  • Do companies give you pedals to demo them in a great way or are you just a member of the 1%

  • Lol does he sound like Jack Black or is that just me?

  • how is this different from the orville harmonizer...

  • Does everything that you can with regards to pitch. Its industry standard in pedal form. Its bloody great.

  • I just can't justify spending $500 to make my guitar sound like a general MIDI casio.

  • cool rug

  • FAIL

  • 0:26 probably lots of trouble for gearmandude hahaha lol

  • It's probably been said but are you Jack Black?

  • i know the guitar shop where gearmandude works. if youre ever there you will know. the reverb of the room with his voice is undeniable

  • Are you the Same Guy That Does Epic Meal Times ? :o

  • Gearmandude = JB

    Picker = KG

  • 6:34 hahahahaha!!!!! but true!

  • Does the Eventide Pitchfactor have memory sets ?

  • I think this guy is Jack Black's bro!

  • @showmaker it might as well actually be jack black himself

  • Unuseful, right ???

  • you dummy! You were scrolling through the effect types, not the presets or banks. You were hitting the button to go to the next bank and then turning the encoder knob. This does NOTHING. Hit the bank up footswitch, then hit either the left or middle foot switch to choose the preset. you missed all the presets.

  • This thing is To Expensive for being a Box! And Not User Friendly!

  • Thanks man! Now I know exactly how to use the pedal. Answered every question I had about it, showed me IN DETAIL exactly how to use it. NOT!!!!!

  • @Kenny12554 I am posting some settings for using this thing as I figure them out. What I do is record something then mix a video of my settings with some trippy slide show or something. This is most useful during reamping tracks, as I demonstrate in my latest video taking one track and making it sound like 4 or five different takes that have bar dives that weren't there before and harmonies, etc.

  • i have pitch factor.. dont you think, that he miss pentatonic, blues, minor blues scales?

  • wtf!? its gearmandude..lol i took i glance at ur name so i could telll people about u but i told them germandude...haha...wow i gotta tellem that haha

  • This thing would be amazing, for vocals

for guitar though, not so much

  • If I had this pedal, I would do exactly what GMD did... go thru every setting once ... and then probably never turn it on again. lol

  • 6:16 was the best preset. Haunting

  • dude..... when you press the Bank button you also have to press the A or B button to select the bank, otherwise it will just say where you are.

  • ive never got the appeal of this sort of fx, ring modulation sucks. now the new boss gt 10 has some whizzy sounds from what i can see............or should that be hear??............smell??

  • Cool toy, but too much stuff for anything other than trippy noises now and again. Reminds me of the MXR rackmount pitch transposer. Really wild stuff, but hard to use if you're just the kind of player who wants to set it and walk away. As always, thanks GMD, and to the new mystery stuntman. ;)

  • Cool machine, but when you have this toy you're more on the knob than on the guitar no?

    6:38 frog.

  • That arpeggiator sounds pretty fucking cool.

  • Some say GMD has four hands....

  • that's a gorgeous clean tone

  • "Must have been the chicken salad."

  • Jeez .. if you ever find more than a couple of uses for this thing, you'd better have a notebook or camera phone handy. "Yeah man ... I remember the settings ... I think it was 1 o'clock, 4 thirty, 2 o'clock, 11 fifteen, 8 twenty, 6 thirty five.. oh wait .. or was that 7 twenty. lol

And for the bonus sound .. set them all to 4:20. Fun to play with, but don't think I'd pay $500 for it

  • @Stratomacaster You do know you can store your settings in a maximum of 50 banks, of which each bank has two presets?

  • @KHGuitarFreak1988 Nope.. But I do now! ;-) I guess if you're not a 'stomp-n-go' kinda guy like me it might be worth it. And I did pay about the same amount in a RC-50 looper and Space Echo, so yeah .. I guess it would be worth it if you're willing to put the effort into it.

    Cheers.

  • My guess is that it's a girl.

  • obviously the special guest is kyle gass

  • I think mat bellamy use this on Map of the Problematique, sounds like a litle modification on that arp preset.

  • @vegardertilbake1 Nah, it's that Boss GG-20 or whatever it's called. The sequencer. Green double sized Boss pedal. Yknow what I'm talking about?

  • if i had seen this demo i would have got this instead of the hog

  • oke cool :P dont know who that is well.. probably heart him play one time but doesnt come to mind either way its not my thing :P

  • @levitheguitarplayer

D: you don't know who zappa is? ;(

  • @karl198 bwahahahahah! levitheguitarplayer needs to listen to more music...eh...oh well............kids

  • I would need weeks to get through this one. It does sound cool on some settings though. KOOL Thanks GMD and sideman :O)

  • sounds like a lot of Mars Volta songs...sweet stuff...i really hate octavers...sorry everybody they suck

  • That pedal sounds worse than the background music in the 70's Doctor Who episodes!

  • You can't play pentatonic licks on every effect! A different style would suit these sounds more, bet johnny greenwood would know what to do with it.

  • That guy sucked.

  • yep it does suck how in the hell you gonna use this on stage!! maybe the manufacturer is okay but .. this pedal isnt

  • @levitheguitarplayer in the studio for recording where it doesn't matter if you spend time adjusting knobs and widgets...???????

  • @JUMBOpin

hmm i think if you are in a good studio they use better effects.

But okay okay you can use it in a studio dont know how you gonna implement it in your music though.

  • @levitheguitarplayer i know a lot of bands that make huge concept albums dont sound the same on stage because of the fact that the song never translates to stage because you'd have to have 5 hrs to recreate the sound...and that's ok...sometimes the song stripped down is just as good if not better than the original

  • @levitheguitarplayer

frank zappa used one on stage..

  • GOD, I needed that right now! X-D !!!!!

  • This is even worse than your whammy demo.

  • =/ They should change the name of this pedal to the brain fart

  • Eventide does not make things that suck, just nothing they make is particularly user friendly.

  • There can be no good demo of this thing. It just sucks!

  • You could make an EPIC 8-BIT BAND like this

  • Before it was: "Who is the gearman dude?"

Now it is: "Who is the special guest Picker?"

  • @TheOscana and still 'who is gearmandude?' lol

  • @TheOscana kyle gasssssssssss.

  • @TheOscana - Its Black Jack!

  • @TheOscana What's next?

  • @TheOscana It's his cat. All four paws!

  • @TheOscana hmm.. maybe his boyfriend

  • Thats pretty cool!
