Meanwhile, Emily makes her college choice and decides to follow her brother, Patrick, Jr., to the University of Denver.
"Decision" Patrick is offered the post of U.S. Ambassador to Moldavia, but turns it down because of his commitments to Denver-Carrington and to the family. Out of concern for her daughter, Fallon goes to Patrick and asks him to have Smitty run a check on Kirk Van Doorn. Patrick readily agrees. Steven has a breakthrough in his negotiations with environmentalists over the oil pipeline. Adam is given another chance as he travels to Libya with Jeff and Patrick to meet with the new government.

Meanwhile, Lauren Colby is romantically pursued by wealthy financier, Kirk VanDoorn (guest star Ashton Kutcher), son of sworn Denver-Carrington enemy, Jeremy Van Doorn.
"Hail Moldavia!" Atter Michael's death, the dictatorship in Moldavia collapses. Large deposits of lead and other precious metals are discovered in the Moldavian Highlands and Denver-Carrington is invited to engage in lead mining in Modavia by the new government, which is now a democratic republic with Elena, the former Duchess of Branagh (guest star Kerry Armstrong) inaugurated as its new President.
@30dizzy34 Hey that's a great idea. Did you know that Kerry Armstrong was also on the Australian Drama Prisoner Cell Block H. Her character got sent to Prison for 10 Years for the Kidnapping and Attempted Murder of a Baby in her care. She didn't do it but the inmates made her life a living hell

He is spared punishment when Jeff and Patrick agree that punishing Adam would dishonor Blake's memory. Krystle comes from Florida to visit her grandchildren. Alexis creates a scandal when she has information about the Top Secret rescue mission printed in the Denver Mirror despite Jeff and Patrick's efforts to keep the mission a secret.

Patrick sides with Jeff. The battle results from Adam getting upset over being left out of the Fort MacMurray Oil Sands negotiations, which are being handled by Jeff (the CEO), L.B. (the financial whiz), Patrick (the lobbyist), and Leslie (the geologist). Patrick, Jr. goes along as an intern.
Opening Episode: "Farewell, Blake Carrington". The clan deals with Blake Carrington's death and holds a "Meet and Greet" at Coors' Field to fund a new Blake Carrington Memorial Wing at Cheney Hospital. Baseball Hall-of-Famers Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, and Ozzie Smith play themselves. Perfect for Alyssa Milano (Jacklyn Forest) - a baseball fan in real life. The Dodgers are her team. She has dated pitchers Carl Pavano, Brad Penny (who made her wear his jersey in bed), and Barry Zito.
@LODEWIJKTHE14 Add the Patrick Jennings storyline (check out my submissions, especially the background material on Patrick) and the intrigue involving the Forests and you've got the makings of a really good series. It was suggested that the Forests wrested control of Colbyco from Alexis, but paid her off rather handsomely. The Forests are taking aim at Denver-Carrington, but they are rebuffed at every turn by politically-savvy Patrick
Another plot idea. Bring Terri Garber back as Leslie Carrington. Have her married to Patrick Jennings, the son Krystle never knew she had. Patrick would be the innocent pawn in a baby switching scheme perpetrated by Krystle's brother-in-law Frank Dean as a way to replace the son that he and Krystle's sister, Iris actually lost. So, the son that Krystle and Mark thought was dead is, in fact, alive. It's Iris and Frank's son that was stillborn.
The daughter of Adam and Kirby actually died in 1984. Adam and Kirby did get back together during "Dynasty the Reunion" (though, I think Dana Waring [Leann Hunley] would have been the better choice. If Blakesley Carrington were to be the daughter of Adam and Kirby, she would have to have been born sometime after "Dynasty the Reunion", which would make her about 19 or 20. I still think Hayden Panettiere is all wrong as Krystina. Marcy Rylan's the right choice.

@good ideas on the next generstion of dynasty as far as the storylines you have came up with yet i would pull shades at the end of the first season a character comes in into play as far as like the grand niece or nephew of diane carols charcter comes into the scene and as a actor or actress to play that role well a unknown person even better
@EveDonovan Adam DID have a son with Karen Atkinson (Stephanie Dunham from "Emerald Point NAS"). The son did live. However, Karen, who had contracted to be a surrogate for Adam and Dana, chickened out of her surrogate contract and got back with her ex-husband Jesse whereupon she and Jesse kept the child. Check out my ideas for the Patrick Jennings character. If this would have become a real series, i would rather have Gordon Thomson as Adam. Robin Sachs sucked in "Dynasty the Reunion".

Gibson was always one to play lawyers and political types. I developed Patrick to be a Lobbyist. I liked the Leslie character. I thought she left Denver under terrible circumstances. I think it would nice for her to have a shot at redemption and be happy again. That's why she's married to Patrick.
I think TG is perfect! And that Krystal had a child is an awesome idea! Perhaps Mark Jennings would be his father? Or Maybe Matthew Blaisdel? Or someone new from Krystal's past. I used to watch DAYS when KS and FF were on it and i always LOVED Farah. But for some reason in my head i picture KS as Krystina Carrington. Maybe due to the fact that Jessica Player and Kirsten Storms look similar. And with Leslie, she just sorta vanished after Matthew was killed, she didnt even say bye.
@EveDonovan The idea is for Mark Jennings to be his father. His name is Patrick Jennings. Leslie left when she found out Clay Falmont was her half brother. Patrick is the innocent victim of a baby switch in a Dayton, OH hospital. Krystle and her emotionally fragile sister, Iris Dean go into labor at the same time. Iris' husband Frank switches the babies. It's Iris' baby that actually dies. Frank fesses up to Patrick before Frank dies in 1987. Patrick reveals himself to Krystle in 1991.
Ohh thats right, i had forgotten that Clay and Leslie got together after Clay and Sammy Jo divorced! And another thing i remembered was Dana and Adam were expecting when they were in high school, and Dana had an abortion See how many things we forget!!

Patrick takes so long to reveal himself to Krystal because he has graduated from Georgetown University and completed a six-year active duty obligation as a U.S. Naval officer. He comes to Denver in 1991 and Krystle submits to a DNA test and is proved to be his mother. Blake then accepts him as his stepson and hires him as a lobbyist at Denver-Carrington. Shortly thereafter, he meets Leslie.
WHat were the behind the scenes drama regarding Pamela Bellwood's exit? As i recall, the show was upset with her for getting pregnant in real life, after they told her not to, and then they killed off Claudia as a result?
@EveDonovan I know that a pregnancy was involved, but I'm not sure as to whether or not Pamela was fired or if it was a mutual decision between her and the producers. Patrick's name is legally changed to Patrick Carrington Jennings in 1992 - a wedding present from Blake upon Patrick's marriage to Leslie. Patrick and Leslie end up having two children - Patrick, Jr. (Dyllan Christopher) and Emily (Gina Mantegna - daughter of Thomas Gibson's "Criminal Minds" co-star, Joe Mantegna)
This is the BEST Next Generation "opening" OF THEM ALL. The casting choices for the younger actors was perfect and they are all just about the right age for their "roles". Too bad something like this wasn't made for real before John Forsythe's death. He would have been great as aged family patriarch, Blake Carrington, trying to keep the generations together and the family from tearing each apart. A little more background on the mannings and the Forests would be good.
WOW! EPIC, to say the least. The casting of the youngsters was intriguing, like Jacob Young and Josh Henderson. Two of my faves! And the image of Joan Collins with a Champagne Glass at the end was THE perfect touch!

Similar to the "Carousel" episode that aired in 1985, it could be a "meet and greet" at the Denver-Carrington luxury box at Coors Field with Baeball Hall-of-Famers, Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, and Ozzie Smith playing themselves.

You know what also would have been good, to have Dominique Devereaux's Granddaughter be named Keisha and have her be plaeyd by Karla Mosely (Ex-Christina Guiding Light), and have Lawrence St. Victor as her Husband. All actors became older - except Joan Collins. How is this possible? Is she a magician, a wizard? Or is it excellent makeup and corsetry? Guess I know the answer. Nevertheless, I like her and all the other old friends I've known for more than 25 years now.
Well... those actors you choose, arent right, too many soap opra from World as turns,Days of Our Lives etc. Needs someone that we not know well that would be better, just want the show less Hollywood thing, that's my opinion.

@good ideas on the next generstion of dynasty as far as the storylines you have came up with yet i would pull shades at the end of the first season a character comes in into play as far as like the grand niece or nephew of diane carols charcter comes into the scene and as a actor or actress to play that role well a unknown person even better

@EveDonovan Adam DID have a son with Karen Atkinson (Stephanie Dunham from "Emerald Point NAS"). The son did live. However, Karen, who had contracted to be a surrogate for Adam and Dana, chickened out of her surrogate contract and got back with her ex-husband Jesse whereupon she and Jesse kept the child. Check out my ideas for the Patrick Jennings character. If this would have become a real series, i would rather have Gordon Thomson as Adam. Robin Sachs sucked in "Dynasty the Reunion".

@EveDonovan I thought the baby died because it was to weak to make it. By the way, what do u think of Thomas Gibson ("Dharma & Greg", "Criminal Minds") to play Krystle's long lost son Patrick? Gibson was always one to play lawyers and political types. I developed Patrick to be a Lobbyist. I liked the Leslie character. I thought she left Denver under terrible circumstances. I think it would nice for her to have a shot at redemption and be happy again. That's why she's married to Patrick.

I think TG is perfect! And that Krystal had a child is an awesome idea! Perhaps Mark Jennings would be his father? Or Maybe Matthew Blaisdel? Or someone new from Krystal's past. I used to watch DAYS when KS and FF were on it and i always LOVED Farah. But for some reason in my head i picture KS as Krystina Carrington. Maybe due to the fact that Jessica Player and Kirsten Storms look similar. And with Leslie, she just sorta vanished after Matthew was killed, she didnt even say bye.

@EveDonovan The idea is for Mark Jennings to be his father. His name is Patrick Jennings. Leslie left when she found out Clay Falmont was her half brother. Patrick is the innocent victim of a baby switch in a Dayton, OH hospital. Krystle and her emotionally fragile sister, Iris Dean go into labor at the same time. Iris' husband Frank switches the babies. It's Iris' baby that actually dies. Frank fesses up to Patrick before Frank dies in 1987. Patrick reveals himself to Krystle in 1991.

Patrick takes so long to reveal himself to Krystal because he has graduated from Georgetown University and completed a six-year active duty obligation as a U.S. Naval officer. He comes to Denver in 1991 and Krystle submits to a DNA test and is proved to be his mother. Blake then accepts him as his stepson and hires him as a lobbyist at Denver-Carrington. Shortly thereafter, he meets Leslie.

@EveDonovan I know that a pregnancy was involved, but I'm not sure as to whether or not Pamela was fired or if it was a mutual decision between her and the producers. Patrick's name is legally changed to Patrick Carrington Jennings in 1992 - a wedding present from Blake upon Patrick's marriage to Leslie. Patrick and Leslie end up having two children - Patrick, Jr. (Dyllan Christopher) and Emily (Gina Mantegna - daughter of Thomas Gibson's "Criminal Minds" co-star, Joe Mantegna)

This is the BEST Next Generation "opening" OF THEM ALL. The casting choices for the younger actors was perfect and they are all just about the right age for their "roles". Too bad something like this wasn't made for real before John Forsythe's death. He would have been great as aged family patriarch, Blake Carrington, trying to keep the generations together and the family from tearing each apart. A little more background on the mannings and the Forests would be good.

WOW! EPIC, to say the least. The casting of the youngsters was intriguing, like Jacob Young and Josh Henderson. Two of my faves! And the image of Joan Collins with a Champagne Glass at the end was THE perfect touch!

@etothedubl Check out my ideas for developing the Patrick Jenning character. One episode could invlove drilling rights in Canada. Another episode could deal with Blake's death and the funding of a Blake Carrington Memorial Wing at Cheney Hospital. Similar to the "Carousel" episode that aired in 1985, it could be a "meet and greet" at the Denver-Carrington luxury box at Coors Field with Baeball Hall-of-Famers, Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, and Ozzie Smith playing themselves.

Keesha wants to be acknowledged as a Carrington while her Husband Brandon tells her not to obsess over "those" people.

All actors became older - except Joan Collins. How is this possible? Is she a magician, a wizard? Or is it excellent makeup and corsetry? Guess I know the answer. Nevertheless, I like her and all the other old friends I've known for more than 25 years now.
