1: The mating calls sounds like in the full, making it look like the full version of Spore. There are commonly large changes.

2: It has parts that is only aviable in the buyable games.

It's hovering. There is no flying, at least not until the expansion. There is gliding though. The higher your Jump rating, and the better your wings (and size and stuff) the longer you can glide.
