  • @Tre404 I did see VH-1's "Bands Reunited" (years ago) and of course, "UnSung" (2010). If I recall correctly Robbin Grider was not featured on "Bands Reunited". I wonder if that woman had/has a substance abuse problem. All of the other Klymaxx members still look presentable. Robbin, not so much...

  • dedicated to diwana, sanny boy.sandi marie and BIBOY!

  • love to sing this song to a lover i lost years ago due to my insecureties...

  • Joyce has one of those cute voices! Love it!

  • This song came out way after Klymaxx did meeting in the ladies room album. I remember being in San Francisco listening to this song. Howard Hewitt is an awesome singer!! Fenderalla is an amazing singer. She's great for the lead.

  • this song is pricelesssssssssssssssss

  • THANK YOU for posting this version. heard it once bout 100 years ago - ok I embellish - it just seems that long. needless to say, haven't heard it since. always loved this song but this extended version just makes my heart go 'yeah'. thanks again for sharing.

  • I love these ladies grew up listening to them... Songs that I will play 4 the rest of my life....

  • Awesum!!!

  • Without question, "I'd Still Say Yes" was Kymaxx's finest hour..........in my very humble opinion. I was not aware that Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds had ANYTHING to do with this song, but believe me......that explains A LOT! Just recently viewed TV-ONE's "UNSUNG" of Klymaxx, and apparently........there was a lot of "behind the scenes" drama with this group as there was with so many of my favorite's from "back in the day". Much appreciation to the up-loader of this special "Re-mix".

  • if you read the notes on their greatest hits, people were calling the radio stations asking if this was Michael Jackson. True story

  • @fitzgivesfits1 ... So I've heard!

  • @fitzgivesfits1 I always thought it was MJ when i it came out. but I was like 10 so...

  • @fitzgivesfits1

I'm thinking. He could have wrote it for & with Michael Jackson in mind.Maybe the connection was never made & figured that the song would also suit Ms.Joyce Irby because she could sing it in the same tone.I'm just playing with the idea : ) Because in the industry allot of songs are offered too & turned down by artist. Before it eventually lands in the lap of an artist who will record it.Allot of Hits get tossed around before finding a soul.

  • best version!

  • This is truly one of a kind!!!!

  • I Say Yes To This Old School Jam any day or night. This song will always be a Slow Jam Classic!!!

  • damn i love this song

  • Nice one! Say yes to u again... :)

  • For those who may not know 'Fenderella' was the nick name for Joyce Irby, the lead singer on this song and 'I Miss you'.

  • Still one of my favorites!

  • I also fel that Michael Jackson, should song this song too,and I think it would be cool on his thriller album too.

  • love this jam

  • mera cancion bueno recuerdos bonita balada americana

  • Lindy, today and everyday of my life, I,d Still say YES. I miss you more everyday, rip my angel.

  • Jody Watley shoulda sang this,...or Janet Jackson then it would have been a classic fuk song .I heard this in Barbados and all my old memories start coming back ..thanks and my dik got hard from me just thinking ! ! !

  • @glok9n ...dayum! lol!! ;)

  • @glok9n The right group sung this song. They did more damage to themselves then anything else did. In fighting and power struggles killed this group. They could have been much bigger then they were.

  • BABYFACE may have wrote this lovely shit but Howard Hewett sang the shit out this song ..the chic sound lame !

  • @nenaphillips .... thank YOU! :-) I love uploading songs (or versions of them) that aren't here already. I'm very glad you enjoyed it.

  • it would have been better without the guy singing. makes me think of late spring 1988 and where i used to work.

  • @The096757 ... You are most definitely in the minority in your opinion! LOL... "the guy".... :) Back to school, young'un...

  • OMG!!! THANK U SO MUCH FOR THIS MIX! I HAVE NEVER EVER HEARD THIS VERSION AND I AM A HUGE KLYMAXX FAN! THIS WILL BE MY NEW JAM FOR YEARS! I LOVE HOWARD HEWITT! TOO BAD HE'S STR8. (I THINK) LOL

  • @RAP1911 ... Glad you finally found this mix! And that I could make it happen! :-)

  • OOOOMMMMNGGGGGG I l ove this song i think I am gonna cry

  • Back in the days this song was the shit and it still is. The younger people just don't know what good music is.

  • @kmjonesful I think young people are learning what "good music" is, thanks to the internet and in some cases, their parents. Just because someone is young doesn't mean they have no knowledge of quality music. Look at the singer Adele. She's brilliant, and is only 23. Just because quality music is not massed produced doesn't mean people of all ages don't appreciate it.

  • Another classic written by Babyface

    What a shock!

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC babyface can write

  • @kmjonesful .... no doubt! I wonder how much of this song G.Scelsa and Fenderella actually wrote!

  • @BlackDynamiteNYC ... AND G. Scelsa and Fenderella.

  • Thanks for posting this song!

  • OMG!!! I love this song!

  • Beautiful. Thanks to EVERYONE involved and God bless. This is Klamaxx's swan song ( 1987).

  • @feetman2006 ... surely was.

  • oh what a beautiful music! so sweet to listen to! i've always loved this song ever since. and i love klymaxx!!!

  • I Wish I Had A Good Woman In My Life To DanceThis Song. And A Possible Proposal To This Song. Its So Beautiful.

  • awesome song , this is one of my favorite from klymaxx : )

  • What happened to music like this

  • Had this a long time ago but I lost it...Ordered a new 1 for x-mas...I love this song!!!!

  • I am 42 years old and this is the one song that keeps me young!

  • eu adorei essa música

  • Howard Hewitt made me like this song.

  • Howard Hewett does it for me, that's all i really can hear. All the high notes, underated brother.

  • Love this song ,and Howard hewett sounds so.....good with them.

  • Wow have not heard this in years, beautiful song...

  • I was very surprised when i found out Babyface wrote this lovely song!!!!

  • @sweetjannine ...well, yeah, he co-wrote it with two other people.

  • @Tre404 One of those co-writers was Joyce Fenderealla Irby who sing leads on this classic

  • @MUSICENCYLOPEDIA ... why are you telling me this? I noted Fenderella in the songwriting credits in the description!

  • @sweetjannine ... along with G. Scelsa, and Fenderella! Gotta give full credit!

  • @sweetjannine Babyface wrote this? Not surprised--but wow! I love him even more!

  • @tashahb79 ... Babyface CO-WROTE it... check my description.

  • @sweetjannine .... CO-wrote.

  • Comment removed

  • Tight work!!! This took me back!!!!!!

  • thanks for this song i remember who i was in love with when this song was big. sweet memories. but i have too say i so glad i said no. and followed the path destiny lead me own. but boy what great time i had with you in va.

  • I drove my mother CrAzY with this song. I would sing it every morning before I went to school and when I got home. LO!

  • Im from Manila and I love this song so much..it makes me feel 12yrs old again!! lol!

  • @basketball71211 ......spam? please verify.

  • i juz love this song

  • I love these ladies, but I have to say that Howard's contribution is what made this song so brilliant. Easily one of the most under-rated male vocalists of our time...he puts his stamp on this tune and it wouldn't be the same without him. His voice is so rich, his timing flawless. I'd pay a lot of cash to see them do this LIVE.

  • Oh wow, I can't believe I forgot about this song!!!! Sang it Joyce & Howard!!!!!

REAL Love Ballads, at its finest!!!! I just watched "Unsung" . Great story, It explained way more than "Bands Reunited" about their break up.

Its a shame how short-lived their music careers as a group were. They were very talented, all of them! However, as mentioned, EGO's get in the way.... They should have been bigger than they were!

Enjoyed it while it lasted :)

  • i want too still say yes rite now!!!!!!!!! my first love...oooh

  • the slick329....istill say yes only 1 person i'd say yes too

  • @TheSlick329 I FEEL THE SAME ID STILL SAY YES TO THAT SPECIAL 1

  • I loveeeeeeeeee this song!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish I can have a Klymaxx slow jam party and invite everyone here because I hardly find a Klymaxx fan from where I at.

That's the magic of ytube, it really brings people together.

  • @porkisgood4u ... Now, THAT would be a lot of fun! I have many of their songs on 12" vinyl as dance remixes from back in the day. That would be awesome! And after the Klymaxx music is exhausted, we could put on The Whispers, Shalamar, Lakeside, Dynasty... all those SOLAR artists.. :-)

  • @porkisgood4u This was big when I was just turning 17 in 1987 and was my high school me and my high school sweetheart's song.

Funny how a song can make you remember the good things about a person you have long since not thought highly of. lol

  • Tre404, you're awesome and have a taste of music, thank you.

  • @porkisgood4u ...thank you, and you are most welcome! And I love your username! LOL :-)

  • @lsouix1 .... I believe she was playing with "got." No harm, no foul.

  • Loved this song since I was a kid, I almost lost it when someone thought The Braxton's version was original!

  • @LexDuarte ....didn't know The Braxtons had done it too! I have Tamar's CD, but not the one with the three sisters...

  • reminds me of my days as the 'white' girl in those west-side of chicago r&b bands... one of the best times of my youth.... ya don't know how good things are til they're long gone...

  • @elihusmom ...sounds awesome :-) Any recordings survive of those good times?

  • @Tre404 i have a box of cassettes... scared to try em out.. they're probably no good. that was back in the day when a cassette and a 2" master was what you got...

at least i got some photos... crazy hair days!

  • @elihusmom... aw, don't be scurred... lol.. Pop those jokers in and reminisce! I could transfer them to CD for you, even. It isn't hard, I do it all the time. Which was your instrument? And how far did you get? How did you sound? I'm really curious now! :-)

  • gosh, i get goosebumps everytime she starts singing the chorus. a jam.

  • @weveseenit .... thought it was just me! :-) For me, the goosebumps begin at "...if I wanted love back agaaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnn..." .....love that!!

  • @Tre404 ;)

  • Yes this was during Girl Power.

  • i remember this song and i think i was a teenager and i had a crush on somebody and i liked this song even more. LOL

  • i still love this song

  • Def. a CLASSIC....

  • Yikes! Just found out the lead vocalist is female. Sorry! :}

  • Yep! Joyce "Fenderella" Irby. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Thanks. Saw a video of Klymaxx. She was indeed female. I'm so embarrassed. :}

  • This is so wonderful. Could anyone tell me the name of the lead vocalist? He sounds so much like Michael Jackson. Thanks for the post.

  • A classic 80's jam. Howard adds such a killer back-up vocal. It really takes me back. I once heard an 80 year old woman request this song for her recently deceased husband. Ouch. Why can't music be like this anymore?

  • Howard was bad, for sure! And that story... wow. Music can't be like this anymore because cultural tastes are so perverted and so far gone that nothing can save it. I wish a true revival COULD happen!

  • As long as we keep youtubing these hits the younger generation will catch on...no struggle no progress

  • @JHatch65 oh wow...now that's touching, about the 80 year old woman requesting this song for her recently deceased husband and it's an appropriate one too. this song brings back many a wonderful memory of summertime in chicago in the 80's back in the day when music was made and artists truly knew how to sing. it's a wonderful time in my life that i'd love to get back.

  • i subed u =]

  • thank ya! :)

  • Babyface wrote this

  • Actually, PhuckHue2, it was co-written by Babyface (credited as K. Edmonds), G. Scelsa, and Joyce Irby (credited as Fenderella).

  • what can i say hommie, you took me back.that's wuts up.

  • That's what it's all about, bruh. :)

  • Thanks for posting! This is a hard to find version for sure! Is there a link where I can download this version?
