And I think you have to pick certain characters to duck outside career mode. Either way this game is so unfinished. I have the japanese version and funny thing is that in the debug you can get rid of the blood, but no options in the menu so wtf?

Actually in career mode some of the stages just have no gui as the missions, all of which have no mission descriptions.

Bloody Roar 1 = Nice

Bloody Roar 2 = The Best

Bloody Roar 3 = Not bad, but not as awesome as BR2

Bloody Roar 4 = A piece of crap

So Bloody Roar 2 is clearly the Best (in my oppinion) and Bloody Roar 4 is by far the worst.

1=tylon messing with experiments on them

2=Shenlong beind used by Buszima for a new corperation of some sort that does more or less the same thing.

3=The Xgnome incident and the Tablet/Crest/Stone Seal causing hyper form and beasts to go crazy.

PF/Extreme=Tekken but with a Zoanthrope kingomd thrown in and trying to end conflicts.

4=Hippie gaia stuff that makes me gag

Very entertaining review. I'm a new fan of the Bloody Roar franchise and currently have BR3 and BR4. BR2 is next. I understand what you mean. Hudson just put this together without wondering how the fans will react. BR4 is an all out brawl with no strategy. This game is fun is you just want to beat the crap out of friends. Now, Hudson was creative in making a fighter that characters can change into beasts. For that I'll always be a fan. Keep up the good work!

I first played Primal Fury, then 3 then 4. Now recently got 2. 2 was kinda boring, 4 I liked at first but later realised after awhile I liked PF better..so since I own an XBOX I'm getting Extreme (the Xbox version of PF)

Now I don't have and XBOX but I heard Extreme is a lot like BR3 but it has those CG endings and has extra characters. Even though these games never got as popular as some other fighting games, I'm still a fan of the franchise. If they come out with another Bloody Roar title, I'll get it. If it's on the new systems, guess I'll get the new systems too. LOL!

Yeah, they were going to make a BR5 but the way BR4 did lead to it being canceled. And Extreme/PF i(on XBOX and Gamecube..basically same game) simlair but quite dif to BR3..cuz its the next game in the series after it.

BTW: agreed on the audio with the reivewer. Bad acting and the music doesn't fit though I do like it..

I like primal fury better than extreme. I mean they are the same game but pf had the anime seens that won. Extreme tried to make those scenes all in 3d and it just didn't look as good. Gameplay wise though it's the same exact game. I liked 2 but then I had the luxury of playing it back when it came out so it left a better impression.

I actually like the music in this game (even if it's not as good as in the previous installments), and don't see the point of the sidestepping method since the AI is easy enough to beat anyway, but otherwise, I agree with pretty much everything said here. The voice-acting is the worst I've ever heard.

Lawl, the BGM for Huge Sewer was one of my favorites in BR4...actually it's my only favorite song in BR4. xD I agree that the previous soundtracks were a lot better. My favorite being Freeway from Primal Fury.

I used to play these games a lot back in the PS era and luckily I have only played up to Bloody Roar 3. This review was very helpful and informative before making the purchase of this game.

The funny part was when you were talking about the British accent and then how the scene quickly changed into the pervert chasing the girl.

i miss the days of BR2 when you had awesome costume variations, rockin' music, and a killer story mode. BR3 was just okay for me and both PF and 3 had good gameplay (with PF in the lead for graphics).

thank you for making and posting this review. BR4 breaks my heart. they should have kept the rock sound they had in 2 and a few tracks in 3, and they definitely should have kept the voice actors from Primal Fury. Jennifer Hale was a prime Alice AND Uriko AND Shina.
