  • amazing how fast this is compared to the old days

  • What are you doing with the tree tops? Is it waste? I sell them for 30$ m3 to cellulose!

  • the hardwood tops we pile them up with the delimber for the chipper..and the softwood tops they use in the trails or we'll make a pile of softwood tops and brush if they dont use it in the trail...

  • quick clean work... nice vid..

    jesus saves

  • little tipp no offence or anything but put a song on there more veiws i find

  • never ran one but here a log loader

  • damn skidders ralways in the way lol i ran a 1990 410 prentice truck mount w/ a propac long boom and scissor top for 8 yrs doing softwood.and a 2002 410 prentice truck mount w/ propac long boom w/ chainsaw head. we piled the tops for biomass thoug. i cut wood now and we have a cat320 w/ saw head.

  • i think once this gets in your blood there is no getting it out

  • How effective would this machine be to use on a bench and retrieve fallen timber down a steep slope ? In this area , sometimes its so steep , it looks like to me one of these machines would be the ticket , I've been told they weren't made for that , but it looks like to me it would work.

  • ya this machine has a good reach.. theres times the feller buncher or the skidder cant get fallen trees off the side of the road and i can reach it better...on a steep slope usually we use a cable skidder...he'll stay at a good spot and could winch the tree up..that would work..

  • you get a break on workers comp rates here for full mechanized crews , so i'm looking into ways to accomplish that .. i've logged with dozers using a winch ,, and skiidders , i want to be "all weather" too

  • thats whats nice about these machines you can work in any weather...but you have to have the right machine for the right job...

  • same machine as my dad

  • Fantastic maschine. And great operator i think. Nice vid

  • how much does 1 o those machines cost and how do u charge for the work?hourly ?

  • That wasnt by any chance be in maine would it? I have been around a few other set ups and you cant beat a pro pac set up, with a little tweaking they are a good machine, im not a fan of the denharco i have yarded under them before and they worked really slow, im a truck driver now so i dont deal with the in woods operation any longer

  • yup this is done in northern maine...

  • Mm yes, also on propac.. Dennis really perfected the design, and propac followed, but dennis sued them so they just ran the cable through a hole and like you said the cables anchor to the head.

  • i miss running delimbers...used a limmit 2000 and limmit 2200... i moved a bit faster then this dude, but thats how i worked myself out of a job

  • So.. You went so fast they fired you..?

  • lol no i wasnt fired we ran out of work

  • Oh alright lol..

  • only thing i ever broke was a chunk of threaded rod at the end of one of the booms cables... easy fix

  • You mean a bolt..? Limmit's aren't too common here.. It's mostly all propac.

  • no not a bolt...on a lim-mit 2200 boom there is 2 cables running up the boom, i had a log hit a cable and it snapped the threaded rod aka ready rod (about ft long) that anchors the cable to the end of the boom...look it up

  • ya those threaded rods break unexpectedly, u never know...whenever you break one look at where it broke sometimes you can see that it had been cracked for sometime...actually i just had one break this week just cleaning the road u never know...

  • yes, the rod i had replaced was kinda rusted halfway thru like it had been cracked...my boss told me that was minor...my worse fear was taking out a saw blade

  • ya this machine here had a circular saw but we had it changed to the bar and chain...we never have trouble with it...this machine here is a pretty much stock settings, we had it turned up but the propac head couldnt handle it...

  • Gota couple vids. Cousin is running skidder and recording my limber. He keeps moving so it's hard to see how fast mine is.

  • I'll get some vids of my Daewoo with Limmit 2100. Big, fast, and paid for. Haven't had it long. 2001 Solar model. Got XM too...

  • ya its nice to see different types of delimbers and see how they work...

  • Ill get a video of my linkbelt on here soon youl see some real production, its a 02 210LX has a pro-pac hardwoods body and all the bells and whistles even got xm radio, isuzu motor exellent on fuel starts noshit 30 below without being pluged in

  • OK, quit running youre mouth and put a video if that linkbelt is faster...this propac pretty much for hardwood and softwood with extended grab arms and a bigger staffa motor..and it does have xm and sirius...and it has a Cat motor starts every time 30 below dont bother..and we never had to plug in our machines

  • I would bury you with my Linkbelt 210LX with a 453 and I haven't had the spools turned down yet, if you know what that is...

  • lame ass Sumitomo would'nt even come close to this Cat!

  • ya i know, lol linkbelt...

  • pretty smooth put on some more footage.I run a delimber and i learned a few tricks just in that little bit. smooth operator!!!fast too.

  • What's the name of your company because we have a camp in rockwood and I just was on the Golden Road and Telos Road near there just the other day.

You Should post more videos of your equipment because I enjoy watching it. Thanks

  • Was this video taken in northern Maine?

  • This was taken right off the pinkam rd. at mile 51 next to carpenter pond...we work alot in that area near chamberlain lake...

  • how is he getting a meauserment when he s running it in the tunnel like that?

  • this machine here dont have a measuring system..we dont need it..some do though...the only measuring we is for 16 foot logs..once in a while you'll notice a bright orange mark on the boom...

  • you wish a pro pac was that fast

  • nice michine come delime my wood
