  • Do I need garritan to open them in the mamplayer? It isn't working in the mam player.

  • this is amazing! i love it

  • i love the intro, & how smoothly you go into the more adventurous segment. you are a wizard, alright!!!!!

  • You amaze me. Really, where do you get the inspiration? you just pick it out of the air? your'e good!

I feel like im in a fantasy world when listening to this exraordinary work of art!

    Thank you!

  • @MangaLovah Many thanks! :-)

  • How do you edit the videos? Like those words?

  • @ryanrmc100 just good old Windows Movie Maker

  • Why did you stop making music? It is very good.

  • @ryanrmc100 Thanks! I've just been way too busy lately balancing work and school, unfortunately...

  • You are AMAZING!!!

  • Could you possibly help me? I'm just wondering what the percussion sound is at 2:06. Not the cymbal, the other twinkling sound. Thanks :)

  • @24Pianist The sweeping sprinkly sound? It's the sweep of a mark tree, or bar chimes... I use them a lot with cymbals like that

  • The part beginning at 3:18 is really beautiful, which also changes the atmosphere a bit. I really like the rhythm ^^

The lower notes at 3:42 adds some power, and I really think that the song would be very different if you removed it. I´m glad you had it there ^^

4:18... Epic ^^ It feels like you´re being inside an adventure!

    Beautiful piece of music!

  • The intro with the piano and harp(?) is really setting the atmosphere clearly and beautifully! The flute(?) entering was a good choice, it fits.

1:42 gives a false feeling of that the tempo raises, but it´s really the rhythm which speeds up, creating a bit of a more adventurous atmosphere. The feeling gets stronger and stronger til 2:30, where it gets a bit calmer. I really like it, since it makes the tune "living" and interesting.

    [not done]

  • Oh, sorry. The description did not show up before. I will look into this Garritan Personal Orchestra, it sounds brilliant!

  • @24Pianist Thanks for your kind words! Yeah, I use Garritan Personal Orchestra along with the Overture 4 notation program. GPO takes some getting used to, but I've been using it since 2004 and it still serves most of digital orchestra needs, and it's priced nicely

  • @WizardWalk Would you recommend using it? I was hoping to get the new version of Sibelius, but it is very expensive. I thought an orchestration software would probably be the best thing, and Garritan has very good reviews.

  • @24Pianist I definitely recommend GPO, but it's just the sounds, so you'll still need Sibelius or Overture or something compatible with its sounds. I haven't used Sibelius, but Overture 4 definitely works great with GPO.

  • @WizardWalk Thanks :) I'm guessing that GPO imports midi files? I use Sibelius Student, so I save my midi files from there.

  • @24Pianist GPO doesn't work with MIDI files directly; rather you play GPO's sounds through Sibelius or Overture or something, so it will work with MIDI files through notation or sequencer software

  • This is... spellbinding. Absolutely phenomenal. The sweeping emotion, the beautiful dynamics. You have inspired me, my friend! What do you use to write your music? And what do you use to play it? It sounds amazing.

  • Thank you for all your wonderful music. It is always a joy to listen to. :) And do let us know if you ever make any cd's. I know i would love to buy them and im sure others on youtube would as well :)

  • I love it! Great job!

  • @smaffa2335 Many thanks! :-)

  • For the first 10 seconds I genuinely thought this was Concerning Hobbits. Nice work though!

  • great job! nice music!!

  • were you thinking of lord of the rings when you wrote 0:16? this isn't negitive by the way.

  • @ProdigyStepper Yes, "The Shire" theme was definitely an influence in the first half of that first melody; it's influenced some of my other pieces as well, it's such a beautiful theme...

  • I love your style :P I'm jealous that you have such a defined style whereas I really dont.

  • @Rodier1128 Thanks! I think styles will always emerge naturally after you compose a bunch, though it's probably always easier to hear someone else's style than your own.

  • Lovely as always.

  • Nice tune. I can hear your style in each of your songs. I agree about the piano. Did you consider using a violin or another instrument??

  • @cunparis ooh, a solo violin would probably sound good there... might be harder to pull off with samples though

  • @WizardWalk Do you have the Garritan Strad violion? It would require some work but would sound great. I heard a rumor that Sample Modeling is working on a new version of the Strad but that's not official. They did great work with the saxophones.

  • @cunparis I do, but I sort of lost patience with it last time I tried using it, which was years ago... lol... it definitely demands finessing, I'm not sure I have the patience for it... if a new version of the Strad is easier to use, I'll definitely be interested

  • Great instrumentation (somewhat odd use of piano, though). What an amazing climax!

It's missing your little repeated phrase rolling over the funny credits :P

  • @UnfamiliarPlace Thanks! Yeah, I stopped doing credits... I'm not sure why, I guess I felt it got old... or I'm just too lazy nowadays... and, yeah, I probably wouldn't be very good at using the piano in it's traditional use since I can't play, so I just use it as more of a percussive instrument I guess.

  • @WizardWalk It was pretty sweet if sparse in A Dream Half Lost

  • Patrick. I love all the things you upload . It's intense.

  • @fappyyplox Thanks! :-)
