  • Tiger direct is better

  • i loved their magazines but they quit them back in 2009 they started in the late 80's and i'm too busy to be bothered going to their website i miss your magazines guys bring them back

  • 240P for safety reasons.

  • Sooo confusing! is this still the same in modern day (2011)

  • You don't need a 650w I'm using a 500w with a radeon 5770

  • @Cryo53 thanks dude.

  • 1.8ghz processer for 100 dollers get the fuck out of here lol

  • Yeah this video is extremely old now in computer years. About 99% of this computer is extremely outdated. These days 650watt power supply units is a must, especially if you plan on using crossfire(using 2 video cards, which most gaming computers do). For a more updated guide and help with newer parts I really suggest using (elitepcbuilding . com). It is an amazing guide on picking parts and building a computer and is really worth checking out if you are about to build a computer.

  • @Cryo53 lol I have a 520w psu with a HD5850 that requires at least 500 watts and works fine -

  • lol this was put out on my bday

  • 1.86GHz? that's terrible! I bought a 3.4GHz AMD phenom II black edition quad core processor for around the same price! well, I guess this was 3 years ago

  • @GatremagWenYm

Wonder why you bothered with your comment even though you knew there was a three year descrepancy.

  • This video moves at a pretty slow pace and the other 4 steps take a while too....I would recommend just going to (elitepcbuilding . com), read the step by step instructions how to build a computer and be done with it.

  • Try Asian women **busizz4me.info**

  • lol in the yearrrrrrrr 2007.. I bet this build costs like 300 dollars now

  • thx u very much dude nice video

  • I've got the same PSU god my computer is old :o

  • Mup da doo didda po mo gub dat tum muhfugen bix nood cof bin dub ho muhfugga

  • I don't have money to build my own computer.

  • @lilcrazyaznboy If you have the money to buy a comp you have the money to build one.

  • @Detroit6star I have a 4 year old laptop that was given to me from my cousin.. I never buy a computer before, and I don't have money for it.. I don't have a job, so yeah.. Even if I had the money, it would probably go for rent, food and gas.. Like I said, I don't have money to build a computer..

  • @lilcrazyaznboy Wow.. well i don't really want to delve to much in you're personal life. So best of luck to you.

But all i meant was that it actually costs less to build one then to buy one, so IF you had the money to buy one you have the money to build one. I didnt know you ment you had no money for either.

  • can ecc ram be used on a msi 785gm-e51 motherboard?

  • For any cquestions about computers you can submit your question on my channel

i will answer them within 24 hours

    thankyou

  • @Gransalayva Do most cases or motherboards come with the pin things to keep it from touching the side of the case?

  • This Video Is 200% AWESOME!!!!

  • all are power supplies and cases the same becaus i had 1 time a prob the for connecting the ccase and powe supply doesnt match

  • if i want to connect 2 system fans and theres only 1 space what do i do

plug it into my power suply?

i really dnt want to because i want to be able to control the speed of the fans

  • Comment removed

  • just buy one there cheat like 600 or 1,000

  • in under 1000$ .............dont u think its bit expensive

  • @iamarjunmehta depends.

  • if i buy a pc case fan does it have to be installed in the front, back or side. Or do i need 1in the back and 1 in the front

  • its really good

  • when you are doing this. Do you have to ground yourself to avoid shock?

  • @desertstorm21 its recoomended you use a anti static wristband so you dont damage the parts of the computer

  • what if you were talking and you spit on the motherboard?

    lol

  • @IanRobot rofl XDD so random but interesting to think about lol

  • thank you very helpful

  • Very thorough videos, answered lots of my fears :P.

    Thanks : D

  • it would be nice if this guy knew what he was doing

  • kiss my ass

  • nice vid um would buildn a comp da way he shows in this vid b able to play many games good tho say if i upgraded ram graph n sounds card n had intel core quad i7 with 3.6-4ghz ?

  • @dead2nite learn how to spell you illiterate bastard

  • um suck a dick u dumbfuck, homo. was in a rush

  • @dead2nite Are you still in a rush? Because you still have no concept of grammar.

  • wow u r just a sad cunt got nothn better to do den start shit get a life

  • @dead2nite No I'm someone who knows how to spell and wont be working in McDonalds

  • what ever sad cunt im to busy with better stuff to do than waste time arguing with a fag like you o and btw im not going to be working at mcdonalds as im doing a computer apprenticeship you ignorant fuck

  • thats the whole reason i asked a question on these vid to confirm my suspessions so it could help me learn you fag

  • lol

  • @snipski0894

    McDonald's*

  • mine was for around 879 .99 and work s like HeLL

  • You only really need more than 600w if you are crossfiring.

  • i got a question if someone can send it to me it is that i have a 5 year old mother board (shuttle gamer build) and its processor is a 2.01 ghz if someone can help me please. or if i have to buy a new motherboard to upgrade it please someone help me..

  • and it is by bfg

  • now if your building a pc i recommend getting 650watt because of the new graphic cards coming.

  • not that true.

new video card are supposed to be more power efficient.

  • my uncle had a 260gtx bfg and he only had a 550watt power supply (corsair) and his computer wasn't stable

So i bought it from him and i have a 650watt (antec) power supply and its running just fine.

  • @jetstreamLt If you want to make a seriously big computer I was able to get a computer that needed 1200 watt psu. :) of course i dont know anybody that uses that much in a computer.

  • @jetstreamLt reading this comment 2yrs later makes one lol :)

  • What''s a good amount of power supply for a gaming computer?

  • 500 or 600 watt power supply should run excellent graphics cards.

  • nah, mine has a 750 watt psu and its at its limit

  • i run 800 and in sure u could go down a few hundred and it would still run exelently

  • 700

  • might be a bit stupid but im using an old case with the no motherboard screws where can i get these?

  • Nice guide, thanks for posting this.

  • This step by step guide is great. It's clear and easy to understand.

  • Doesn't the power supply come with the case?

  • no you have to buy it separately.

  • Well mine came with a pretty decent power supply.

  • Not always...

So make sure you check that before you buy the case !

  • depends on your case you may find a case which is good with a psu but not powerfull enough for what you want, simply replace it. Or buy one, for a £300-£500 build, use around 500-650 Watt which should be enough, else use 1000 Watts where you can't go wrong :P

  • Did the AFM stuff include in the motherboard box or did u need to buy it by urself?

  • standoffs come with your motherboard

  • GR8!

  • 46,500th viewer!! i subbed

  • tsk tsk... you're not using an orange screwdriver...

  • I have Intel i7 Extreme

  • holy shit, swimming in money I'm guessing. The processor alone is $1000.

  • humor fail at 4:42

  • LOL it made my insides hurt

  • indeed. it was THAT bad.

  • do standoffs come with the motherboard or u gota buy em seperate

  • They usually come with zee case.

  • XD i am 13 and this 5 vid maked me build a extreme good pc with 8gb ram and 5 ghx and muck moore

  • Okay...

  • Liar

  • I am 12,and i know that all....great video.

  • he touched the case, hes fine.

  • Does this guy know static electric?? He seems to know everything but electric static. Holding motherboard and Graphic Card like that.......!!?#$%*!

  • Static electricity is only a small thing to worry about. You really have to be shuffling on a surface such as carpet to really get a static charge going.

  • Yeah right..... my skin is dry skin and I wear rubber-based shoe everyday and still, when I touch metal things, I get electricuted.....

What do you think carpet is related here, when you hear my case.....??

I still think that the guy need to spend his time building the video again WITH static electricity mentioned.... and how to discharge those static....

Should I mention here what to do to discharge static electricity?.... after all... this guy know everything, right...??

  • First off, I have much experience with building computers, Im not new to this. I work at a computer store.

Second, I never said that this guy knew everything. However he knows his stuff and like I said, static electricity is not a huge deal. I don't know how to you get electrocuted seemingly constantly as you mention it when I rarely get electrocuted.

Third, can you please tell me when one of your pieces of hardware has been destroyed by static electricity? I enjoy listening to other opinions

  • Like I said earlier....

    My skin is dry...very dry...

and dry skin can have static electricity...very much....

When I sometimes touch metal object, when it is about to touch the metal object, it usually accur blue light from my skin to the metal object and I get electricuted...

Imagine that this blue electric light touch component like NorthBridge.... It will not fry the NorthBridge... but at least it will decrease it's endurance

  • Dry means electric... make sence to me

  • MrBradley10 & fxautomatic:

YOU CAN ONLY GET ELECTROCUTED ONE TIME!

To be electrocuted means to be killed by electricity.

If electricity doesn't kill you, then the correct term to use is "shock". A shock can be any voltage level. Now if that shock can create the amps to kill a person, then it turns into electrocution.

  • Thanks for the correction, Yes, What I meant was I got Shock everyday when I touch metal object with my bare hands, So when ever I want to touch a metal object, I usually hold a metal key in my hand and touch the metal object with the key first before touching the object with my hands to release the electricity out off my body.

  • thats not true i work in a electronics building...ESD issue can happen down the road. it doesn't happen initially

  • Excellent video.

  • lol wen i brought my comp it was so dodgy, the cords from the usb mic and headphone jack werent even connected but i couldnt figure out wer they went lol

  • 4:42

    Zing!

  • you rock

  • No. You need to wear a wool sweater and boots with the fur when you install your computer parts. Now if you believed that then you fail horribly.

  • PEOPLE, LISTEN UP! When buying a processor, make sure which type your buying.

    1.OEM

    2.Retail

Note that the OEM version of a CPU DOES NOT come with a heatsink or cooling fan, YOU MUST BUY IT SEPERATLEY.

  • thats cute

  • Also a Tray (OEM) Version only got 1 Year garante, a Retail CPU got a 3 Years ;)

  • i love watching this over and over again

    thx

this one is the best out there

  • i got the 850w power supply by the same company for 170 bux, id jus go for that and be future proofed

  • EVERYONE!!!! listen to me!!! you NEED to use anti-static bracelets to make this or any computer!!!!!!

  • no you don't... but it is advised... you can just touch the pc case or ground yourself by touching a metal tap or somthing...

  • or stand bare feet on a wooden floor...

  • thats what i did lol... and had a buddie help me screw my mobo down

  • not really i didnt

  • Omg people. You dont need an antistatic wrist band. I've built dozens of computers for customers and I have never had a situation where static electricity damaged any of my parts.

  • The only reason I would wear an ESD strap is if I was building someone else a PC. Just to be safe. I have never needed one, and probably never will, until I zap something, lol. I keep a bare body part in the case whenever I'm working on a PC. Especially in the winter. Cold weather and black people equal two things, ashy skin, and static electricity, lol.

  • lol not ture just have no socks and on bare pavement gg?

  • if a case comes with a chassis fan, where do you connect the fan to? is it the mobo?

  • DUDE U ARE THE BEST!! THX U!:D

  • Does it matter whether you use a magnetic screwdriver or not? also how come theres no anti static wrist band thingy.. is that not a must?

  • The wrist band really is optional, i know many people who build computers without one.

  • You just need to occasionally ground yourself on the case, the case makes a ferraday cage and leaves the parts unharmed. If you have a strap, its usually grounded on your case anyhow.

  • go back to the hole you crawled out of.

  • you mug, 500W is more than enought taht pc!

  • so, i got 350 watt and it is powering my pc just fine

  • thanks bud =]

awesome help on all vids =]

  • wooooot it really helped me. Thx a lot for uploading

  • How do you test if the power supply is working before mounting it. Its a big hazzle to mount it and find out later it is not working.

  • buy a tester or there are two connectors you connect.i beleive its 4 and .if connected with a wire it will turn on.but go too google and just check to make sure im a lil rusty on that.

  • If you buy it new, chances are it works. I've bought POS power supplies that worked admirably for many years.

  • thanks great help

  • Thanks! Wow, i have the same case!!

  • lol nicely done oohhh wears step 2 ? humm pmfpl

  • well done
