I had the same problem but I tried a few these different tips and it finally wooorkeeeeeeeeeed!!

- Open task manager while redsnow is running, right click it, click set to affinity and set it to CPU 1 only.

- If this doesnt work for you cause it didnt for me, try moving the firmware file to a different location on your c-drive.

@BakeTHATCAAKE no, you must rejailbreak every time a new firmware is out. You should restore to 4.3.1 before rejailbreaking. (you're not suppose to update to an official firmware while being jailbroken)

@xBadElfx carrier doesnt mind JB (unless youre using tethering without a plan, they'll just give you a warning not to use it) going to cydia and downloading stuff on wifi is free, but if u use 3G to download it'll count towards data.
