Pretty Jennifer O'Neill as Shasta got the most attention when this film came out, partly because of her terrible acting.

Sexy Sherry Lansing as Emelita is often talked about due to her later role as a top executive in the movie industry. She was actually a pretty good actress, though, and did a good job in this film.

But Susana Dosamontes (sp?) as Maria was, in my opinion, the most lovely of all. Man, oh man, what a HOT TAMALE she was!!!! Whew !!!!!!

Director Howard Hawks was well past the prime of hs career when he made this routine Western. It's notable for an early "acting" appearance (if you want to call it acting) by future 20th Century Fox president and Paramount CEO Sherry Lansing.

Speaking for myself, I think it's one of the best westerns ever made. It's my second favorite John Wayne movie, ranking only behind The Comancheros. By the way, i can't believe this is a movie trailer. With no narrarator or cast mentioning it's just an excert from the movie.
