  • This has to be the one of the greatest bands that most people have never heard of. I love their music.

  • This is awesome

  • This song is filled with life, what kind of guitar is the lead playing, man I want one of those, does anybody know what kind of guitar that lead is playing?

  • looks like a fender telecaster

  • Its amazing ? , whenever I want my ass kicked { when it comes to music } , I just log onto this song !!

  • yay! i got ragged on so bad for being a fan tee hee..

  • I know what you mean....in 1982-84 I was pushed around for being a fan of a band called U2. Funny thing is they're probably all fans now and I'm not.

  • man i loved this song... i still do :) its a fantastic sound with some very good guitar work.

  • wow great I havnet heard this in 20 years

  • love this janglepop sound!

  • this reminds me of my younger years

  • Such a beautiful song and video.

  • !! i forgot about this song! i used to loooooove it! yay for random youtube searches haha ;0P

  • Saw them in another lifetime twice in Washington DC...really its almost 20 years on. are they still playing?

  • Que rolisisisisima tan chida, me trae un chingo de recuerdos, esta la ponia en ese entonces una estación llamada Rock 101 desde la ciudad mas grande del mundo México city

  • A treasure of a song, along a sea of filth that strecthes in all directions.. thus it sparkles and shines, amidst there of.. and out and about and and across and back again.

  • I like very much this song, have a very nice memories. somebody know if they still making music

  • I'm looking for a cd in this album.I Hope someone can help me finding it...I love this song it reminds me of my college days back in the late 80's...thanks

  • I bought one off of ebay--paid for it and never got it! :(

  • My cassette album version of CERULEAN is yours for the price of postage - and insurance if you think it's necessary.

Exclusive offer open only to bunnEgirl, mates. Just because.

  • Consider it SOLD! Thanks! What a deal I am getting on it, too! LOL! You know it might be worth a bit on ebay...you sure you want to part with it?!

  • You know how it is - everybody's a connoisseur. Musical cassettes, in their minds, are obsolete technology hence far more trouble than they're worth. My 2nd-hand album that I bought for a Curtis Jackson (50 cent) at the lyeberry 2 1/2 years ago is sitting in a storage box somewhere so I might as well send it to someone who's really going to enjoy it and treasure it for as long as its primitive magnetic tape shall endure. My people will contact your people via standard backchannel communication.

  • are you kidding me? I have held on to some 8 track tapes! Now people say cds are nearly obsolete! I love my Ipod, dont't get me wrong, but downloads don't come with pictures of the band on 'em!

  • "Eye-pod"? Whazzat? Alvin Toffler wuz right; it's, like, deja vu on the future shock syndrome all over again. If only they hadn't back-engineered all that captured alien technology we'd still be mooning over the large color photos and reading and re-reading the extensive liner notes on the slipcases to our 12" by 12" LP albums. Those were the days.

  • AND I MISS THOSE DAYS! BRING back vinyl damn it! The only downside was the annoyance of changing the needle.

  • Good song, good band, 80's forever!!!!! Ballerina has a very good melody I love this music.

  • bien m asi son los mejores grupos q siga la musica buena m recuerda amis tiempos

  • I have decided that this is the greatest song of all time. Anyone who disagrees with me can kiss my grits!!! And Echo ain't got nuthin on Ocean Blue.

  • You might be right , this song wasa a big hit on a past new wave radio station back in 1989 . My girlfriend [ who is my wife now ] and me use sip on coffee and practicully dance in the car while driving along the beach highways out in long island [ ny ] to this song , back in '89' ---- Powerful song in relation to light houses and beach water the color of ' ocean blue ' !!

  • i would have to agree.

  • I love this band , they remind me of when I was younger and I would play them when I traveled, great music for the road big time.

  • I live close to where they're from in PA. Hadn't heard of them until now, I missed out on a lot of great bands growing up in the late 90's rather than the late 80's. Definitely evokes the Bunnymen!

  • What a great song! It would get any party going. Every flashback DJ knows this. Such an amazing group. Missed them by a day when they went to PERU a couple of years back.

  • solamente para la gente que sabe reconoser lo que es la verdadera musica

  • Saw them in concert circa 1991 at The Palace in Hollywood. John Wesley Harding and The Mighty Mighty Lemon Drops opened for them. I didn't care for Harding at all. Lemons were okay. The Blue tore up the house. Great show. After the show they were hanging out by their tour bus. Guess the were making themselves available for meeting of the fans. One of the guys, forget which one, not David but someone else was wearing his High School Letterman jacket. Very middle America the band.

  • yyyeeeeeaaaa

  • id rather say, they sound like the smiths..

  • Just before I read all of this first page of comments I too was comparing them to Echo... Funny, for a long time I thought this was another Brit-pop band. It will always be a great song.

  • Rolling Stone Mags review of this album was "Echoes of The Bunnymen" that was it...

Awesome band though...I saw them a lot in Philly when they first came out...

  • Please view all my video favorite and see how much I know my level. Dont get lost and miss out watching. Something for the young generation and who miss out.

  • Nice voice and sound view my video and favorite dont miss out like the rest. Learn somthing new every day.

  • Huge on college radio in Chicago early nineties...what memories!!!

  • GOD I saw them in orlando, florida back in 1992. I was in fucking college. I miss that, just makes me sad.

  • I love both bands, Echo is a bit edgier and the Ocean Blue more pop. I have seen Echo in concert but missed the Ocean Blue during the late 80's early 90's, too bad. Great music from the Ocean Blue.

  • Classic JONES beach tune from late 80's , real long island music !!!!

  • Excellent band....great song...better than echo and the bunnymen!!!

  • I like The Ocean Blue a lot, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Echo and the Bunnymen....nothing better than Heaven Up Here has ever been recorded.

  • ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN`s COPY

  • I kept waiting for the lead singer to sing: "Lips like sugar/ sugar kissing", especially after the solo they stole.

  • I saw them in open for the Psychedelic Furs in DC then by themselves in Georgetown about 18 years ago..another lifetime. Great music.

  • The Ocean Blue has got to be one of my fav all-time bands! They all look the same too! I saw them play in chicago about 3 years ago (or was it 4?) but David looks exactly the same as he did 18 years ago.

  • kinda has a nice sound..until they start signing

  • Esta rola ya forma parte de los clasicos de los 80s. "saludos desde Mexico" ROCK-101 FM

  • I try to listen to this song everyday>

If not at home I try at a local bar!!

  • this band is awesome!

  • oh man, this song...reminds me of the early college days... driving around with the top down, in a hurry to get nowhere, girlfriend's hair blowing in the wind...miss those days. Great Song!!

  • This is by far the best song but yeah the chili bowl haircut...Had one in 1988, and when did this song come out? At 1:46 really cool and at 2:11 I wish I could play that on the guitar.

  • heh, gotta luv the haircut. i absolutely love the simple but catchy guitar riff... & the solo is the best solo that Will Sergeant (of Echo & the Bunnymen, of course) never played ;-) it's really not that hard actually, but it's very cool!!

poster, thanks for posting this, never seen it!! only seen the video to "Sublime"

  • Nice bowl haircut.

  • This is a great song, and they did other great songs, so i don't understand why they didn't become more popular.

  • Thanks for the better sound! Love this album!

  • Hershey represent (well, Philadelphia, but they were buddies of mine and I like chocolate)

  • Great old band, wish they could have put more out.

  • I first heard these guys back in the early 90s and fell in love this group. This brings back some good memories.

  • Reminds me of hanging out in Philly during college. Great times....missing my roommate. Sge turned me onto them. saw them live in a little bar in Philly back in the late 80's

  • Oh my! This is simply wonderful to hear again! One of my favorite bands in high school! Thanks so much for posting this!

  • EXCELENTE, BUEN SONIDO

  • I still have a couple of their old albums on tape. Great band really. Quite obscure but brilliant nonetheless.

  • hermoso...

  • I listen to this song almost everyday. I really liked this when it came out and remember all the times hanging out at my friends house during college drinking talking about MR2 turbos, playing Goldeneye on the 64 and giving some girl the "L.D" ! (long dicking)

  • I wish this band did get popularity, it would have been easier to find, so many youths failed to find art like this.

  • I wonder what happened to them. I guess they're back in Hershey, PA ...

  • lol! hillierp, you reminded me of that show w/the mighty lemon drops in st. louis, we were throwing them(lemon drops) at the crowd, on stage, dancing our butts off. that was GREAT! <3

  • Been a fan since 1989 when this record came out. Seen them live in Detroit and East Lansing opening up for the Mighty Lemon Drops in 1990. All subsequent music just as dreamy and melodic. Like many other responses, excellent memories as an undergrad!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE The Ocean Blue! This brings back so many WONDERFUL memories! I wish, I was back in that era! Thank you for posting! All the BEST...

  • WLUW college radio Chicago lives on!!!

  • love this song/band. the singer looks like this kid i know

  • Listen to The Planetarium scene on the Cerulean album. It is the best!

  • BEYOND INCREDIBLE band, and sound!!! I hope they come out with an 'album' soon. I can't get enough of them!

  • This is by far their best song. I think. Great posting and thank you, good quality. But the singer is just goofy looking

  • Yeah, I like this band a lot. Someday I'll be an old granny but I'll still be rockin to this kind of music and telling my grandkids, "Listen up you whipper snappers, this is what good music is."

  • lol!

  • Great song-they really captured the late 80s sound with this one. It reminds me of all the cool college radio stuff that evetually got lost after the Seattle sound. Too bad, I miss jangly guitars and heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics.
