About 3 years ago, i would be in my room with the radio blaring with this song and just danced my butt off! I knew it word for word.... then it went off the radio. I forgot about it. I was in school and this song just popped back in my head.... Ty for this wonderful video! Bringing back my good times :D <3
thumbs up if your still listening too this song in 2011 i was 3 when this song came out i used too replay this song over and over again it was and still is my favorite song
I met them in May 2000 when I was 16 yrs old in Amarillo TX. I got told by 1 of them that I had a pretty smile. I still have their autograph on a ticket stub put up in my hope chest. I dont wanna lose that.....lol. I saw them w/ my dad.....that was the last concert I went to w/ my dad too. Hes still a live yall.......just we now live 4 hrs away form each other.
I guess you are not the NWOBHM band from the 1980's out of Birmingham England; shame as they used to rock...this is a little tame for my liking..but good luck anyway
awsome song i love it, it sure throws me off a lil bit @1.35 when they say good bass fisher? That is a pretty funny looking bass, but that looks like an awsome steelhead lol
111sienna. sure do because a bar opened between Ft. Walton Bch and Destin Fla by the name Daddys Money around 85/86 When I heard this song I was sure it was the same song.....I feel old now
The sentence "Look whose lookin' at me" is wrong. The word you want there is "who's", a contraction for "who is" (or less often, "who was"). The word "whose" is either a possessive or relative pronoun: "Whose car is this?" or "The contest winner, whose burnt ends wowed the judges and spectators alike,..." Country fans have a reputation for being ignorant hicks. Great way to reinforce that stereotype.
That's a pretty anal comment. But hey, I guess you don't halve to search far to find a person who is grammatically ignorant. Just remember, Einstein wasn't the best speaker; yet he proved to be a brilliant man. Superficial faults should never be the basis of your judgment. (P.S. I purposefully used the word "halve" instead of "have". I bet you got a good laugh at that one.) I do have to admit, it pains me to hear people (not you) using the word "ignorant" ignorantly. Great song, by the way.
As long as people think it's "anal" to care about spelling words correctly, they'll misspell words. I know a lot of people who aren't good speakers, but there is no excuse for improper use of the WRITTEN language.
Poor spelling/grammar/usage indicates a lack of respect for the audience. I read emails all the time from higher-ups who clearly don't think they need to spend a few moments proofreading in order to save hundreds of employees' time making sense of their incoherence.
Yeah, it is kind of pathetic when a director asks his employees (myself included) to proofread his letters/emails before sending them. At least he realizes his weakness. Many mistakes are probably caused by rapid typing (ex: using "teh" instead of "the"). The rest are probably due to either plain ignorance or not caring (since they figure that the people reading their comments are complete strangers). That aside, I do wish that you wouldn't classify all country music lovers as ignorant.
I have not classified country music fans as ignorant. I have commented on the fact that we have such a reputation (which I don't believe is arguable), and that a cavalier attitude toward language is one of the contributing factors to that perception.
You're technically correct SumErgo, but I think you're missing the broader point here. Language can be used for a lot of things, and while correct grammar is usually important, it can interfere with some of these other purposes.
So you're saying that a person transcribing the lyrics misspelled the word "who's" as "whose" ON PURPOSE, to . . . ??? I'm at a loss here. Help me out. It isn't a pun. What exactly is the purpose of using the wrong homophone in this context?
Hmmm...yes, I see your point, SumErgo. I commented without taking the time to make sure I understood the issue here. You're right (How often does one get that on YouTube? :) ). Also agree with you about crappy emails. dude I know what U mean :)
does any one else remember a song with the chorus singing "with daddy's money"? think it was out in the 80's....and it wasn't country but still good song?????
Yea, I was there too. I recorded the song Daddys Money, the AC/DC song, and Seven Bridges Road (bad me...I recorded and you werents supposed to) oh well I'm sure a lot of ppl filmed it
OMG!!! I saw them! Tonight! I got a signed picture, and a signed CD! They were at a spinch festival! And they rocked! A little girl came up to the stage and started to dance and sing some of it! (I did) They rocked at the song thats love, and this one., They started to play drums all together, then sang the ending! I still have a headache from them, but I will never forget it!
