Then again, all white board have a weird mix of introductory particle physics/nuclear chemistry, random data extrapolations and, on odd occasion, something that popped up on ScienceDaily about a year ago from air date.

@akashashen If the Hydrogen is in negative as you mentioned, it's not just a proton (it would be H+ then), but a proton and 2 electrons.

And the show is still funny.

Oh, by the way, I am a physics student and I still find it funny. OK, it's not the Phys. Rev. Lett. in comedy form, but much funnier than that. And much more popular.

@GenericSupervillain3 What I meant was that the person responsible for writing "Eigenvalues" on the board probably didn't know the word "eigenvalue" and copied it from a hand-written note containing the word "eigenvalue." The note was probably written in poor handwriting and contained a lowercase "n" that looked like an "r." The person copying the note to the board then probably decided to change what appeared to be a lowercase "r" to an uppercase "R," hence "EIGERVALUE."

Really? Because generalizing so called "Nerds" and making cliche science jokes is true comedy. I understand everyone has a different taste, but I don't find this show funny at all. To each his own though.

Sheldon should've known tat if a bunch of upper graduate college students dont get the electron joke,they cheated their way through college b/c even grade school kids know this! Best & brightest.Ya, as bright as the sun going into the super nova phase. He's not as bad as some teachers. In college, on the first day in our physiology class the teacher gave us a test!!!!

Tests on the first day are normal in undergrad science classes, possibly junior and senior level courses possibly not. During, for instance, my micro, immunology, neurobio, etc, there was not one. However, in A&P, general bio, general chem, non-calc and calc physics, etc, there was one. But I agree, lol. I found the joke hilarious. But I'm like Sheldon, I suppose, in a lot of ways.
