@SuperFunnyDays because your router thingy doesnt work if it has an old date. like the other month i couldnt go on anything because i had my year on my ipod to 1970. so i changed it to 2011 and then my connection worked

Back in July I tried updating my ipod touch and it said an error like that but a day later it said that I had to pay $10 for the update. I officially had my ipod touch updated to 2.1 on November 2008 and currently it is on software 2.2.1

Yo , iv had my ipod for along time on 1.1.2 so i updated it 1.1.5, everything worked fine until a screen came up and said something about letting my ipod restart and it will on connect to itunes. the ipod restarted and it didnt connect to itunes so i unlocked my ipod and tried to go in to itunes and it just stops and takes me back to the home screen same thing happends when i click on the video and music icons, and now i cant restore it because it doesnt connect to itunes :(. This is why you should never upgrade through itunes, just google the firmware you want, download it and hold shift restore (or update) in itunes and find the .ipsw you downloaded and click it.

when i download the update for my ipod touch about halfway through it the download stops and says something like "There was a problem downloading......your internet connection has been reset." I don't really understand this because i can still visit websites without fail. Itunes is the only thing with a problem.
