  • Is the defconwarningsystem an organization of people or is there one person?

  • so what does DEFCON stand for and what do the other levels (3,2,1) mean?

  • @itube141 The DEFCON Alert levels you are referring to represent how close we are to a nuclear war. The closer it gets to 1, the worse the situation it.

  • I've heard reports that another reactor has exploded and that it is meltingdown, is their any validity to these reports?

  • so do you keep the threat low as long as your getting confliting reports??? What do we have to go out there ourselves are get a reading?

  • @jonldavis Uh, I'm not sure what you are referring to by "threat low". Do you mean the DEFCON level as in DEFCON 5?

  • @jonldavis If you mean the actual DEFCON level, that has to do with the risk of a nuclear strike. This wouldn't impact it at all. Unless this somehow results in escalated conflict between Japan and N. Korea or China, it'll stay at 5.

  • im so glad to be subed to this channel

  • 7+2= 9 eeeey

  • @MrMaverickstar What the f**k does that mean? Or have anything to do with this?

  • so wait..your not trusting the government or what?

  • @favorites411 As mentioned in the update, official information seems to conflict with activity on the ground, so we are unable to assign full value to government statements at this time.

  • @DefconWarningSystem Just to clarify (and get things clear/limit the rumor mill), you currently mean the Japanese government right?

  • @kenshin891 Yes. We are concerned that the Japanese government is not reporting the situation correctly to the public.

We do not ascribe to conspiracy theories, but we are reminded of a line from the movie The Day After:

"They'll tell us what they want us to hear. Keep the panic at the low-sweat stage."

  • @DefconWarningSystem It's too easy for panic to set in if true levels were reported, but shouldn't the truth be the priority here, seeing as the misinformation will put more people in danger than those in a panic?

  • @ChaPatEnd59 We agree. The truth is never worse than what the imagination can conjure up.

  • OH NOOOOOOO [please be a youtube partner]

  • @penguinx32 We don't know much about the YouTube Partner programme, but we would not want advertisements covering up or interrupting our PSAs, so have not delved into it in any depth.

  • @DefconWarningSystem yeah commercials are a pain, especially with my connection.

  • Great update, the Defcon Warning System is a great source of information during this radiological emergency in Japan!
