  • I didn't like this dubbing, god should have a more macho voice, older too.

  • nice movie even though i doubt it was real i believe in hinduism

  • @jayd4ever Ancient Egypt archeology has concluded that Israelites existed in Egypt. Check out the mural from the tomb at Beni-Hassan and the Merneptah Stele. Israelites were in Egypt from the 19th century BC until 1210 BC. History has proved it.

  • @carissaannlucia you say that but have the found the tomb of the pharoh who took moses in

  • Comment removed

  • I've dedicated many hours and have done research on the subject. I've added some websites if you care to look. (Mural from the tomb at Beni-Hassan: scroll down to Joseph - bible-topten. com/heroes.htm and the Merneptah Stele - allaboutarchaeology. org/merneptah-stele-faq.htm) (You need to take the spaces out between the . and com or org. They wouldn't let me post a full link.)

  • @carissaannlucia moses may have existed but he probably was mistaken i think abraham, jesus and moses existed but they were nothing special

  • @jayd4ever As long as people know they existed, that's all I can do! If you choose to believe, it's on faith. Peace! :)

  • @carissaannlucia YOUR PROOF DOESNT SHOW REAL PROOF THEY JUST SHOW WHO ALL THESE FIGURES WERE

  • @jayd4ever All you said was "I doubt it was real." I'm showing that Israelites did exist in Egypt at the same time and there was eventual conflict with Egypt through archaeology. I've said that since the beginning. I'm not trying to start an argument. What's fact is fact. If you don't believe in the Bible, belief in Moses can only come from faith. Peace be with you!

  • @carissaannlucia i know but is there any archaeological proof of the bible or quran or torah because too me these religions seem fake thats all im saying and none your proof change my mind

  • bello : )

  • This is awesome. Especially if you have Hebrew ancestry. My heart beats faster when Hashem says 'I am the God of your ancestors, Avraham, Yitschak and Jakov'.

Would have been cool if they had used a stronger voice tho

  • Its sad because hardly anyone speaks Hebrew at this pace anymore. It seems like most Israeli's want to say things as fast as possible. The language was meant to be spoken at this pace though.

  • "In appearance, YHWH is an archaic third person singular imperfect of the verb "to be", meaning, therefore, "He is". This explanation agrees with the meaning of the name given in Exodus 3:14, where God is represented as speaking, and hence as using the first person—"I am". It stems from the Hebrew conception of monotheism that God exists by himself for himself, and is the uncreated Creator who is independent of any concept, force, or entity; therefore "I am that I am". --Wiki

  • In other words, "ani adonai eloecha" means literally "I am the Lord thy God" and is a statement of fact, not a "proper" name. YHWH is simply the Hebrew proper name for God. But "I AM" is the most important name, as noted by Wikipedia:

  • Of course God also refers to him/self as Elohim and Adonai but those titles should be taken as such, albeit titles signifying only one thing (THE God, THE Lord) correct?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but:

Elohim = "GOD", also plural "god or gods" from the standard semitic word "El" = "deity" which was in widespread use at the time. (possibly the "royal we" as in Genesis, also interpreted as the Trinity/aspects of God, or possibly signifying "god of gods", i.e. one god with many names?)

    Adonai = "LORD"

YHWH = Hebrew given name for THE God of Israel (JEOWA?)

EHYEH = "I AM" = most important name from theological perspective, the one God actually uses. (here in fact)

  • Why God Just didnt used a Teleportation skill, and teleported all the" Hebrews" (Judaism doesnt even existed yet)

to the land Flowing with Milk and honey, and spare humanity from human victims

But No! we have to do it the very LONG and very Dirty Way!

I gues I just dont get the Odd mysterious ways of God, Do I?

Im Glud they used a Female Voice as well with the male leading voice in the hebrew Version

  • @jaguar4u2012 Well, If you you'd know what Judaism really is, and if you'd read the bible, you'd know that Judaism began with Abram (which latter becam Abraham), God spoke the Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and promised them the land.

And about the Female voice in hebrew- In Judaism God in not a male nor female. He has no body and the shape of a body. I gusse thats they wanted to point out. An you don't get the mysteriouse ways of God, beacuse you simply not God :)

  • @UnderclasSum41

the word "Judaism" or "Jew" doesnt even mentioned one time in the bible

perhaps in the last chapters somewhere (if I missed)

it was Hebrews, or "Sons of israel"

the whole purpse of god is to motivate people to be Good,

but people Just worship him and use him as excuse for murder and war!

considering god is a fictianal character, this is all pointless!

because he doesnt motivates them to be good but rather EVIL

  • @jaguar4u2012 Judaism comes from the word Judah (on of the 12 sones of Jacob), which was the last tribe that wasn't exield from the Kingdom of Judah (Israel). And you right, the word Jew mention only in the last Bilbe time. People started calling them Jews only after the Romans threw them out of their land. And the purpose of God is not the motivate ppl to be good. In judaism, the concept of good and bad is a lot deeper then what we know today. U can send me in inbox if you want more info.

  • @jaguar4u2012 BTW, why do you think God motivate people to be evil?

  • @UnderclasSum41

god doesnt, those who invented god does!

  • @jaguar4u2012 Well, I can't convince you that God exsit. And I see that your from Israel, which I assume is a little bit harder to agree to the all God thing- with all the disasters thats going on there (Even though it's a Jewish state, and it's the first time that I see someone from Israel who doesn't believe in God). I'm German and not Jewish. But I believe in God and believe that the Jewish people are the chosen people, And all the things that happend to them proves it. Bad things included.

  • @UnderclasSum41

wow then you how no Idea mate,

you think everyone here are religious? and this crap about jews being the chosen ones is just arogant facistic crap

you dont get honor just by being born "the chosen one"

you gain your own honor by doing honorble things!

the Hasidic jews are complete Retards, taking things out of context, being extremely anoying and cruel, they think they can tell people how to live!

and god never has something to say!

  • @UnderclasSum41

by the way dude, Im not one of those that are like:

"Ohh Boo Hooo, God Abandened me, I dont believe in him anymore"

No! there is just things you Realize and understand!

some things you feel! and sometimes its a hanch!

I dont want to be the as.shole that tells you that Santa is not Real

But considering how much evil and racism there is in this world because of religion

it makes me very Agressive towards it

  • @jaguar4u2012 First of all, I never said that everyone in Israel are religouse, I said that I never met anyone from Israel who doesn't believe in God. (BTW, I don't like Hasidic Jews also) But I learnd a thing or two about Juasidm ans I know thats it's very diffrent from Christianity and Islam despite what everyone says. And you right, when people become radical about their religion, it become disgusting and dangrouse. Man, I'm not religous, I say all this things on base of what I've learned

  • @jaguar4u2012 And don't worry, you'll have to do A LOT more then that to convince me that God doesn't exsit XD And I can assure you- Racisem and evil never came from Judaism. I never saw a Jew in all history who killed another man just because he wasn't a Jew, like the Christian did and Muslims still does.

Thst's something that I never appreciated in Israelis- how U try to dismiss youe own history. It doesn't make you look enlightened and open-minded as a lot of you think ot is.

  • @UnderclasSum41 you remember in the old testament were David killed Golaith? or were they killed villiages of Palestinians? Oh trust me Jews have waged wars in Gods name too Christians wage wars too but not cause Jesus said so cause God did and God's the dad. i personally am a Christian although I see things differently than most Christians thats my two cents im going to enjoy the video now. May your Creator make you feel good

  • @pidaman72 Jesus didn't tell the Jews to kill, since Jews don't believe in Jesus and Jesus didn't even exist in time of King David. I didn't say that Jews didn't kill in the name of God, I said they didn't kill other people just becuse they weren't Jews. If God told them to kill a specific nation, it means that there was something wrong with these people. You, as a Christian, know that God has his reason and we can't always understand them. Our knowledge as humans is limited

  • @UnderclasSum41 Goliath was a PHILISTINE, not a "palestinian". It is the Romans who renamed Judea to Palestine, after the Bar-Kochba rebellion was suppressed in 135 CE. The "palestinians" therefore date from no earlier than the 2nd century CE, long after the Israelites settled in the Land of Canaaan.

Instead of repeating the nonsense printed in the newspapers, study History. You will find it an eye-opening experience!

  • @pidaman This should have been a reply to you. Apologies for the error.

  • @ThePfefferD

?Hmmm, what? Who the fuck talked about Palestine

    I already know that

  • Hayah asher hayah! ani Yahweh,Elohe avraham....

  • the people who were responsible on the music and sound on this film really did an amazing job

  • "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all." -- rabbi David Wolpe from the 2001 LA Times featured article "Doubting The Story Of The Exodus"-

the jews have never been enslaved but rather are the enslavers. The primitive masses are easily fooled through bogus historical narratives such as "The Exodus".

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem

    Wrong.

Professor Bryant Wood, from the Associates for Biblical Research, has also concluded that the Semitic slaves who lived at Kahun were indeed the Israelites.

In the future don't question beg the epithet without support.

  • "In Exodus we have an account of the manner in which Jehovah delivered the Jews from Egyptian bondage. We now know that the Jews were never enslaved by the Egyptians; that the entire story is a fiction. We know this because there is not found in Hebrew a word of Egyptian origin and there is not found in the language of the Egyptians a word of Hebrew origin. So we know that the Hebrews and Egyptians could not have lived together." - Robert Ingersoll

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem

That's an argument of silence, a logical fallacy. As well as it presumes that there are not other indicators of the Hebrews and Egyptians having lived together. Indeed there are, and different scholars have noted this. Also languages need not work that way. lol Also the exodus describes Egyptian geography and uses Egyptian words as well, so there goes that whole language nonsense anyway.

  • @SomePeopleLikeThem Also Hebrews stole lots of Egyptian mythology, like the "moses" figure, the "commandments", and many things more... even some features of the Egyptian gods are present in their mythology...

  • WIDE SCREEN!!! CLICK WIDE SCREEN!!

    MAX SPEAKERS!! :D

  • like the other video..

    I had expirienced TOTAL GOOSEBUMPS from the top of my head to the top of my toes..when God said "Ehyeh-Asher-Ehyeh" O__O wew..God really does conquer our hearts :}

  • Does anyone else like watching this as you prepare for Pesach?

Well Happy Pesach 2011/ 5771 everyone! Praise G-d for our freedom!

  • @KingOystar

I do so sometime. But usually because I miss Ofra Haza.

  • @Ellivee21 You are so right! This movie is so underrated. And its True!!

  • I wonder if the music is like this G-d's throne room?

  • So well done, & so well TRUE!!!

YHWH, el Todopoderoso, Bendito sea su Nombre.

YHWH, the Almighty, Blessed be your name

  • Take off your shoes. thy this is holy ground. its such powerfull meanings!

  • I love Hebrew so much >.<.......

  • This is Jesus real language!

  • @RyrithEU I thought that Jesus (generally) spoke Aramaic. The old Hebrew (which this is not) was no longer the vernacular language but rather one found in primarily literature and liturgy by the time of Jesus.

  • @jonharana

I'm so sorry you are correct about that, Jesus spoke Aramaic, for some reason I just thought Jesus spoke Hebrew, since he were Jewish.

  • too bad it's in modern hebrew, a far cry from ancient hebrew

  • @veggiet2009

actually it is not very far from ancient Hebrew. many of the sentences here are taken from the Torah itself. the language of the Torah is the original Hebrew. very close to the modern Hebrew.

  • I wish I knew what actual Hebrews thought of this movie. someone mind telling me what the people here in the comments are saying?

  • @WaxedLegs

We all, simply put, adore the movie^^.

  • @WaxedLegs

Just a little argument we had. Not particularly interesting.

  • @WaxedLegs Lol. I went to look at the Hebrew comments a) to see what some Hebrew speakers thought of the film and b) to see if I could understand them since I've been taking Hebrew for two years. The ones on this page and the next one back are (from what I can tell) arguing about how God introduces himself, so I assume some people (not all) have a few issues with the translation. I guess it doesn't matter where you're from, YouTube comments almost always equal some sort of debate.

  • thats not just hebrew thats an old hebrew that call aramit

    "Adonay is My Lords"

DREAM WORKS

GOD DAMN IT!

  • @kim00222

OMG!

  • It would seem that this Dub also used the voice of Moses for the Voice of god. Wich, I must say, is a simply brilliant move. Whoever came up with it was awesome.

  • This movie is so underrated.

I'm an atheist and this movie still moves me to tears.

  • @Ellivee21 Glad I'm not alone. I'm agnostic, yet I love this movie. Even us nonbelievers can enjoy a bit of myth here and there.

  • @Ellivee21 i really do not like dreamworks that much and yet this movie is on par with some of disney's movies

  • @makutateridax200 actually i like them both but disney more so 60% disney 20% dreamworks 40% the rest(wb 20% of this)

  • @makutateridax200 goddamnit godamnit i got in a fight with my mom a week ago and i feel too guilty to give two craps about that right now ok jaguar4u2

  • @makutateridax200 just call him god okay and than we can all stop this fucking fuck war i hate WARS!!!!!!! fuck you bush obama osama saddam and anyone else involved with this shit you call freedom if i have to be a slave of war to have freedom i would rather die

  • @Ellivee21 God moves me to tears!

  • @Ellivee21

Same words from the bible. They are so SPECIAL. I read the English translation once, when I was in the US because they didn't have the Hebrew one - I just couldn't help but crying at how the translation ruined it.

  • @Ellivee21 The story is really complex, you have to hand it to the people back in the day who composed it.

  • @Ellivee21 and of course to dreamworks for this awesome modern adaptation

  • @Ellivee21 Me too!

  • Ugh... people, STOP debating on this forum! I love debates, but this is a classic animated film. Enjoy it! =)

  • @HorridDreams i consider it to be right up there with all of the disney classics dispite it being made by dreamworks

  • @Taspearl Also if they do know I guess the only reson why they don't want to reveal it is just to prevent a world war, and so they can focus and continue on there education.

  • Jews are too Stupid to Understand the real meaning of

"Do Not Misuse the Name of God"

    "?? ??? ?? ?? ?????? ?????"

    from the ten commandments.

the meaning is dont even think to use God as an Excuse for Murder, War or Hate!

"thats what muslims usually do (they murder inocent people, and take justice into their own hands by claiming thats the will of God"

and jews think it means dont say gods name

like he is some kind of "Lord Voldemort" LMAO

THE MOST SACRED OF ALL NAMES THE RULER OF HEAVEN FATHER OF JAKOOB , ISSAC, DANIEL, ABRAM, JOSEPH

  • JESUS!

  • Itmikepowell, remember there are different expresion of Hebrew. I know that Adonay means God and is in the Bible too. Yaveh, Yehovah, and Elomin are other expresions of God. But there is something important: There is only one God creator of Heaven and Earth!

  • @Ficozzy In Judaic faith, which one should they call the almighty?

  • So sad, if only the oppressed people of God from history could see how their descendants are now oppressors of another people.

  • @seoden

if you're going to compare,at least make a valid one,not a stupid propaganda one.

  • Isn't this the language they should have spoken? I mean..In real life?

I think this version fits better!

  • @Trifawrce

Only Moses would have been speaking Hebrew. The Egyptians didn't exactly feel the need to speak Hebrew except when ordering slaves around.

  • @Trifawrce yes thats hebrew

  • Comment removed

  • I've noticed something why do atheist bother to even study the bible if they don't believe in GOD what are the CIA and the UN hiding why would they care to do these studies in the first place

  • @jorgeasalas Why would anyone study a religious text if they're not of that religion themselves? Quite simple. They want to have a better understanding of those people whose lives and societies which are based on these religious texts.

  • @StolenkissGerbils We live by the word of GOD and not by the traditions of men we know GOD Is real because we defined the essence of existence and what it is and who it is.Existence = word

  • @jorgeasalas You can live by whatever you want. I didn't ask for you to force your religion down my throat. I was simply answering your question. Open your mind, please. "God" and "religious texts" and "the word" are all "traditions of men". I won't be bothering to reply to you any further since you're clearly brainwashed.

  • @kissGerbil

I can't speak for Islam, but the Judeo-Christian faith cannot be fully understood while being opposed to it. You can understand it on a base intellectual level but very little can you really and truly understand it. That's why faith is the conviction of things *not* seen. It is a revelation of what is there yet we fail to see it. Yes you can study all of the religions and myths of the world, but the reason why atheists get angry at and fixated on Christ is because he is a true myth.

  • @jorgeasalas well, for me it's not only religious texts, but also the only record of the history of my people.

  • It so awsome to hear their conversation in Hebrew.. its the closest to the real thing. They spoke in Hebrew to back in the day!

  • @icepickflip They did not. They spoke Aramaic, which is also known as ancient Hebrew. The language is in the Torah (Bible) even today.

  • @DanielHarel You are right, but aramaic is still so simular like hebrew. :)

  • @DanielHarel Ancient hebrew is not the same as Aramaic. Aramaic was the assyrian language...in some ways similar to hebrew, but also clearly different. The hebrew bible contain some biblical aramaic, and some biblical hebrew(ancient hebrew).

And when Moshe lived, 1391–1271 BCE, they spoke ancient hebrew.

It was in 586 BCE that the babylonians destroyed jerusalem, and aramaic become widely spoken by the jews, I think.

  • @DanielHarel You probably also think that the bible was written in Aramaic...

  • @icepickflip try arabic it is from the same sorce of languive but has a different acsent and most words are different

  • all you people who are confused, remember who God started with, the Jews, so this being in Hebrew is the best understanding of how God would sound.

  • @DavidTheCatholic to be fair mate he started with Abraham who was a goyim not a Jew, but I get your point, there is something cool about hearing this encounter in Hebrew, good film too.

  • i love this movie!! it's soooo cool!!

  • Is there a transcript of this in our letters?

  • i love how God sounds in this one.... supreme....so calm but firm......

  • 4:01

  • this is beautiful

  • WOW!!!

    I LOVE this!

I ALWAYS knew Hebrew was G-d language!

  • Hey this is silly

when God says "Va Lo Ani Adonay", Adonay means, My Lord

he says "Aint I ,My Lord" , how can God say "My Lord" about him self?

he should have said "Va Lo Ani Elohim"

  • @jaguar4u2 thy probably made a mistake on it lol

  • @jaguar4u2 yes but in the bible he usually says "ani adonai eloecha" ...but yeah it's silly XD

  • @jaguar4u2 does it have something to do with something I read that orthodox jews never pronounce the actual name and use instead "Adonay"? I dont know hebrew, thats just something I read about judaism somewhere.. anyway, for what I read of what you said, its true, it sounds silly.. why would have they done such a public mistake?

  • @alarikoeloko17

    Kind of...

instead "Elohim" they say "Elokim" or Adonay or "Hashem"

when actually in the original text it says "JEOWA"

but they think that combining the letters Hey, Yud and Vav will bring Disasters

so even in their Gematric calendar they mess up things because of that,

they are supestitious and Dumb religious freaks what can I say?

but the guy who dub god here is an Idiot!

he says "Adonay" about himself! ...Ain't I "my Lord"

  • @jaguar4u2

    it's not a mistake.

'my lord' in hebrew is- "adoni".

    but, "adonay" means god.

  • @kim00222

I doubt that God will say "My Lord" about himself!

    Elohim or Yeowa is Corect

  • @jaguar4u2

I told you already- he did not say 'my lord' !

'my lord' in hebrew is- "adoni"

He didn't said 'adoni' he said 'adonay' means god !

  • @jaguar4u2

Do you speak Hebrew? i do.

  • @kim00222

    Adoni is my Lord

    Adonay is My Lords

yes I speak hebrew better than you do

  • @jaguar4u2

    yea?

  • I don't understand Hebrew, but this is very interesting.

  • "The truth is that virtually every modern archeologist who has investigated the story of the Exodus, with very few exceptions, agrees that the way the Bible describes the Exodus is not the way it happened, if it happened at all." - rabbi David Wolpe in 2001

    -

the entire Exodus story was shown to be total fiction centuries ago which means that every component of Judaism is fiction. Read online "Doubting The Story of the Exodus" from 2001 when even influential jews admitted it was pure fiction.

  • @FreshMount

True, very true, FreskMount, but that's not to say that they totally discount it either. "To err is human," so they say, and it's not unique to this story. Much of early Hebrew history- as recorded by the Hebrews themselves- was oral, up until the establishment of the kingdom of Israel. In this way, it's easily possible for biases to slip in, historical inaccuracies, and so forth. That does not mean that the story, in general, is false, however, a very important recognition.

  • @FreshMount 2001? try something a bit more modern! they have found plenty of archeological evidence that proves the exodus is historical fact. even the egyptians said so. there is a monument in the ciro museum that says that the pharoh expelled a group called Hyksos (egyptian for Herbrews) wen the wrath of God( singular form) came down upon egypt. the egiptians were polotheists yet they say god is the singular form and in the capital infinitive form... explain that

  • @KaiHiwatariStudios1

Could you please bring some proofes for it?

  • @Frostwhisper95 yeah, watch "The Exodus Decoded"

  • @Frostwhisper95 ur welcome. its a documentry on the exodus and all the individual events that make it up, both historical and "supernatural". theres proof for all of it!

  • @KaiHiwatariStudios1

The folks who made that never met Ron Wyatt.

  • Wow so amazing

  • I love this version so much, the Hebrew makes it very authentic :)

  • As much as I love Hebrew, I think it sounds a little more elegant in English. Idk why though, perhaps it's bc of Val Kilmer's soft yet powerful acting. Just my opinion though. =)

  • @Sunriel

to me it seems stronger in Hebrew, but I respect yout opinion :) hails

  • @Sunriel I understand and agree a bit. The actors in the original script was very well done, and its hard to get attached to the character when the lips are not in sync with the alternate dialogue. The voices in this one sound nice, but didn't get as much sound editing treatment as the original movie.

The original movie that had the 'voice of God' had an underlying whisper to make it sound disembodied and the tone, pitch, a key of His voice was perfect that helped build the character.

  • @Sunriel That's why a lot of hollywood movies are well done, because the directors are very picky about what they want. These alternate translations were probably given to a third party to oversee, and didn't quite grasp the idea and mental state with the original director. If the director was working the hebrew translation, it would probably get a hollywood make-over to really have it stand out.

  • i dont think people who dont understand what that name stands for should avoid pronouncing it, for them, it's just another name.

it's like i can curse you in a weird language-as long as you dont understand it, you wont be offended. and as long i dont understand that it's a curse-i wouldnt know i offended you.

same thing about customs: if you stick your foot into a thai's face he will kill you, and if an beduin will give you a cup of coffee and fill it until its over the top you wont be offended.

  • I like how at 4:48 they don't directly show you what Moses sees. It shows that they took into account that no human can imagine what God truly looks like.

  • I kind of grew up watching this movie, but the Swedish version. The hebrew version is more powerful, since it's probably the laguage Moses and God spoke on.

It's a little hard to understand what they are saying though. All i understanded was "Adonai".

  • I am not the kind of people who cry, but watching the part where God talks to Moses in Hebrew brings me to tears almost immediately..

  • I actually cry during this part... =(...its just so emotional and spiritually driven.

  • I would believe anyone personally chosen by the Highest Power and Authority in the universe would be moved to tears. If not, then that person would not have been called on in the first place, not enough humility.

  • I almost Cried when God lifted moses!

It was like when a Father scolds a Son, then tenderly takes him in his arms!
