitters.

  • @bestwaffleg The home run derby is proof that hitting home runs isn't easy even when someone is trying to let you hit it out. Search google. I'm sure there are a few articles on Ichiro CHOOSING not to be a home run hitter. He plays the game the way he wants to play it. And that doesn't include standing at the plate like a gorilla and hitting long, lazy fly balls like Adam Dunn. (I bet you think Adam Dunn is a better baseball player than Ichiro, huh? Fool)

  • And yes, no one remembers contact hitters.Ty Cobb: 117 homers. Pete Rose: 152 homers. Tony Gwynn: did he ever even hit one? lol... yea, no one remembers those guys. They were only some of the best in the game just like Ichiro.

  • @tpstrat14 Your right that was a stupid thing to say but power hitters are talked about more often.

  • @bestwaffleg "Power hitting" has turned baseball into a weight-lifting type of sport. It doesn't matter where you hit it, it doesn't matter how you hit it, it doesn't matter how many times you strike out before you hit it. The only thing that matters is how far you hit it. David Ortiz, Adam Dunn and countless other unathletic pieces of shit wouldn't have a job if the fences were pushed 50 feet back like they should be. Ichiro would be making even MORE money lol...

  • @tpstrat14 Well it has always been a power sport and David Ortiz and Adam Dunn are in shape having fat isn't always out of shape and Ichiro wouldn't be making more money because he would still be hitting it the same distance and if you asked a fan in any state would you rather see a ball blasted 500 feet or a single through the middle obvious answer would be HOMERUN! David Ortiz is one of the most clutch players in the game and if you say being fat is unathletic then you say Prince Fielder is.

  • @bestwaffleg for the first 60-100 years of the game it wasn't a power sport. Remember the dead ball era? Remember how the reason that Babe started hitting home runs like mad wasn't because he was a God, but because they changed what the ball was made of? No you wouldn't know any of that because like I said before, you don't know SHIT about baseball. All you know is how far these fatass, steroid-sodden, unathletic pieces of shit can hit a baseball.

  • @tpstrat14 Also most people talk about Pete Rose because of the fact he destroyed an all star catchers career and was nearly charged with that betting scandal.

  • @tpstrat14 Also on Prince Fielder if you say Dunn and Ortiz are unathletic then you must think Prince Fielder is but look at Fielder he is always training always trying to get better hes even a fucking vegetarian being fucking fat doesn't make you unathletic being unhealthy and not training does you fucking waste of life.

  • @Ejhekk33

    WRONG!

    Look at stats.

    Noob

  • I can do that in my sleep

  • That was a balk

  • sorry, nothing special here.

  • In america, little league players do that.

  • Keep playing 7 and it sounds like i made it wettie

  • 93people are chinese.

  • thats stupid that happens every day in the mlb

  • thats stupid that happens every day in the mlb

  • 0:04 bottom of screen is gay

  • 0:08 y does he get hella slow... he lagged or sumthin

  • i could catch that with my eyes closed

  • i thought this was americain ichiro

  • @thunderboy102020 American Ichiro.???

  • @Kruegerisgod he plays on seattle in america

  • @thunderboy102020 nah duh! but of course he's japanese, and by those words yes it is american ichiro

  • @Kruegerisgod ohhh

  • those catches happen in like every mlb game ...not too impressing

  • wtf the pitchers neck is like 10 ft

  • Sorry, am I supposed to be impressed?

  • For a player of that caliber, it's routine.

  • just because he's japanese doesn't mean he's ichiro!! ha ha

  • @whitesox103 It is Ichiro. It's the World Baseball Classic. All players even if they are in the MLB play for their home countries, so during the WBC he played for Japan.

  • @whitesox103 Didn't you know? All Japanese baseball players are Ichiro clones.

  • @silencesoloud12 ha ha! i was waiting for a comment like that lol!

  • lol just a regualr catch

  • what the fuck man.. this is a waste of my time.

  • How can Japanese jump so high while they are so short o_O

  • @royalsteven THEY KNOW KARATE

  • Or they have really good reflexes :)

  • cant stand ichiro, ken griffey jr all the way

  • That aint standard it is a nice catch near wall...

  • A real spiderman catch is Masato Akamatsu's catch. That catch is f*ing AMAZING!!

  • @NaturallySadistic ...I agree M. Akamatsu is the BEST one of all.

  • ..............???? nonsense

  • Title extremely misleading. There is no spiderman aspect to this. It is not an easy catch but it is one that any major league outfielder should be able to make.

  • he knew how far the wall was becasue he looked at it wtf

  • Honestly, that seems fairly routine.

  • is this baseball world cup?

  • ichiro is awesome

  • It's not freekin' amazing spider man cathch..

    He is MLB player.

and he is top of MLB player, then, he must be catch that freekin' ball

Aren't you? He is JUST FAST GUY.

  • what exactly is the "spider man" part of the catch?

  • Good catch, but he has made better.

  • I hate baseball.

  • @Chrisbajs

    Then don't watch this video?

  • @Chrisbajs play netball

  • there was nothing spiderman about that catch

  • @cory7435:

Traditionally, this could be considered a balk, based on the movement by his legs just before he lifts his front foot off the mound. That would, technically, be considered "misleading the runner". However, umpires generally let this go if it is a part of their release EVERY pitch.

  • wtf standard catch lol

  • @kevenchampagne1 Standard Catch alright...for fielders like Ichiro.

  • @ragnargrimnar ehh i mean I play baseball and that not amazing

  • @kevenchampagne1 I played baseball too, but also note how little effort it took him. other fielders would have had to try hard.

  • How did the pitcher balk? Does not matter nobody on base would have been irrelevant unless in Japan they call it a ball

  • the pitcher balked

  • @burnszy96 its not a balk is called a hesitation most pitchers do it
