as soon as the first second came on..i became overwhelmed with sadness. not because of his death, because he is in a far better placfe now...but because i don't live up to the standard this man has. and i fear i never will but i urge to. may God bless him and all of us
I remember crying my eyes out when I first saw this that Saturday morning in February. I know he's with Heavenly Father now, but I wasn't ready for him to go right then and there.
For some reason, I found myself re-watching this tonight, and it makes my eyes swell with tears knowing that a truly great Prophet walked this earth and that our church has prophets who lead and love us daily. I know that this is The Church of Jesus Christ
seeing him at 3:41 at the Santiago Chile temple rededication is so amazing. To see that he was there in Chile, that he visited my country and that he cared about people there and around the world shows me that God knows who we are and that He loves us all. He was indeed a prophet of God; our Heavenly Father has stretched forth his hand and has sent prophets again. What a blessing we have to live in such a time
La cancion se llama "My Shepherd Will Supply My Need" o sea, Mi Pastor satisfacera mi necesidad/mis necesidades. De hecho, la cancion no se encuentra en el himnario en ingles tanpoco. Es una cancion hermosa.
I visited Salt Lake City in 3 different segments in 2007 in mostly May and June. Each day I was there I would visit the Temple gardens and buildings and weddings and Tabernacle performances. After viewing his message on families, I visited local LDS church and studied his more recent writings in the library. Miss SLC and will soon visit local church (I keep saying). Wonderful people, wonderful city,
Thanks for sharing, very interesting! If you go to mormon*org, and click "Worship with us", you can easily find the closest LDS church to you and what time the meetings are at.
I was serving a mission in Texas when President Hinckley Died. We recieved a phone call from the mission informing my companion and I. It was tough! I thought he would live forever. But because of him, I am a better person! God bless President Hinckley!
One of the greatest men that ever lived, I´ll never forget that day that they announced his death, no matter who you were, it was too difficult to hold back the tears. But the best part is that we know he´s reunited with his wife and family and is doing a marvelous work now. How great this work is and how great an influence Gordon B. Hinckley left for us to follow! Always remember what is important everyone! "God Be With You ´Til We Meet Again!"
Whether you're a latter day saint like me or a member of another faith, this is one man that everyone should follow after his example. He was such a wonderful human being and did so much for other people, and I hope to be more like him. God bless you President Hinckley!
What a man! What a great feeling! THe church is true and i only hope when I pass people would think such great things about me! I hope and try to live a life to make him proud! I hope to find myself in his company someday! Life is precious and this is what it is all about!
Beutiful. Just Beutiful. Especially the song at the end. I am glad that you put this on because I missed it the first time. But I think you missed a talk or something. And I kinda wish you would have kept it playing, I would have liked watching them carry him out.
I love this hymn. It is so beautiful. It will help me remember President Gordon B. Hinckley. When I watched his funeral it made me cry especially this part because he is the only prophet I pretty much knew. Now I know that he is in a better place now with our Heavenly Father. I love you President Hinckley! I'll miss you!
This is the hardest part for me to help my feeling to not cry! Not at all, I broke down and cried so bad until the end of the conference broadcast. Our shepherd supplies our need by sending President Hinckley to be with all of us to give us direction. We're so honored to listen to him and we surely believe we're going to meet him once again in the presence of God! God Bless Pres.Hinckley!
this is an abserluteley beautiful hymn. it will help me remember pres. Gordon B Hinckley very fondly.
and lds9999 i am happy to comment on more as i feel that we should all do our part to spread this wonderful gospel that has given me so much in my life with others.
I have an exact copy of sheet music of this song which is written for piano and harps. When I played this song again, it made me feel to think about President Hinckley more and more. And I always picture all the supplies that God grants me in this entire life. How grateful I am to know the Gospel of the truth!
i was a high school exchange student in utah when i came to know pres. hinckley (not personally though). he was not yet president then, ezra benson taft was. there was something about pres hinckley that struck me, i think it was his quiet courage and strength. there was also something about the way he spoke and carried himself that touches you. i am not lds, but i have great admiration and respect for the man especially with what he done for the lds church.
I pray that we as lds member and of other faiths never forget him and the example that he was to all of us. may we all strive to more like him that what i say
