  • "That's because I rock" :)

  • Great shooting, that wind sure was working against you..

  • Love it! Gray hair Brother Shooter Rock'n OUT!

Man has never gone over 18 years old???

Thanks for the video and great shooting and tuning!

  • @SteelBustingBiker

    Thanks ,,,, I think LOL

  • You rock dude!

  • What is the purpose of the harmonic dampener? I've read a few articles that claim that it gives increased MOA capability, but how does it make the weapon more accurate if not just for the added barrel length?

Also, is it possible to combine this with a muzzle brake/flash suppressor?

  • @porrsmurfen

It tunes out the harmonic of the barrel for a given ammunition. Usually you have to select factory ammunition or hand-load it to what the rifle likes. In this case you pick the ammo and tune the rifle to the ammo. Very sweet if you do not hand-load. Tune it and just always shoot the same ammo. It also does not add to the barrel length. This rifle does not have provisions for a muzzle break or flash suppressor.

  • Very Nice. Looking forward to picking one of these up in the near future. Care to dial it in for me? :)

  • @dougefreshMS6 If you got the money and ammo I got the time

  • @PaulsWackyWorld

I will, but not for a spell. I'll get in touch with you when the time is right. Great job with the sighting the rifle, the vid, and the shots! Thanks for posting this and keep up the great work!

  • What does it shoot like with the dampener taken off? Still better than the ranch model?

  • Who would do that ? I have no idea.

  • Till this one, I agree. I love that rifle.

  • What is it with all these guys saying the mini has accuracy problems when I watch video after video of guys knocking the eyes out of targets with them. They aren't competition rifles and were never designed as such.

  • This one is

  • @PaulsWackyWorld Finally, someone that is capable of shooting as tight as a group as the rifle can. A fine example for all of the other You Tube shooter hacks/lousy marksmen to go by. Nicely done.

  • @PaulsWackyWorld What Brand of Ammo do you use?

  • Nice shooting, great video!!!

  • Hi..

What scope you have on there...?

    Dirk

  • Nice shootin', Tex!

  • I need some info. Not sure if you can provide it, but here goes. Im looking at buying a JAE 100 G2 stock for the M1A, but heres the thing, I want to mount the JAE on a mini 14. I know the mini suffers accuracy problems, but I want to anyways for fun. The info I need is, is the receiver of the M1A the the same size and shape as the mini?

  • hey Paul:

How do you clean your Bore with this M14 puppy? Is there a Bore guide for the muzzle? I hate snakes and I like to use a Coated Dewy rod. I carefully ran some patches through the front but I don't like doing that. What do you do? Or have U cleaned this one?

The barrel's machined steel is nice and hardened but I just don't like going through the front.

Sorry I ask too much questions. Rugar will not sell that stock to CA either! But I found a same wood finish thumb hole thats close!

  • Caution ! I think the reds in The Republic consider the thumb hole stock the same as a pistol grip. Ask some Cal expert what’s the legal combinations in the state ? I think it would be illegal on that gun, but I am no California expert.

  • @PaulsWackyWorld Yeah...but those Reds are actually "Blues" Democrats that would rather arrest a rifle as opposed to the trigger man. Im surprised they haven't tried to ban Screw Drivers or Thumb Tacks or super glue. ;p)

  • @AldridgeHalenFreak i couldn't agree more hahaha

  • @PaulsWackyWorld thumbhole is not considered the same as a pistol grip in cal just fyi

  • Im ordering one of these! I also like my Stag AR but this will be another cool Coyote rifle! So what weight bullets were using and what wa the final harmonic adjustment with it? Did you try different bullets during the different groups upon dialing that puppy in?

    "Nice Shooting too Paul!"

  • Cheap Remington bulk pack 55gr FMJ with 23.5gr of H4895 and a winchester primer, cuz thats what I had. It ended up about 2 1/2 +RCH turns in.

  • @PaulsWackyWorld Yeah...that video you did is a real kick in the ass! I ordered one. Rugar will not sell me that rifle with that wooden stock you have in California!! But I found a Tundra custom Lefty that is very close in design and is the same color.

it will be my other Coyote gun next to my Stag AR and my Savage 10.

Your video is very cool. Did you start it all with a laser bore sight?

  • @PaulsWackyWorld Thanks Paul. I just got mine. Im going to lap these rings. Im a bit tripping on the rings. At first they didn't go on straight due to some real fine machine burs in those pockets. Now they look straight but I want to lap em before I drop my VX3 Leupold in that puppy. When you say 2 1/2 +RHC... what it "RHC"? Excuse my ignorance. the rugar manual does not mention much on adjustment for the front end of this thing. And I will be using 40grain light bullets for now.

  • It's RCH = R ed C unt H air LOL

  • @PaulsWackyWorld ;p)

The ole Red Cunt Hair trick eh? ;p()

Three turns in...two in the same hole...Might be you?

    You lucky guy!

  • @AldridgeHalenFreak -Paul your the Best little rock picker I ever did see! Hee Hee

  • These should be in the hands of US armed Forces and to hell with winning over their hearts and minds..put a bullet through the Hadji's heads and their hearts are unimportant...shoot well my brothers...

  • Holy Mini Sniper rifle! Fuck a nutsack!

  • That’s exactly what I thought ,,, but was afraid to say it !

  • sholud i sight the gun in first or the harmonic damper first at the range?

  • 1) Get it dialed in pretty close with the scope 2) go for the harmonic dampener for the tightest group. 3) then back to the scope to put it on target.

  • The Mini is so under rated. They're really a lot of fun, I can't believe Ruger pulled the target model off so well. My GB shoots 2 MOA and I'm very happy with it, it shoots a lot better than I do, but I might have to invest in a second rifle if I can get those kind of groups at 300 yards.

  • I also own one of these amazing mini's. I just added a harris bipod which makes a world of difference in the field. Also i found that any brand of ammo shoots well through it, however i found that a full metal jacket (55gr) bullet gave me a better grouping compared to a soft point or plastic tipped bullets. I think that is because of nicking when the round is fed into the breach.

    hope this helps everyone

  • Thanks, I have that mini on order,

    you made my day!

  • What projectile were you using? I have the same rifle..

  • The cheap bulk pack of Remington or Winchester in 55gr.

  • Thanks for your reply Paul. How do you prevent the harmonic dampener from coming loose? Mine seems to be always comes loose after 20 rounds no mater how much I tighten it. Cheers, Chris

  • should i get this or ruger's m77 mark2

  • I like the mini but would recommend getting 1 each.

  • I have both a M77 and a Mini-14. The Mini is more fun to shoot and is pretty accurate out of the box. The M77 is more accurate. I suppose it depends on what you are planning to do with it.

  • did he say what brand of ammo he used

  • I own a older Mini that my dad handed down to me, and i but purchased the new 2009 Mini 14 Tactical. I love them both but the new is far superior to the old. I think though i would rather get a .22-250 for varmit and a AR15 for long range accurate shots for protection. just an opinion

  • figures that the only time you mention the wind it starts to pick up. seems like its that way for me atleast. it can be nice and calm all day then the second i load up my guns to go out the wind starts to howl.

  • Sweet..Coyote heaven is gonna be gettin full.

  • Head shots only to almost make it sporting,, LOL

  • That's one of the best shooting min'es Ive seen. I had a stainless mod but it would not shoot nowhere that good. So I sold it. My 22 Ruger shoots fine thou.

  • Thanks for the vid. I just bought one yesterday. Also love the fact that it shoots this well without a $300 scope and ammo that that is AFFORDABLE.

  • Neat rifle.

I still love my open sighted, 80's era Mini 14 though.

They share the same name, but the two rifles have completely different roles, IMO.

  • I love my old MINI -14 see my 300 yard video. This is a very different Mini, it's like a max mini ? or something LOL I want one---- BAD !

    Thanks for the comment !

  • Great Video !

  • I just bought the mini-14 target rifle. It came with scope rings for 1" scope. I bought a 30mm scope and cannot find rings to fit.... any help would be appreciated!

  • Good job buddy. I was very happy to see this video. I love my mini too.

  • I have a mini and I love it. I haven't done anything to mine and it shoots remarkably well. Mine is the one made after the problems were sorted out with the barrel and accuracy. I love my mini and if anyone wants to see a video of me grouping 1" from 100yrds. let me know and I will make a believer out of any doubter!

  • this video helped me decide to spend the cash and get this gun. i added a Carl Zeiss 3.5 - 10 x44 scope and took it to the range yesterday. immediatley, the range officer wanted to kick me off the 100yd range and send me to the 50 yd line since he was convinced a mini 14 wouldn't hit the paper out of the box... he was quite suprised 30 rounds in when i was shooting 1" groups off of the crappy bean bags supplied there. I haven't adjusted the dampner yet and and this rifle shoots amazingly well

  • @1614nevada what ammo do you use for the mini-14

  • proud papa of the mini 14 target for over a year, amazing results with dampener.

If your change ammo in any way, mfg, weight ect., you will want to readjust dampener.

  • dude great vid for those of us who know what you are talking about lol. you average joe who just blows 500 bucks in ammo into the side of a hill. lol

  • Thanks so much for the video. I was thinking about getting one of these. Now I know im going to get one because this gun seems great.

  • How do you feel about the new "tactical" model. With flash supressor etc.?

  • Depends on what you are going to do with it ? and what you expect from it ?

  • A little of everything i suppose, plinking, shooting at the ranch, and of course, my when SHTF rifle

  • Sounds like the correct tool for the job to me

  • Do the Target models shoot the same as the normal tactical and ranch 14's except for the added accuracy?

  • The harmonic dampener seems to do the job, but how sturdy is it? I ask because I called up Ruger and asked about using 5.56 NATO in my Mini-14. I was told that Minis are built sturdy enough to handle the extra pressure of the 5.56 with the exception of the new target models that sport the harmonic dampener. Any ideas on why that would be?

  • 5.56 and 223, smae same ??? sounds like crap to me . Call back and get me a name of who you talked to. I'll bet it was some twit office help.

  • I did not say they were the same. I said "I was told that Minis are built sturdy enough to handle the extra pressure of the 5.56." The 5.56 is (basically) the +P version of .223. The higher pressure of a 5.56 round does not usually go well in a gun chambered for the weaker pressure of .223. What Ruger said was that the Mini-14 is built solidly enough to fire the 5.56 round. No one said anything about the 2 rounds being the same. And I've since put over 2000 rounds of 5.56 though my Mini. No Prob

  • No You said "Minis are built sturdy enough to handle the extra pressure of the 5.56 with the exception of the new target models that sport the harmonic dampener. Any ideas on why that would be? " This was cut and paste from your original post. The owners manual says 5.56 or 223 and the one on line says 5.56 or 223. Maybe you didn't mean " with the exception of " in your original post.

  • I wonder, then, if the rep was incorrect or if they might have just re-used an old manual with some updates for the new rifle. He did tell me that the target rifles weren't meant to handle 5.56. Since I don't have one, I won't bother calling again, but it is something you might want to check into before putting any m193 down the barrel.

  • With all due respect. On the Ruger website. The Target Rifle has a .233 Rem. SAMMI chambers which are tighter in tolerance. That chamber supports only commercial ammo. Yes you can shoot 5.56, I have done it, with a bolt gun) but it is not recommend (by gun company lawyers). The other models have a 5.56 NATO chambers. They are set at a looser tolerance to give function with the hotter 5.56 NATO M193/M855 ammos.

  • Continued

The chamber is looser because it is a chamber designed for high volume use which tightens the chamber. The tighter the chamber the better the accuracy. But you knew that part.

I believe in general that you can shoot NATO ammo in SAMMI but not rapidly.

I hope I replied to the correct person.

  • I was told the same thing by my local gunsmith. I dont see how the dampener would have any effect.

  • 5.56 Nato and .223 Rem are not the "same" cartridge. 5.56 has a considerable amount more pressure than the .223, and the cartridge dimensions are not identical. If you read the owners manual, you'll see that it also states that using 5.56 Nato is ok in the Ranch Rifles, but not ok in the Target model. The chamber of the Target model is built specifically for the .223 Remington, and is not designed to handle the 5.56 Nato cartridge.

  • meh. Mini 14's are alright. They are fun to shoot and reliable enough. Ill take my AR though.

  • that is a great looking rifle. i should be getting one later on in the month

  • hehe you kinda sound like jeff bridges

  • Nah nah nah, your MOM sucks and blows. This rifle is pretty much THE SHIT!

  • For the price, it's worth it. You spend twice as much getting an AR and if you buy an AR you can't cut corners you have to buy a good one. I'm satisfied with the Mini though it's a flexible gun and I've always like the Garand action. Worth the price for sure.

  • At least your not being a "TROLL" like northwestmike and sying your point. I just feel if your want an action like that go with a 7.62X51 aka M1A if your shooting a 5.56/.223 got an AR

  • *GET not got

  • @cjhyde78 I am considering getting one why do you say they suck

  • I just got a news blast from JPFO..Mike Savage is calling for a ban on so called "assault rifles" (black guns) Mr. Savage has betrayed US all by siding with the freedom haters via their incrimental steps to disarm US all. I no longer support this jerk. JPFO to read the open letter to Savage. it is ironic that Mike coined the term: "Traitor Within" Contact Savage and voice your outrage if you believe in your right to self defense.

  • I prefer it with the hogue stock myself. Can you buy the harmonic dampener seperate if you want??

  • you proably helped ruger sell a bunch of rifles with this video. i'm sold on it. i like it with a fusion stock.

  • Judging by the emails and phone calls I have had I think I did help sell a bunch of these. I think those cheap asses a Ruger should give me one. LOL I am a firm believer in the Mini-14s reliability and versatility,,, and now this accuracy WOW.

    I do want one,,, bad!

  • i wish ruger made a mini 14 target in 6.8spc i would turn it tactical with the loser tolerances for more reliability and the dampiner for improved accuracy i would say it would be a perfect middle ground between the ak47 stoping power/reliability and the ar15 finiky/ accurate as hell

  • they do. But forget about it being cheap. They also come in 7.62x39 and 6.5 grendal

  • you can say good by to the mini 14 and ammo under the obama admin.

  • not neccisarly it is not considered an assult rifle and doent even look like a present military rifle there for it might be one of the only rifles that sneaks past because there mostly targeting ak47 and ar15s "millitary style assult rifles" which i think is stupid a person can use a pen to kill someone so there for do we need to ban bics???

  • im pretty sure a new ban that tried to pass covered the mini 14, the m1 carbine and even the m1 garand.

  • great video, thanks for illustrating it for all to see. I wondered how this newer target model works and now you have educated me.

  • Surprise! Surprise! After finally sighting in my Mini-14, the HD ended up exactly where yours did. Thanks again for the video. It has been a tremendous guide.

  • Why ruger doesn't make that model available in .204 doesn't make sense to me, if it was id be taking a closer looking at it.

  • according to other hands on tests I have read, the first few groups that were not as tight as desired were the result of the trigger getting broke in, you getting accustomed to the feel of it, AND, something to do with the chamber. two other testers found it more accurate after shooting 50 rounds, cleaning and lubing the chamber and gas rod. The shot groups came in much smaller after the so - called break in.

    Amazing.

  • Lube the chamber,,, not me

Gas rod ? seems like this part comes into play AFTER the bullet leaves the rifle ? ,,,,but I guess you know differently from READING

LOL,,, just had to jack you up.

  • I have always wondered about the harmonic dampener. Thanks for showing it to us. I only have one question, What kind of rock were you shooting that you can shoot the crap out of it? Rocks around here don't have crap in them.

  • Like the other post, im 20 and going to be moving into my first place with my girlfriend which is in baltimore a verry bad city as far as crimes and murder. I was looking into shotguns, but now im thinking the mini-14 insted of a mossberg 500 o4 590 for protection. Anyone have any insight? This is my first weapon

  • Not this exact mini 14 by the way

  • Buy an AR-15 for real fire power. Though, a Mini 14 is not a bad rifle, I think I would recommmend something a little more compact for home defense. A shotgun should suffice, though, I don't know if you need a Mossberg. A cost effective Remington 870 will serve your purpose.

  • Great video ! Thanks !

What ammo were you using ? Grain & so forth ?

  • Terrific insight on using the damper and how it really works

  • Wow. Great video. I guess I will have to get a target model now too. lol.

  • i want to buy a starter rifle when i turn 18 but i'm not sure which caliber would fit me most. are .223 rounds cheaper than .308, because i want to shoot at ranges 600 and beyond (yards). also, could you point me to a good rifle manufacturer that ships their rifles to romania?

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!

  • Nice video. Very informative. You should have charged your friend!

  • Never charge a friend you may need a backup.

A friend will help you move, a true friend will help you move a body.

  • Especially when that friend is allowing you to shoot his new rifle...

  • Your all wrong, Dick heads! Ruger has since come out with the 580 series "Ranch" rifle for the sole reason that the previous series , 182 and below, were so inaccurate. I own a 580 and I'll put it up against any AR, M4, AK at 200 yards with open sights. Ruger made good on their promise and beyond to improve accuracy . Enough Said!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice video Paul! You might want to add some commentary in future videos about what sort of ammo, scopes, and accessories you are using. I have a standard Mini-14 and a friend of mine just got a target model. The Mini-14 is known for being inaccurate and your video sure puts that claim to rest.

  • mini's are very accurate dumb ass

  • No, they are not. They are known primarily for their durability and reliability. The desire for better accuracy is why Ruger came out with a *target* model, dipshit. This video shows that with the proper tuning this rifle can really tighten up the groups. F-ing illiterate hick.

  • Mine has a Hogue stock, I also put on a bipod, and a Pentax Gameseeker 4x12 with bullet drop compensator.

It only took me 22 rounds to dial in the dampener, 1 1/2 inch 3 round groups @ 200 yards, with Remington Express, 55 grain psp. The gun is phenomenal, and I highly recommend it.

  • Just wanted to say great shooting Mr.PaulsWackyWorld. you need to give a class on how to shoot. what grain of round did you use and power of scope and brand? I've herd the old saying the scope makes the rifle.

  • they have models with the same stock as the regular ranch rifle, so i believe this is the greatest alternative to an ar-15

  • I've got one on the way, but am still working out the scope. What scope is being used? Are those the Ruger High rings?

  • Please disregard this question. I see the answer in the comments.

  • Anyone know what ammo he was shooting with ?

  • The Mini 14 Target seems like a nice rifle but does the Target version with the heavier barrel still fit the aftermarket pistol grip stocks like those made by Advanced Technology (ATI) or Tapco?

  • Why would you want to do that to this version of the Mini ?

And,,,,, how in the hell would I know? I don't work for Ruger, ATI or Tapco.

You best bet is to ask ATI or Tapco

  • 300 yards is impressive for a mini-14! I have the standard version and i usually shot it at 100 meters...

  • Really nice but after I owned one I switched to the AR/15's and never again had such the problems with a gun as I did with the Rugers poor shooting and also you can't switch Uppers in just seconds on a Mini 14 to other calibers like on the AK/15's .

  • what you must lone about the mini 14 is the reliability.basicly an m1 gerand.

  • I think you mean the M14.

  • mini 14 is a great gun but not much kinetic energy compared to 30.06 0r 7mm mag. it doesnt make a good hunting rifle.

  • You might have a hard time convincing a coyote, or bobcat that its not a good hunting rifle.........

    :)

  • Good shot! :^)

I'm still suspect of the Mini 14 after the original sucked so bad. I'd have to try one myself.

    Thanx for the info vid.

  • Question for Paulswackyworld.

I shot a friends and ordered one just like what you shot. What are your feelings on barrel break in? I stripped and cleaned mine as if I just shot it. Planned on using a bore snake at the range after ever 10 shots or so.

After a few shots of my friends gun I had to have one.

    Nice vid and shooting !

  • there is no mistaking the sound lead hitting steel nice shot . but saying you rock well thats a bit much lol my son can dance bowling pins at 250 all most all day with my 204 ruger contender carbine and he is just eleven and yeah i heard you about the cross wind

  • I am gonna buy this or a remmey 700 SPS DM, the hold factor here is not price, the remmy has a cheap plastic stock X_X

  • Is it possible to add a bipod to it?

and does it come with a detachable mag, one that i can exchange with one with a larger capacity?

  • Yes

    Yes

  • is the question about a larger mag serious? haha, of course you can! you better go get the largest banana mag you can buy before obama bans them! i have both stainless and regular....

  • Hello there, cool video( I was going to get an AR-15)but it is not possible in Costa Rica , so I would like to get one of these..would you mind giving me a little technical information about it?..you know ...the model, etc, something I can give to the armory guy in order to get this new model.

    Thanks..

    Have fun

  • jesus, the pads are bolted to the ground and it sits in the pads, it's not gonna be hard to be with good with that.

I'm used to using iron sights with only a front sling support

  • Excellent shooting pity we can't have semi auto full bore rifles in England. You can in Northern Ireland though which is still part of the United Kingdom.

  • Great video, and nice shooting. Thanks for posting.

  • hey brumbrum1 go fuck your mom in the ass you dirty fucking raghead cocksucker. oh and tell your sister i said hi motherfucker

  • go back to whatever dirty raghead country you came from WHITE POWER!!!!!!

  • Guess what, asshole! Your kind of slime wants to destroy/kill/obliterate the West, so just to be fair, I am going to laugh like a madman every time I watch our great military bomb/nuke/snipe/vaporize you assholes. You rats are also lucky some KKK hasn't popped your great hope for president or the antichrist to most normal white GUN possessing US citizens, Barack Obama.

How do you like them apples?

  • I,m actually directing this at those ragheads downt here aka the "spam" ones.

  • man go fuck yo self

  • Thanks for this great video. I have been thinking extremely hard about buying this gun and now I'm sold.

  • Love this gun.

  • Hey again. I ordered both the Target and the Mag IV. Now I am wondering about ordering a Harris Bipod adapter + adapter. Yet I thought I would ask your thoughts on bipods first. I would think bipods would create a lot of unwanted vibration on the hard surface it is setting on when the rifle fires which would reduce accuracy. Would this not be true? Though hopefully I could maximize the dampeners potential by finding that sweet spot with the Bipod on. Let me know your thoughts, thanks man.

  • I meant + Bipod

  • Shoot off bags like mine and a good solid bench. You must take accurate shots without fooling yourself to set the dampener up first. After you are happy then you can go to a bi-pod. I don't have much good to say about bi-pods except they are better that trying to hold the rifle in hunting situations. The key word is "HUNTING SITUATIONS" I don't think it will effect the harmonics on the barrel. Note:never get a bi-pod that mounts to the barrel !

  • Great Video, Ive been doing a sh*t load of research on this rifle, seems like my choice for my first rifle purchase. What scope are you using in the video or do you suggest? Thanks

  • This scope is a Tasco Mag IV. All I can suggest is about 40 mm with variable power of X15 or greater. To do the long shots you need the big X number.

  • hi there! i would just like to ask how much does a standard mini 14 cost? cause im planning to buy one too...

  • usually run from 800-1000 or so

  • Hey paul . I commented your other video , you were shooting your mini 14 your ar 15 and the 30 30 ... this is the gun i was describing.

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm sold. Actually, I'm thinking of my ugly, super custom 20" target HBAR AR-15: THAT'S about to get sold! LOL

  • Good shootin' Paul.

  • good shooting

  • the hogue overmolded stock is so ugly and Im not a fan of composite anyway. I REALLY want a thumbhole stock as well. I hope that maybe the law doesnt apply to it because you can buy it with the regular hogue stock or that they realize its a target rifle and no ones gonna go on a shooting spree with something that unwieldy. I hate California so much for their stupid useless laws.

  • Im gonna go to the gun store and ask. its because it has a pistol grip and a removable clip. you cant have both or its considered an "assault weapon". anyway if I cant get that I decided Im gonna buy a savage model 12 in .308. check it out and thanks for the great vid youre a dead eye.

  • They also make the new Mini-14 with a synthetic conventional stock. That would make it legal ???? If you go Savage look at the 10FP not the 12. apples to apples ,$ to $ But all savages with the accutrigger are great

  • would you happen to know if this is legal in California? I want one so bad. if it isnt do you have a suggestion for a good cheap target rifle with a thumbhole stock? Im looking at the savage model 11 bth or the remington 700 target.

  • MOVE ! If it isn't illegal now it will be soon !

Get a savage 10FP, nothing that they should make illegal. It's conventional great rifle. Oh yes, in the Communist Republic of California the ammunition may be illegal ??? Check your local gun shop if gun shops are still legal there ??? Sorry

  • hey paul , i have this rifle and can i shoot 5.56x45 ammo? i bought it in november and havnt shoot it yet i found some tracer rounds and would like to buy a case or two but need to know if its safe to use this ammo i dont want to damage my rifle thx

  • As far as I know there is not a difference between 5.56 and 223. I would not shoot the tracers or Wolf or anything with questionable jacketing. This is a very high end barrel why screw it up putting junk down it. Put the junk down your junk guns.

  • WARNING!!!! There is a difference between 5.56mm and .223!!! 5.56x45 actually has a longer necked casing. Shooting this ammo in a gun chambered for .223 can be BAAAAD! 5.56x45 won't completely chamber, and will stop your bolt from completely locking. You can shoot .223 ammo in a gun chambered for 5.56x45, as it has a bit shorter casing. It will simply expand to fit the chamber as it's fired. So, it's OK to shoot .223 in a 5.56 chamber, but not the other way around.
