sidechaining in reason...very useful . thanks....however can i , or how can i sidechain my bassline with a DrRex drum. I realize my bassline is affected by the lot of freq of that drum. Can i split the frequencies and sidechain em after or other ways? Can anyone help me out?
@itsRawqit It's not that it's complication, it's just that the way it began is pretty messed up. I don't know the full story, I suggest checking the interwebs, they're there for a reason.
I have a track with a sustained bass and have sidechained the sub element with fast attack and release; however I have pumping on the sub which when I master becomes to my ears quite anoying. Do you have any tips as to how to lessen this pumping action? Thanks in advance.
Should you not be using a subtractor as it is mono and all sub bases should be mono as for the waves in the sub freq clashing if its stereo, also should you not low cut everything apart from the sub bass, i've seen you low cutting with the stereo imigar is this a more effective way? also great tutorial i just wanted to clear those things up, you deserve that white choc cookie :)
@mrachniot shift while you create something, not sure how or if u can after uve made them. if thats what u wanna do just save the patch, close it the shift open and load up the patch again
ok i was doing GREAT till the sidechaining happens. somehow my linking is wrong and now the bass is side chained to ALL the drums (except congos) HELP RLY PLZ! :'( im sure there must be some quick way to do it instead of starting from scrath with the combinators? thanks!
is there a way to download all these videos onto my computer so i don't need to come on youtube to watch them?? i find myself going back and forth as reminders for my own work anyone??? thanks
damn, first when i've started to watch this vid i thought its going to be another honky tonky, but this shit is more phat than mcdonalds kids. fukin A!
Good tutorial, but it doesn't sound like noisia at all. You should delete their name out of the title of part 1, otherwise their fanboys will tear you apart. ;)
@IareDewey Thanks for the advice, but I know - unfortunately not everyone else does, meaning I'd have to explain that entire process in each tutorial, which takes longer than a simple "Right click - initialize" :)
Dang!! you hit the Mormons! That's ok though.

You can set all your synths to open as initialized in the options menu. I've always wondered why you're always initializing the patches.

In Reason 5 it's Edit > Preferences > Uncheck "Load Default Sound in New Devices"
