@kajwilhelm Thanks Kaj, this is a Tama D-45 copy, it isn't even close to the sound of one of those, but is a character of it's own, and really a choice to play, when I am out of my mind in music..Jeff
So Now I shall progress through some of your recent uploads, (Lunchtime) I too am a fan of Neil Young. What I so enjoy about your performances is how you weave different themes of his style into what you play. Like, You only need to know it is Neil to know how he would play any piece. In this one I hear hammers like he did on Cinamon Girl and some of his other songs. And you can hit those high notes unique to Neil Young that would burst my blood vessels. Well Done Jeff.
Right to my faves...This is the season of the Buffalo Springfield revival and this is the best Iv'e seen so far. And this is not tit for tat from your flattering post- I don't do that. Closer shot next time please.
Yes Jeff I do play but too shy to upload ha ha, I'm a big Neil fan also Shawn Mullins among many others. There's not enough good feeling around I sometimes think, I currently have a Jeep zj Grand Cherokee but have had quite a few Aussie Mopars in the past....Peace.
You are right Jeff, time seems to have flown since Lennon died ~ being the anniversary of it, it brought it back where i was when it happened
He was a great loss to music ~ I wonder what classic he would have written ?
it's one of those terrible moments in history, like 9.11 ......when you always remember where you were.. (9.11 was The worst thing i have ever seen... by far !)
take care Jeff ~ All the very best to you friend ~ Geoff
Jeff well done ! I've watched many of your clips and you put such feeling into all that you do, that guitar really barks, I'm enchanted by it's sound and what you can get it to do...all the best to you man.
@fourocker Thanks Jeff, I really am addicted to youtube, and hearing cool things like your comment. It puts a good feeling into my head in this crazy, all too mixed up world. Do you play? I checked out your channel, and didn't see any uploads? Hey and I agree with the whole Mopar thing. My family and I have ran many of them for years.. This is my old Jap Tama d-45 copy. I play it now , and then, it doesn't have a solid top, so not too loud, but has a great feel, and sound. Jeff..
What i liked about it was the way you picked the notes out on the Guitar, for one and a half minutes, before you started singing, Then when you began to sing, you got totally lost in the song ! ~ It a bad song to sing this one....... cos it's like playing, and singing two different songs in one ! ~ And it's in such a high key ~ Even Neil struggle's with it !
It's one of my favourites, and I just liked the way you perfomed it Jeff !
@williheckaslike Thanks Geoff, This is one of those real great songs, that is easy to get lost in. I was only kidding about your comment, I am just amazed the response I've been getting on this.. That's all. Can You believe it's been thirty years without Lennon? I was only Ten when He was killed, but I was watching TV at the time, and it was breaking news I remember it well, I was pissed at the time because it interupted my cartoons.. Funny how that point of view has changed.
Superb job on this one Jeff ........ very well played, and sung ~ this must be on par with the original, as being The best version of this song on You Tube .......
What Great feeling, and soul you've put into this ~ Easily one of your best !
@williheckaslike When ever sombody pets me like that, Come on Geoff, I like this song, But the best? Shit I wasn't even gonna post it, I thought the singing was too bad.. Thanks man..
This is very beautiful Jeff!! Your emotional delivery in this song is absolutely incredible. I have never heard you sound more passionate about a song. Your falsetto is extreme in its sensitivity and you almost made me cry!! Wow. You are amazing, truly! Thanks for posting this gem. I love it! min :-)
@practicing4 Thanks min, but you are to generous with your comment, for I almost didn't post this, because of how hard it is to sing!! I guess i'm my worst critic.. That's why I learned the melody on the guitar, let it do the singing..
@1Jisom You really outdid yourself on this one, Jeff. So full of emotion. Wow. I love the quote by Jimmy Page who says that "passion, honesty and competency constitute musical heaven." You have demonstated that here, in heaps. More please? :-)
Thanks Paul, I can't wait to hear it.. From your neck of the woods, I've been working on some Damian Rice stuff, It is so Heart felt, and real. Lisa's Hot too.. He he..
Great Neil track, and sung with conviction. Love the melody sung with the guitar work. Nice job indeed Jeff. I have a Neil cover up my sleeve which I will do soon..
Just fantastic, man... you put so much emotion into this one, wow...
