  • Just a thought, maybe B-2 was flying a little bit far away because the B-2 crash accident in Guam in February?

  • It was more likely due to the fact that Andrews AFB is the home of the Presidential fleet, so there's a good chance that they were required to avoid flying over certain parts of the base. Perhaps they were being overly cautious about the flightpath.

This is the first time seeing the B-2 this year, so I don't know if other passes at other air shows were also far away.

  • they seem to keep the passes far away and top-out as opposed to topside towards the crowd at most shows. not sure why. but at Langley last year I believe it was, they turned it top towards the crowd.

  • Yeah! I went to the show at 17th. It was flying so far away, and my poor tiny cam couldn't get a tiny picture. Also, It went home just after 2 passes(if i remember correctly), even the commentator on the ground was trying to ask the pilot to do one more pass, but it never happen. The B-2 part of the show was really a big disappointment for me. :(

  • Was it me, or did they keep the B-2 well away from the crowd? The two passes were slightly anti-climactic due to its distance.

  • It did seem like the B-2 was pretty far in front of the crowd. It also looked like "show center" for the demo teams was actually slightly show-right, too.

  • The True Show center was to the right of the Redbull tent and VIP section. So yes it did seem like it was slightly right, but that was show center
