i don´t know why, i like this song... from the moment i heard the refrain first time in 1990 i never forgot it.... much better than voted!! somehow classic roots in the harmonics...
@KlaRa474 Me too. I was 5 years old and I still remember when I heard it back then. I just love this song. To me it's one of Norways best entries. The melody and lyrics are nice. When I was in Berlin on holiday I thought of this song at once when walking up Unter den linden :)
Wow, this song is crappy. But it stand for something great. A united europe, and end of socialism and communism.
Sadly enough socialim and communism have return, and even with a new crappy brother called islam. Because if you didn't know it: About 90% of worlds socialist and communist support Al Qaida.
@Moneycaller35 are you quite finished with your Conservative propaganda which as always involves spewing out bullshit that you know you can't back up as you know left-wing parties have been around for centuries as has Islam of which my country has one follower of sitting in the House Of Representatives and considering that most countries in the Western World supported the invasion of Afghanistan had a left-wing government at the time and some still do Australia is one such example says something

i still wonder what the position would have been if the melody had a different theme and title.
though european judges didnt understand trøndersk/norwegian, they got the cheesiness of the title "Brandenburger Tor".
because its not a bad melody.

This song would never have won in Norway if Teigen's "Optimist" hadn't been elbowed out of the top three by the retarded jury.
