I think the real problem with the lightsaber fights is how quickly the jedi swing and how long they pause when they connect sabers. I know it's nitpicking but it doesn't seem as fluid as the fights in ROTS. Also, there is no suspense since we know how it ends with Grevious and Ventress.

@micahc6v8 That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that so many of these lightsaber duels are pointless. In the Original Trilogy, the fights were more about the characters and the emotions. You could feel the conflict and tension. Vader vs. his old master, father vs. son, Luke trying to turn his father back to the light, the Emperor trying to turn Luke to the dark side. That was what they were really about. In the prequels and TCW it's the complete opposite : (

Good commentary. I agree completely. I wish Greivous had ended up with the DNA because he could have created a bunch on infiltrators in the clone army. One thing I miss from the cartoon Clone Wars show was how tactical the clones were. In episdoe two this season they just stood out in the open shooting at the droids. They deserve to be shot if they're that stupid.

and durge. He defeated them both. I think the meeting was well done but is just another slap to the face of true fans.

Anyway as i said those 2 things really arent important. I thought the first episode was great. The second episode was also pretty good. I hope we see alot more of anakins dark side this season. One thing I really like was no ahsoka. She is a cool enough character, but as far as I am concerned anakin has no padawan.

@theblackfalcon6969 Great points! Why would Palpatine send droids to capture clone DNA that he's already in control of (as Chancellor). I hadn't even thought of that. Poor, sloppy writing is the only explanation, I guess.

I would say unoriginality. IDK if anyone else has noticed this, but all the current star wars stuff seems to take place on planets we have already seen. If u played the force unleashed u would have noticed this. the next force unleashed is also going to be on planets weve already seen. The clone wars has been able to include some fresh planets but they still cant break the habit of revisiting the same worlds over and over again.

@theblackfalcon6969 I don't know if I really have a problem with them revisiting planets from the films. It's nice to return to familiar places now and then.

Unoriginality definitely plagued the prequels, particularly AOTC. It tries so hard to be like the originals, yet fails in pretty much every way.

I wouldnt have a problem with them revisiting planets either, if the story would actually make sense that the planet be visited. If they are revisiting the planet just because they have seen it before then its pointless. A perfect example being Kamino. I saw absolutley no point in starkiller visiting Felucia, or to be more specific Shaak Ti being on Felucia. It just didnt make sense

@theblackfalcon6969 Agreed. Unless there is a REAL reason for visiting the planet (unless it movies the story along) then they have no reason to revisit it. Tatooine is a good example of this. Why did they have to revisit it in all three of the prequels? Why did Anakin have to live there? There wasn't a good reason for it.

I liked the premiere over all. There were 2 problems for me that really arent important given the nature of the show, but that still bug me.

1. Why were they attacking Kamino? Palpatine ordered the confeds to attack Kamino at the beginning of the war, but made sure they would lose. Thus forcing a long conflict. So y attack it again for DNA Palpatine already controls?!

2. This was not the first meeting of ventress and grevious. As part of grevious's training he was attacked by ventress

And I liked the training of Fives,Echo,Cutup,Droidbait and Hevy one of my fave episaodes is Rookies because the story of the "Shiny" clones in battle made it more interesting. And one thing I agree wityh you Anikan seemed more like Vader and the 501st in that Episode saying thell kill her. It would be cool if his shadow was Vader like in AOTC with thimp march in the backround lol i'm ramkbling to much XD great vid!

I loved the season start off it was great I love to see alot of action but their was some story what really touched me was when The clones need some help by having the clone cadet kids help them battle off the droids and they stand victorious that was a great feeling also Sergent Bric was my fav character out off the whole thing because he reminded me of a cad bane clone cadet trainer in a way plus I loved how they proved him wrong I cant wait to get the figure in my hands great video marty.....

well you know its more child based, i truthfuly like the micro series... and marty we must remember it is the clone WARS lol =] i actuallt thought it was a great opening episode, we saw something weve never seen before, the clone training base but i also think it was kind of odd that the first episode was back like before season one but over all i liked it... watch my vid over it and youll know why

@JediMaster738 I'm someone who thinks that if a show/movie is made correctly, it can appeal to people of ALL ages. Dumbing TV shows down for kids (I'm not saying they're doing that with this show) and adding tons of mindlesss action is just stupid.

Like I said, I really enjoyed the first episode! The second one is the one I have some problems with.

And yeah, I like the microseries the best too. It has more substance and better animation, but CGI style of this show is admittedly growing on me.

@JediMaster738 To add to my other comment, the fact that this show takes place during a war should make no difference. The Original Trilogy was set during the Galactic Civil War but they still managed to create a wonderful story and some truly memorable characters! And I don't have a problem with action, just so long as there is a good reason for it.

Gosh, I feel like I'm writing an entire essay with all these long comments :D

The show is going to have tons of action.....it's based on a War...the action is what makes the show shine the most....completely badass show...can't wait for Season 2 box set on Blu-Ray.

@tylerman39 The Original Trilogy is the best by far, but I respect your opinion. That's one of the great things about Star Wars. It can appeal to lots of people in lots of different ways : )
